Nurses are lazy. Do not care about patients. Will avoid call lights. And do tests that have nothing to do with your symptoms

I called to schedule a new patient appointment and could have been seen the same week had my schedule permitted. However, I had to schedule for two weeks out. Then, the day before my appointment, I had to reschedule but was able to get in the next week - none of this waiting for a new appointment for weeks or months I've experienced at other medical offices in the area. Dr. Puckett recently moved into a new office on N. Highland, which was very easy to find and pleasantly decorated. While there I interacted with the woman working the front desk as well as the nurse, and both could not have been more friendly or professional. I only waited about 5 minutes before being called back. I really connected with Dr. Puckett. She is friendly, engaging, attentive and was very skilled at explaining complicated medical terms and conditions in a manner a layperson could understand. She took time to get to know me, and never once did I feel as if she was rushing me through the appointment. I have definitely found a doctor for life... or as long as my insurance plan will let me see her!

From beginning to now end, mind you I have no not had one actual appointment here, had been THE…read moreWORST experience of my life. The only saving grace of this place were one nurse that took my blood pressure and the two ladies at the desk that greeted me. From the start the place was under construction and in a state of disarray. Okay understandable. Then one I finally get back to the room after waiting for quite a while I wait for over an HOUR before the doctor comes in. Once again me and my husband say that we understand. When the nurse practitioner Hannah comes in, she does listen but she goes over everything pretty fast, my husband asks if she would mind writing it down for us, she says no. What? So once again I intercede for us and say I'll just remember it. My husband and I are trying very hard to have a child and take this very seriously. She orders lab work, tells me to call a number for a test, and get an ultrasound. Okay. I say hey I haven't liked the 6 or 7 other prenatals I've tried would you please recommend one, she not once twice but thrice that anything over the counter... I'm sorry? I insist hey can you please call in a prescription. She said she will. She didn't. I left not feeling good about everything still giving a benefit of the doubt, so time comes to schedule this appointment with the hospital, they've never received my orders. My husband and I called atleast 4 times in the span of two weeks for prescriptions that never got called in. No response. I explained I'm locked out of the patient portal to speak with someone as well. Finally a nurse manager who comes of indifferent on the phone finally calls in prescriptions. Great. I explain to her about The orders that never went through she said oh yes they did and tells me the dates. Turns out they were sending them to the wrong fax the fax number in which I had to call the hospital and get myself. I say I'm coming to the facility to get a printed version and confirm they close at 5. I rush after work I'm at a new job mind you. They have the doors locked at 445pm they let me in I get orders I ask them to send to correct fax. Thinking this is finally over, the hospital now says I have to go back to said doctor and get a pregnancy test even though the whole point of this procedure is to do it when you already know you are not pregnant! I'm upset I call the doctor back speak to a manager again. She says that's odd and they don't know how they'll fax over pregnancy test results but they'll figure it out. So I tell them when I'm coming the following week, she tells ME to bring the fax number for the hospital. I've worked in a doctors office. How do you not know to have a common fax number for a hospital? Fine everything is set. I wake up Saturday morning to a TEXT MESSAGE. Saying my provider is sending me to a LABCORP for lab work.... Can not call the doctor office and even leave a message because they're closed. Now they want me to take even more time out of my day, waste more time, calling them to find out why in the world they never told me they were instead going to send me some place other than the drs office itself, where the wait time is literal HOURS. I was going to run to the dr office on my lunch break. My husband and I are completely defeated, angry, and every other word in between. This experience from start to finish has been awful. If this is how they treat someone before they've conceived, why in the world would I trust them with my life and the life of another? I was nice even apologetic the entire time to the facility but In reality none of this was my fault. They failed me. And this is the final straw. Now I'm angry.
