They are SO-O-O well-organized: when you arrive you are taken from machine to machine so that Dr. Ash has all of the info needed to make his diagnosis when you see him for your actual appointment. I had bilateral cataract surgery done, with an amazing outcome! The colors in this world are so beautiful; they had gradually faded from my experience. More importantly (to the CHP), I can now see the white lines on the highway!! My surgical outcome exceeds my expectations; I experienced zero pain. Very little downtime. Everyone I have met in the waiting room during pre- and post-surgical visits is happy with their care. My only regret? Why did I wait so long?

The girls are all kind, helpful, and always go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your glasses. I have gotten regular glasses and sunglasses from the office. They have a beautiful selection and the girls will always find something that looks good on you. They can even order frames for you if you want a different color other than what they have in the office. As far as the location, there is always a lot of room to park and the area is clean and safe. It can be hard to find the office if you have never been before so I would recommend entering the suites off Oakdale, next to Burger King and the apartments. The office is in the back corner. We go every December and can't wait to go back. Best doctor we have ever had. Prescriptions are always 100% and his exams are different than other places because he has new technology. The optometrist is very polite and knowledgeable and i highly recommend her services, BUT the people she hired to manage everything else, are very rude and unprofessional. Often times I call and no one answers. When I had to reschedule a eye appointment, I called, and left a voicemail and didn't get a callback, and I know they have a no-show fee, so I called again and again, and nobody answered so I left a email and finally they answered the call and said they're going to charge me a no-show fee. In that case I told them I left a voicemail and I even provided proof that I had sent an email regarding my appointment that I can't make. they then told me that they will on their behalf, not charge me a no-show fee, like they are doing me a favor, do not recommend them at all anymore.

This review is based upon one of the workers named Amy. She took my father back and she was exceptionally rude. We were at the part where he puts his forehead against the machine and he sees a black square, and you press a button when you see it flicker. So my father Doesn't speak much English. Although he understands, he gets confused sometimes and I was trying my best to translate as much as possible. And you can clearly tell that Amy was getting very frustrated and irritated. Her eyes were widening and she was doing all these hand motions. At one time my dad had to repeat the test and she took a huge sigh and said we have to repeat the test because he isn't doing it properly. I mean listen... if you are going to get that irritated and don't have the slightest amount of patience or compassion. You are in the wrong field. She was very professional and extremely knowledgeable and was very patient with all our questions. She had great presence and was interesting to learn from. I have no doubt that whenever she comes in the contact with customers that come to see her for whatever reason that she's very successful and explaining and or fixing the problems that they have when they come in. After the second my fathers eye never healed as promised. His vision got progressively worse. After about 10+ appointments and doctor only spending a few minutes then just prescribing drops each time we decided not to go anymore. After sharing how we felt with the doctor is the first time we experienced any sort of genuine treatment from him. Very disappointed and shocked to be refused by a doctor when their sole purpose should be patient care. You have to understand that my mom was EXIGENT about not getting a pair of glasses after her cataract surgery a few years back. She was so adamant, we had to pay extra for the fancy lenses to be put in her eyes at the time of the surgery. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when my parents called me after their appointment GUSHING about Dr. Garrett and how my mom had also gotten a pair of glasses ordered! Understand that I have been BEGGING her to get glasses for years after her surgery and, somehow, this young man was able to manage what I had thought to be impossible. They gushed about how thorough he was with them. They gushed about how, even though my parents are ESL, he somehow managed helping them understand the findings/recommendations of the visit w/o an interpreter (which is usually me). AND THEN.....he recommended some eye drops to my mom who shares Central Valley dry eye issues with me. So, I ended up with the same eye drops I have been using for the last few weeks and they have been AMAZING for me. So...my parents glasses arrive and a complimentary blue cleaning cloth also arrives...one side has grippies so that your fingers don't slip against the cloth as you clean your glasses! TRULY....thank you for addressing the smallest things. For those of you out there who knows how difficult it can be to manage a set of aging parents, this has been a true blessing.

I have been going to this place for my eye care over 30yrs and when I went to pick up my glasses…read morebecause they told me about 6 months ago that my insurance would not pay for my glasses until June and when I went back to them in June they told me that they were not going to give me the glasses because I was supposed to go to another doctor to get my cataracts fixed and I tried to tell them that they were wrong because I had my cataracts fixed when I was 25 years old and cataracts are not able to come back when I now have artificial lenses in my eyes and then the manager told me that she was feeling threatened by me because of the way I was looking at her which made no sense because a look isn't a threat I told her then that's when she said I think you should leave because they don't take my insurance anymore and we don't like your kind here I asked her what do you mean my kind and that's when she bent her wrist down and said that kind which was the the way gays do when they have limp wrists
