This place was so fun! We spent time o. The Oceanside patio by the gas fires at night, we hung out on the parking lot side patio, we snacked on the morning breakfast (oat meal,hot water,coffee,creamer,tea,fruit,pastry's. They also have an ice machine. We got a top floor room with an amazing view. Balcony was a little narrow but that's fine we didn't care. Our room was clean and we had had a Keurig with pods and good creamer. They have a fridge and microwave too, huge flat screen with all the options. We called day of to check in early and they got us in about an hour early, yay! They were kind enough to give us a late checkout after a busy holiday weekend. When I asked the staff for help they were nice. The office has a lot of extra snack and drink options for sale too. There's also staircase beach access. Was a great time! read more

She called herself a manager of Sailor Jack, she is very rude and disrespectful she hung up on me couple times when I asked per phone call for clarification to follow up for a process of cancellation refund and response to email requested by Bookin.com to complete the process. Customer service at motel were rude and unhelpful. Strongly discourage families from staying at hotel manager of hotel frightened my children by yelling at them. Also not a good hotel for elderly or anyone with a disability--it has extremely steep and slippery stairs to second and third floors and down to the beach. Rooms were also not clean and there was hair in shower and around sink. Overall, unpleasant experience and I would discourage you from staying at this motel. read more

I can't believe this place only gets a 3.3. We got an unbelievable deal on this place and couldn't believe our luck. The view from our room was amazing, right on the beach. Very cool ambience. We were on the third floor, left our door open all night and fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and a cool breeze. This is the first time in years I've stayed at a hotel that wasn't noisy. I love this place. Staff exceptional as well as the room. Very clean and looking out the slider and the ocean view is breathtaking. There are stairs that go down to the beach and a wide variety of restaurants to go to depending upon your hankerings. Even the heavy footed Sasquatches upstairs couldn't dampen our spirits. Room wasn't cleaned or ready on arrival. TV's didn't work. Internet was broken, so none the entire stay. They have no grass or dog area at all. The steps down to the beach are dangerous and garbage everywhere. They have ladders and garbage under the decks, siding falling off. It was Superbowl weekend, they could've at least had the fires going to make it nice for guests. BUT, the cherry on top is how rude the managers are and make you feel like you are annoying. I have called to speak with owners and was told the visit during the week and will call. STILL WAITING! Terrible customer service for a small-town motel. DO BETTER! DO NOT STAY HERE.. Shearwater Inn as well as West Beach Suites are both a million times better and they treat you like they are happy you are there. read more

Acceptable rooms at an affordable rate. The jetted tubs are extremely powerful it will shoot water out of the tub if you're not blocking them. Mopping the floor is not a cool experience. Hot water volume for the tub is 1/3 of the cold took 90 minutes to fill the tub. The view from the room is amazing. Rolling waves and the roar of the ocean from your window. We were really disappointed with how this hotel handled a power outage during our stay on 12/18/2025. A town-wide outage began around 3:00 PM. While we understand that this was outside the hotel's control, the lack of communication and guest care was unacceptable. We honestly loved the hotel room and I booked a second night because I loved it. Unfortunately, no staff checked on us or provided updates until we went to the office ourselves. I was repeatedly told the power would be back "within an hour," which led us to wait for several hours in a pitch-black, very cold room. When I checked again, a staff member came to our room, started a fire, and gave us a lantern, warning the fire might go out due to wind--which it did. He again told us the power would be restored within an hour, then changed it to "an hour or two." I left to find food and returned to find the power still out. By that time, the office had closed even though guests were still on the property, which felt especially inappropriate during an emergency situation. By around 10:00 PM, with no power and no real assistance, most nearby hotels were no longer accepting reservations. I was forced to book a hotel in another town and didn't arrive until nearly 11:00 PM. That evening, I called to ask about a refund for the unused night, making it clear that I enjoyed the stay up to that point and understood the outage wasn't their fault. The staff member became defensive, claimed I "sounded frustrated," and dismissed and possibility of a refund. The next day I spoke to the manager and she was very dismissive and accused me of lying about the repeated assurances I was given about the power coming back on. This review isn't about the outage itself--it's about poor communication, misleading information, lack of guest support, and unprofessional behavior. Had I been given honest information, we could have made other arrangements sooner and avoided a very stressful night. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again based on this experience. read more

I found my room at Sailor Jack Inn to be clean with a great view. There was little that I didn't care for except for the loud heater that made it hard to sleep. None of that was a big enough deal for me not to come back next time my husband and I are in Lincoln City. My rating is based on what happened after I left. When I arrived home, the day I checked out, I realized that I had left my blanket in the bed. This was a very important blanket, so I immediately called the Inn to let them know I left it and ask if anyone had found it. I was told that when the housekeepers came in the next morning he would check with them. I hadn't heard back the next morning so that afternoon I called again. I was told that they still weren't sure where my blanket was and they would call me back. I made sure to let them know the blanket was very sentimental to me. I checked out on a Friday and called to ask about my blanket once or twice a day because I never received a call back. On Monday afternoon, I called again. The man said that he would go check in the laundry. He came back to the phone and said that they didn't have my blanket. I asked if that meant that someone maybe threw it away? He told me no, what he meant was that it was never in the bed in the first place. Wait, so my blanket disappears and suddenly I'm delusional? I take full responsibility for not making sure I packed everything before checking out. However, the way this was handled by Sailor Jack Inn's employees was not okay. I don't appreciate someone trying to gaslight me instead of just apologizing for the blanket disappearing. I've never heard of a place throwing people's belongings away especially the same day. So, if you decide to stay here, my advice is to be very careful not to leave anything behind. Not only will you never see it again, but they will try and make you feel like you're crazy. Oh, and bring earplugs for the loud heater because you can't hear the ocean in these rooms anyway. read more

You can feel the attention and care in the details with this healing space. Good space, good people, good price, good vibes all around. The rooms are so cute and clean. We had an ocean view and listened to the sound of the waves as we fell asleep. So peaceful. This is a dog friendly inn additional price depends on the size of your dog. Lots of walkable places to eat and grab coffee. All in all great experience and will be back for sure. read more

My husband and I booked a room here for our anniversary....It was a Saturday night, and we got our room for less than $150.00. The room was newly remodeled, we had an amazing view of the beach. We slept with the window open all night so we could hear the ocean. We had a gas powered fire place....I would highly recommend!!!! read more

I tried this hotel because it has been remodeled. I stayed years ago and it was pretty old. Here are the PROS: Great views, nice staff, easy to find, bidet a fancy one. CONS: although they were remodeled it's was not a high quality job and the rooms feel half way dated, only one old pleather 90s style chair in the room, bed is on top of a metal box it's rusty and every time you get in bed it gets kicked and makes a big bang, bed sheets rough, pillows flat hard old, beads peas worn out, the jacuzzi is for someone under 5'2, jets are low pressure. The room we got was apparently a pet room lots of dog hair asked about it they said it's all they had on a Wednesday? In front of the sliding door the floor is coming apart they have no screens on the doors. On the 1st floor a screen would be nice. I most likely won't stay again due to still being dated. Not a horrible place though. read more

This review is from awhile ago sorry. When we were there The person who checked us in was so nice. We had the room with the huge hot tub. When we turned it on the jets were strong and got the bed wet. Chris was so nice about getting new sheets and blanket. The room is really nice. It also had a fireplace and a little deck outside our room. The Ocean was really close by. You walk off the deck and the water was about 100-200 feet away. We sat outside watching the sun go down enjoying the ocean. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a great price for our room. read more

April 7, 2024. We stayed one night at Sailor Jack's with our two small dogs. The room was very-recently remodeled and incredibly nice. A lot of thought was put into the details and the property is as close to the water as they get. It should really be called "Admiral Jack's" because you get a commanding view of the ocean, and the amenities were of that caliber. They went with a very large window that goes further down than your standard hotel window. You can lay in bed and look right out at the ocean. They have a stairway down to a perfect beach where you can walk miles in both directions. All the furniture and fixtures are recently updated. The room had a very clean, modern look and feel. The toilet even had a high-end bidet seat, much nicer than my bidet-seat at home. Once you "go water" it is next to impossible to go back so it was really amazing to find it at Sailor Jack's. The room had a delightful little table and two comfortable chairs near the window... perfect for whale-watching while enjoying some coffee. Even the art was on a higher level. For example, in the bathroom there was a picture that incorporated actual grass, etc. I realize it is a minor detail but I feel it reflects the caring that went into the remodel; they put their heart and soul into it, so to speak. read more

First time staying here and we were pleasantly surprised. Mostly updated rooms, comfy bed and rooms have a beautiful view! There's also a light breakfast in the office. Spacious deck to enjoy if you don't want to walk down to the beach. Pets are allowed too. I would say the only downfall is the parking is tight and the walk down to the beach is narrow so it would be nice if they invest in more stable wider stairs. The price was more than fair. The office/maintenance staff was extraordinary and accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure my stay was perfect. I was on a two-week road trip that brought me home to Clovis CA (central CA) to unbelievable heat ... and I am now continuing to appreciate the cool temps, sun, breeze and the sounds of the ocean I experienced. Room was dirty with hair on the toilet and on the bed. There was also a wet used face towel on the sink. Upon speaking with the very rude front office lady, she told us there were no rooms available and we couldn't get our money returned. They are also spraying for bugs in the rooms too as we were approached when we exited our room and the employee asked where the bugs were that needed sprayed. When we asked for our money back, she started yelling at us and threatening us. She interrupted us many times while yelling for another employee to come help her argue. At that point, just wanted our money back. The other employee then told us we were crazy and off our rocker. Finally we got our money back and as we were leaving the motel, the other employee told us to get the hell out of here and threatened to punch us with a bug sprayer nozzle then call the cops. They are seriously crazy here and the worst I have ever been treated. Nasty people, nasty rooms. Do not stay here. read more

Beautiful place to stay room are very clean updated. Front desk staff was so friendly and all the other staff I ran into on the property were very nice. My only complaint was the pillows but again I am very picky on pillows. Will be back again, so stay here it is worth it. Nice and quiet when we were here and place was sold out. I've known a couple of folks who have stayed here and the reviews were all over the place, from great to never again. My view is is little of both. Pros: Let's face it, it's the view and location. If you want on the beach this is perfect. A huge panoramic window that covers the entire wall. The rooms are nicely renovated, clean and well stocked. There is a large patio with loungers to sit and enjoy the breeze and sound of the ocean without going down to the beach. Great price for oceanfront! Cons: 3 stories, no elevators. To get down to the beach, there is a wooden staircase, the equivalent of about 3 stories, I can do one flight, but couldn't even attempt this massive flight. (Again, the patio area is a great exception to the beach). The parking is limited, if you have an RV or large truck, your likely out of luck. No restaurant on site, but there are many close by. Overall, if stairs are not a problem, this is a great place for the money. Sandy beauty awaits! read more

Jerks. At first, my roadtrip buddy and I were super excited about Sailor Jack's - they were super accomodating when we needed to change our reservation to a night later . . . . . we had originally booked a room on the first level, but they didn't have any available for the following night, so they put us on the top floor instead! What a great view!!! The bed was comfy and there were extra pillows and a DVD player which was nice. AND we were on the top floor! But that's where it all turned south . . . It's not Sailor Jack's fault that a storm rolled through that night, but when our ceiling began leaking in 5 different spots, that was definitely their problem. We called the front desk around 1am and they didn't seem too concerned. I stayed up most of the night trying to get little buckets going next to the bed to catch the drips and stayed 1/2 asleep because I was paranoid that the next drip to appear would either be on my stuff, or on the bed, or on my face. The next morning during checkout, we let them know that the ceiling was leaking really badly and they were really apologetic and asked if it was the part of the ceiling near the window . . . . . . they asked as if it has happened many times before! This leak was on the side of the room far away from the window and they were suprised because they "had the pumps going" on the roof. And then the kicker . . . . they said that the owner was looking into replacing the roof, so THE NEXT TIME WE STAY THERE, the roof will be fixed. Awwwww, HALE NO! That's our compensation for dealing with your shitty roof all night? The hope and promise that it'll be better the next time we stay? There won't BE a next time. Aaaaand . . . apparently I'm still awfully bitter! read more
