Pasta Fagioli Soup. Vegan and hearty.
    Evan W.

Reserved a table at Rosti for Mother's Day Dinner because our son is vegan and they have a large menu of options for him. Our table was waiting when we arrived, and the pleasant hostess seated us immediately. The restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmingly so, therefore the staff had enough breathing room to tend to us (to everyone) nicely. The bright, casual dining room was lively, had upbeat music playing, and was being kept neat & clean by a fast moving crew. Our server did a great job of confirming details about the vegan items and various other menu selections. Our food was prepared quickly, and served piping hot. My wife had the Grilled Salmon Piccata, which was a generous cut of fish prepared to a pleasing medium temp, with a nicely buttery lemon sauce and plump roasted potatoes on the side. Very tasty. My daughter went for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich on their house-made ciabatta bread -- a fresh and substantially stacked sandwich with good-tasting chicken and crispy, shoestring fries. My son opted for a bowl of Pasta Fagioli Soup, which was hearty and rich despite being vegan. That, paired with plenty of the house ciabatta, and he was full without ordering anything else. The one disappointment was my own meal: the Smoked Sausage Pie. This was a pizza supposedly made with smoked mozzarella, but the cheese had no elevated, smoky flavor at all. The sausage was fresh and had a hint of fennel, but was not particularly "sweet" as advertised (which is usually a different flavor than simply "mild"), and the pizza was not prepared well-done as requested. The caramelized onions, however, were very tasty and I appreciate the time and effort that went into preparing those. Given the holiday and the busyness of the restaurant, I didn't feel I needed to complain about the pizza or ask that it be redone. There will be other pizzas on other days, and I'm okay with that. It was a good place to celebrate a family day.

Decided to try this on a random weekday night and it wasn't very crowded. Our server Sam was extremely friendly and helpful the entire time. I got the grilled branzino, which initially I thought was a small portion, but turned out to be plenty of food. A very pleasant experience overall.

Really nice Italian restaurant with good quality food! It's in a shopping plaza so no need to worry about parking. Make a reservation but I'm sure they can get you in if they're not busy. We chose to sit in the outside because of the nice weather and were shown to our table right away. I liked the fact that they had happy hour on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered some items off the happy hour menu on top of our main dishes. The pepperoni flatbread was a 4/5. The crust was a little too much to be called a flatbread but the flavors were on point. Garlic truffle fries 3/5, lacking truffle flavor. Mozzarella sticks 4/5. Lightly breaded and not heavy at all. Chicken piccata 5/5: light, the chicken was pounded out thin with a flavorful lemon butter sauce. Garlic masked potatoes were creamy. Vegetables were cut a little too thick. Tiramisu: 4/5, it's made in house Service: 5/5, our waiter was very attentive Would absolutely come back!

Rosti's is just great. They have real Tuscan food and it is exceptional. There is nothing not to love about this place. They also have a storefront in Santa Monica. It has a warm and super inviting atmosphere to make you comfortable. The place is just beautiful and it is ever so clean. You are never rushed. Now, it can get crowded so make a reservation. we were there on a weeknight, early and were just fine without a reservation, but I watched as it got more busy. The service is just great. The staff is attentive and kind. They know the menu well and will gladly help you out. Their attention to detail is evident in every dish. They use traditional cooking techniques and real Tuscan ingredients to make sure ever dish is perfect. They have great pasta, salads and desserts. We love their steak and their lasagna is the best. Their chicken dishes are great and love their bruschetta. They have take away and delivery, but if you can dine there. It is so wonderful.

Overall decent experience The pizza we ordered came with Calabrese never had it served in strips like that before it was interesting and I wasn't a huge fan of the crust. The chicken Milanese was amazing would definitely order again you have to get mashed potatoes with it and ask for extra lemon. Prosciutto with melon was great just wish they served it with a toasted bread of some sort Our server was really kind and attentive. Seating is always available I've never seen it really packed here

First time trying thanks to my cousin @Leonardoughs (be sure to check out his Instagram for delicious daily desserts) for the rec!! Came by after work last Friday 6/13 around 6pm. Maybe it was because of Friday The 13th but service was heavily lacking. I didn't catch the name of our waiter but he was MIA basically the entire time and forgot our second bread request so we had to ask again after waiting a while.. The food here is excellent and such a big menu! So much to try and I already want to go back FOR the food. The patio and weather was perfect that evening so I'm glad we opted for the outdoor seating. It wasn't very busy at all but he'd bring us our drinks and completely disappear for at least 20 minutes before we could finally order our main entrees. We tried to catch a movie after but timing just wasn't in our favor. Food came out quickly though, thankfully. Gave us enough time to enjoy our bread and I love the fact that they have the olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette on the table so you can put/refill as much as you want for the bread! SUUUUPER SOFT DELICIOUS BREAD BTW! Which is why we asked for more lol. We enjoyed our evening filled with catching up and laughter from the sweet neighborly old man who was telling us dad jokes all night. We ordered the Chicken Milanese (EDITED: had the wrong name and thought it was Marsala) and Chicken Piccata, fantastic. I enjoyed the Milanese more and hoping I can sub that into my piccata instead of the grilled chicken. All the food was wonderful and one of the best Shirley temples I've ever had! They did not skimp on the grenadine. Looking forward to coming back here despite our bad service. IG: @ammysalamii

Attention to my Yelper Elites, time co check out Rosti in Calabasas: My wife and myself come to Rosti just about every Friday night, you could say we are the regulars. Rosti Calabasas has two things going for it, the server we just adore Juan, and Mike behind the bar. Now, I would not call ourselves high maintenance, however we enjoy what we enjoy, and exceptionally great service will keep us coming back! There have been times when we show up, and Juan isn't there, honestly, we've gone elsewhere just because of his absence. With Juan, he knows how we expect the food to show up... remembers our usual drinks, and IF there is an issue, he takes care of it! Juan's attention to details, about us, our culinary wants and needs... it's nice to have that... this is reason 1 why we keep coming back. Reason 2... Mike behind the bar mid one heck of a mixologist! I can't tell you how many people get a Limoncello lemon drop with Bombay Sapphire Gin wrong! Is this drink on the menu, not quite, but with a kind word, a standard drink becomes a custom one... and Mike makes the very best drinks... Specially this one. It's funny really, we can tell when somebody else makes it... Mike's attention to the drink details, from the lightly sugar coated rim, to the dried blood orange slice... and a filled yo the brim chilled Martini glass! Perfection! Juan & Mike are the main reasons we keep coming back!

Normally happy hour is on their patio, but they seated us in their regular dining area, not sure why. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It was a nice day out, so we requested outdoor. Unfortunately that meant I was bitten by mosquitos a couple times. All cocktails on the happy hour menu are between $10-11. I got the Boston Sour and my friend got the Social Mule. We both liked our drinks. For food, we shared the following from the happy hour menu: Green goddess hummus ($8 hh) - pretty good, but I wish there was more pita to go with the hummus! Crispy chicken sliders ($11 hh) - ginormous chicken sliders! Would highly recommend! Meatball sliders ($11) - good but on the smaller side, especially when placed side by side with the chicken sliders lol Blackened salmon tacos ($11 hh) - also good, though I found the salmon a bit bland Presentation for the drinks and all the dishes was beautifully done. Everything is plated nicely even for happy hour dishes.

Paris, our server, was an absolute ray of sunshine. We decided to share a variety of dishes, which turned out to be the perfect way to experience the menu. I don't eat meat, but my fellow diners could not stop talking about the Braised Short Rib Rolled Lasagna. The Lemon Gnocchi was light and delicate, the beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, and the Crispy Squash Blossoms stuffed with ratatouille were absolutely delicious. The Cold Hamachi Aguachile was probably the most interesting dish of the night. It's almost like a fish snow cone, which sounds odd until you try it. My mom would call it "moreish" because every bite makes you want another. The Jumbo Prawns à la Plancha were also excellent. But the standout for me was the Eggplant Parmesan. It was completely over the top in the best possible way. If you told me to come back and order nothing but the eggplant and a martini, I'd happily call that dinner. What really stood out beyond the food was the pacing. Dishes arrived at just the right rhythm, the cocktails were excellent, and the playlist somehow added to the atmosphere without competing with the conversation. I took photos of everything, which should tell you how beautiful the food was, but the best part was simply having a genuinely fun evening with friends. Great food, great service, and a restaurant I'll absolutely be back to.

Luckily he wasn't there too long, as brunch-time was over. We ordered Mango margaritas, chips & salsa, birria tacos, tinga taquitos, elote, and chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Every single thing was delicious. I was highly impressed. This place will definitely be in the rotation. If I didn't live so far away, I would go for happy hour.

We did overhear someone asking about the cocktails and if they could make it less sweet. But found out that they're premixed. The area is quite beautiful outside with the flowers overflowing at the bar. Nice outdoor patio with covered tables seating. There used to be a nice tree right in the middle but has been removed, maybe it died. There's also a nice water feature. Between inside or outside, outside was nicer in my opinion. Inside is more of a bar experience. And the bartender was sweet and friendly.
