On our first day, renting a boat, we went back to the marina to refill the boat, and it was $100 for fuel. If you join now, you can pay the initiation fee, and there won't be any monthly dues that you have to pay until next year! If they hadn't offered us that promotion, then we may not have joined. But we are so glad we did now!

We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

We rented from Lakeway Marina for the first time on August 9, 2025, and had an excellent…read moreexperience. The staff thoroughly explained how to operate the boat, anchor, and navigate the lake, which is why we chose to return for Fourth of July weekend. Unfortunately, the difference in service was night and day. At check-in, despite having reserved and paid months in advance, we were asked not only for our reservation confirmation but also for my fiancé's bank transaction to prove payment because of the marina's history of fraudulent reservations. As returning customers, being asked to provide our personal banking information to verify a reservation was both unnecessary and wildly unprofessional. Once on the lake, we had difficulty anchoring and called for assistance. We followed the instructions we were given, but the anchor detached completely from the rope. We returned to the marina and were charged for a replacement anchor. Later, when it was time to leave, the replacement anchor became stuck. Even after two nearby boaters swam over to help, we could not retrieve it. We called the marina again, asked for troubleshooting, and requested someone come assist us. We were told no. We had no choice but to return without the anchor and were charged for both anchors and a late fee--even though the delay resulted from equipment issues and the marina declined to assist us on the water. What disappointed me most wasn't the charges--it was the lack of customer service. As renters with limited boating experience, we relied on the marina's guidance and assistance when problems arose. Instead, we were left to figure it out ourselves and then billed for the outcome. I emailed management in an effort to resolve the matter privately before posting a review and never received a response. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Lakeway Marina and will be taking my business elsewhere.

We are not experienced boaters, but that wasn't an issue because the staff provided a quick training on how to drive the boat. Unlike many other company's renting boats in the area, you can rent for an hour if you want. Many other require 3-4 hour minimums, which can get pricey, especially if you'd prefer a short excursion. There is free parking there and the pontoon we rented had a bluetooth system for playing music too. You can't beat their prices, so overall value is A+ in my book. If I'm in the ATX area again, I'll return.

I've been an FBC member for 2 years and it's hands down the BEST way to get out on the water! No maintenance, no slip fees or storage, no hassle or extra wear and tear on your vehicle from towing. One very reasonable monthly fee that covers everything. WAY cheaper than buying a boat and ZERO hassle! When you get to FBC the dock staff is there to check you out, then you go have a great time. When you're done, you text the dock phone when you're 10 minutes out and they're at the dock waiting to help. They send you a text receipt for your gas and you're DONE! Don't forget to tip the dock staff, they work their tails off to give you a great experience!

The pool was big enough to accomodate many different age groups and even had different activities to participate in while in it. There were the slides, a volleyball net, and huge floating lily pads lined up with a rope you could hold onto in order to cross on the pads! There were more than enough lifeguards on duty and the employees were all very helpful and kind. The only flaw I would say this place had was the fact that the pricing seems a bit high in my opinion. If it is a neighborhood swimming pool then it should practically be free for kids to get in and have some summer fun but the pricing was such that if you had a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) the total out of pocket would be near $30. I guess it is cheaper than if you were to take your family to Hawaiian Falls or another water park but it still seems a bit on the expensive side to me with way less rides and attractions compared to the "real" water parks. This place is a great get-away if you want to stay near the area or just have a short outing for little kids but otherwise if you are looking for a "water park" experience then you should probably just go to one. They allow coolers and had shaded picnic tables. There is not that much parking available compared to the size of the place but it doesn't seem like it would ever be at full capacity so it doesn't seem like an issue. There are a couple of things that weren't posted on the photos on here and one of them is their skate park. Another is their little "rock climbing" mountain for little kids. These attractions aren't really big but for Lakeway it is a big deal. This area doesn't really seem to have many parks or recreational places for little kids so it was quite refreshing to see a place like this. The skate park had teenagers hanging out and a few little kids and the "rock-climbing" simulation was probably about 5 feet tall and 10 feet in diameter so it isn't too dangerous but is fun for little kids to climb on and off of.

If I could give the Lakeway Swim Center 0 stars, I would. There are serious problems here with some…read moreof the users, but lifeguards and managers refuse to deal with them. When they do, they shoot the messenger and protect the guilty. There is one woman lap swimmer who nearly everybody is afraid of. She is as mean as a snake. She has been lying to people about me repeatedly. She called me an asshole to my face in front of others, for no reason. She has been pissed off because when people ask to share my lane, if they have plastic paddles I ask them not to use them because I have been hit hard by good swimmers and it hurts. You can look it up- injuries and pain from plastic paddle hits in lap pools is a known problem. Yesterday an obviously competitive swimmer asked to share my lane. At first I said ok but then I saw he had plastic paddles so I asked him not to use them and I told him why. I was polite and so was he. He went to another lane. Next I saw the woman talking with the lifeguard- this is what she does- she befriends the female lifeguards then manipulates them into coming after me. Next, a guy in the middle lane starts talking loudly for all to hear saying "everybody has to share". He too obviously was upset at me. I have never spoken to the guy. I think he may have also been manipulated by this terrible woman. I corrected him. I said that I have no problem sharing, but I have a problem with the plastic paddles because they hurt when people hit you with them. He accused me of poor arm control, which was a lie. When sharing I always stay far on my side, and I never swam with this guy. Then I see the lifeguard standing near me with the assistant pool manager, who until recently, I thought was a friend. They were whispering. I said "Hey, come here. I want to talk to you about what has been happening here. Only the assistant director came over. I told him exactly what had happened. He told me that I cannot ask people not to use plastic paddles. Today I got a call from the pool director. Before he could say anything, I said- I am going to tell you what really happened. I told him the true story. He said that was not what he was told by multiple people. Clearly, the others were lying- probably repeating the lies the old woman told them about me. Before that, I offered to never occupy an entire lane, to demonstrate that I have no problem sharing. And I said if anybody asked to share with plastic paddles I will give up my lane and share with somebody else. And I said if that is not good enough, you can give me my money back and I will never go to your evil pool again. So that is the situation. I have more horror stories about the Lakeway Swim Center lap pool but thats enough for now. Do yourself a favor- skip this pool of Lakeway affluenza and entitlement.

But with that, you loose space to lay out. And then there becomes no place to walk around. Not complaining. Thrilled we have the water level back to 100% Hippie Hollow is the only nude beach in Texas. So I'm told. Started many decades ago when the catch phrase "keep Austin weird" actually meant something. Weddings have actually been performed here. Maybe someday mine will too. Haha. I went all the way down to trail 6 to see if there would be an easy way down, and easy to get out of the water. Now that the water level is so high, it just becomes a cliff. Easy to get in, just jump. But climbing out, can get a little tricky. Picking a trail to go down can be tricky. Of course you want to give people their private space. You need a spot where you can lay out on a blanket. And getting out of the water easily where you don't have to be rescued. I needed rescuing last time, and luckily I was able to get in and out fine on my own. The second time a gentleman was walking past, and offered his hand to help me out. People are just so friendly here. I met two gentleman separate occasions. Very nice. Apparently they are regulars here. Water was choppy again. It's hard to just float and relax. You just have to keep treading water and keep your head up. Super freeing. Natural. Water is refreshing, the Texas sun is like no other. But the ants! Oh my word, they bit. Next time ant spray. They're brutal. Till next time Hippie Hollow, stay weird.

Lakeway Police does patrol for safety. It definitely a beautiful view and very peaceful! I live on the upper part of the lake in the hills without access so it's rare that I get a chance to get down and this gives me my fix!

Let's start with the cons: it's seriously off the beaten path- there's nothing out there. Bring everything you need- water, food, sunscreen etc. Secondly, there is literally no beach- just rocks, lots of rocks. Lastly, it is not dog, kid, or "out of shape" friendly. You have to climb around and over all those rocks to get to the water. (Oh, and there is a fee per person, if there's someone on duty). Now the pros- it is seriously off the beaten path, which means there's parking and very few people. Secondly, the water is clear and beautiful as are the views. It is near a marina, so boaters give nice waves every so often. Lastly, I loved sitting in my float just listening to the water hit the rocky shore. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you go- enjoy!

Was about a 20 minute ride to devils cove. Take in the views and add some sunscreen! There was a pretty large cooler available, however we did have a couple of our own too. Driver, Michael, was great to ride with. We ended up parking next to a group throwing around a football that hit our stuff and made a mess. Michael was great to get the other group to stop and get it cleaned up. Bathroom was available for an extra $50. Was like a little pop up tent. Bring a designated phone to play music on the boats speakers. Pretty decent sound, just had some bots docked around us that were obnoxious. Lilly pad was a huge plus to help stay afloat in the water. Fit 6 people comfortably, 10 was a bit tight. Overall a great experience. Pretty big party scene at devils cove during early June.
