    Whiskeys!
    Stephanie A.

Saint Lawrence Spirits is a gem! We came in on a snowy afternoon and I got a whiskey flight of their offerings. Besides whiskey they also make moonshine, vodka, and absinthe. I was able to try all the whiskeys, had a taste of the vodka, and was able to try a few of the moonshines. Heidi, the sales and retail manager was absolutely fantastic! She is super knowledgeable about the process of the liquors and distillation process as well as being super friendly and fun! They serve popcorn as a bar snack and will keep filling the popcorn dish up if you do not ask them to stop. The place has a nautical theme and is super cute inside. They offer cocktail flights for all of the spirits they make and they serve them on a super cute wooden oar tasting board. They also have a very nice cocktail list with quality ingredients. If I'm ever in Clayton, NY again I will definitely be back!

Fun way to try new things. 3 tastings complimentary and then $1 after that is very generous. Definitely a must do activity in Clayton!

Whisky and Ginger Ale!! Wicked good stuff !! Delicious!

Heidi, besides being extremely entertaining, was brilliant in her knowledge of the drinks and the surrounding area.

We get there and the lady who seats you wasn't very friendly, and then she wanted to seat us straight in the sun when there was a spot in the shade open so I asked to be seated in there. This seemed to annoy the young lady. Our waitress never introduced herself, and we seemed to be bothering her the entire time by just sitting there. We never asked for a refill, any special accommodations to our food. We were polite, said yes ma'am, please and thank you. She never once refilled our drinks, seemed to be annoyed when she offered us dessert and we asked what they had. She did hand the table next to us free cannolis for their anniversary . (We're not upset we didn't get anything free... we just wanted a pleasant experience.) She only became polite when it came time for the bill since she probably wanted a nice tip. Maybe if the service wasn't better, we'd be back. I'm honestly disappointed in the whole experience.

Such a shame because this place should be 5 stars, but the service lacks refinement and maturity…read more We went twice in the last two weeks. First time would have been ok, but we were seated by the exterior patio door, which was extremely loud and jarring every time it closed, which was every 10 seconds. It was very hard to enjoy our dinner with that banging that echoed throughout the exposed ductwork. Second experience started out fine, we were there for drinks and dessert, asked to be seated outside and they put us at a high top in the corner. We were sitting there about 10 minutes when a teenaged boy very loudly told us they made a mistake and that we had to move....literally everyone around us stopped their conversations and stared. So we moved to where we were instructed to go. THEN we were told to move AGAIN. Come on. We told the boy that he was embarrassingly loud and he immediately got defensive and wanted to go "ask everyone" if he was loud. Unreal. When we left we told the manager that this was inappropriate and she blamed us. We told her about the obnoxious loud door and she said that it's been that way for 8 years Overall, the food and drinks are fine, atmosphere would be great except the noise of the exposed ducts, and the service is despicable.

First off, their website is odd. Not much information, quite confusing, sometimes it won't even load (on mobile device), so if you're trying to make a reservation, call them directly. Location, beautiful, along the river, great outdoor seating. I'm sure dinner and sunset is stunning. Good, it was okay. We ordered kids breakfast, huevos rancheros skillet thing, chicken and waffles, biscuit and gravy, and the whisky flight. The huevos ranchero was good, nothing to rave over but good. The chicken and waffles didn't come with syrup at first, I'm sure it was a mistake. The biscuit and gravy... looked amazing, but the biscuits were hard. Like rock hard, and even after sitting in the gravy, no moisture would come back. Haha Service... the lady was so sweet, but she kept forgetting us, she would place hot things right in front of the baby where she would easily grab it. She had a hard time splitting the bill. Ultimately we had to ask another waitress for water refill and splitting our bill. Maybe we will go back... but not in a rush.

Last summer (2024) we went up to find they were not serving meals. Their chef left, they couldn't get servers... I'd check in before you go or ask at their place in Clayton. The appetizer we originally ordered wasn't available, so we ordered the crab dip. Unfortunately, it contained very little crab, had a thick, paste-like texture, and was so unappetizing that we barely touched it. The entrees were even more disappointing. Two chicken dishes were literally inedible due to their taste, appearance, and poor preparation. The pork chops were edible but very dry, and they weren't served with the side dish described on the menu. The steak was also overcooked, dry, lacking flavor, and also came with the wrong side dish. What made the experience even more disappointing was the complete lack of attention from management. With multiple meals left untouched or barely eaten, you would expect a manager to stop by the table, ask about the experience, or make an effort to address the obvious problems. That never happened. The one bright spot of the evening was our server, who was absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, professional, and did everything she could to make the best of a very disappointing dining experience. She deserves recognition because the poor food and lack of management were not a reflection of her excellent service. In an effort of some compensation we were given a couple plates of chocolate covered cherries and cream that were the best part of the entire meal. Too little too late. I Do Not Recommend This Restaurant

We ordered the following: 1,000 Island Omelet (ham, onion, bell pepper, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes). The omelet was accompanied by perfectly seasoned potatoes, strawberries, and rye roast. The other order was the Harbor Breakfast (2 sunny side up eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes, English muffins, and strawberry). Both of these selections were flavorful, filling, and cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend the Seaway Grille enough and am so glad that it's conveniently located within the 1,000 Islands Harbor Hotel.

The "fresh baked" Mac and cheese suggested by the owner had no flavor. Not even cheese. Just mushy elbow macaroni. But worse, I asked if the battered haddock sandwich was fresh or frozen and the owner - who was sitting in a booth working on a laptop, lied and emphatically said it was. No, it sure wasn't. You know flat haddock strips that are breaded and frozen and sold in bulk? And the restaurant then just heats it up in hot oil? Kinda like a Tops fish fry? That's what it was. Slapped on a slightly toasted hoagie roll with a plastic cup of tartar sauce, no lettuce or tomato. Plus my $3 Diet Coke arrived in a little juice glass, lol. Lots of empty tables but still a 15 min wait, and they didn't seem to have enough staff to keep up with bussing dirty tables. All in all a poor lunch experience for two with bill over $50. Something is really wrong when a restaurant can't keep enough staff to run properly. I miss Koffee Kove.
