This was a pretty bad experience across the board. We ordered chicken teriyaki , and they brought chicken tempura. Mix ups happen, but the server responded by loudly saying "ugh" rolling his eyes and walking away, no apology. Then when it was brought out, the chicken was spoiled. I have been here twice so far both time we ordered Sushi and sat at the Hibachi Tables. Drinks are on point, we think their Scorpion Bowl is better than the Mai Tai. The Margarita was good as well, and draft beer wasn't flat. The Sushi was excellent both times We got the Tuna cucumber roll and the Spicy Tuna roll, fresh, delicious and came out quickly. And was COLD. The Tuna Cucumber roll is raw Tuna, last place i had it the roll was warm as if it sat out waiting to be served to us for a while. But Sakana has been on point both time. The Hibachi was good, both times we ordered the steak and chicken combo. The noodles are not my thing but was a nice touch and different than the other locations i have tried. The steak and chicken were good but nothing to rave about. The chef and entertainment vary, we had Mike last night and ill will request him going forward. Have been to Sakana twice now, once for a quick take out and once for lunch with my daughter. This restaurant is stunning! The service was wonderful! The food was spot on!!! I didn't find their prices high, especially given the quality and quantity of their food, and for the amazing atmosphere (and as patrons you do pay for that...this place is spectacular, worth the price!!). Lunch time found us with a 3 roll sushi option for $12.99. That is a fantastic price! And it came with a miso soup or salad. My daughter got yakisoba with chicken, it was amazing!! I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants and am so happy to have found Sakana!! I decided to get takeout to try it and WOW I was blown away with how fresh it was. I got the white hot roll, the Fire cracker roll and the crazy tuna roll. All were amazing in taste and freshness!! My personal favorite was the crazy tuna roll!! The tuna was so fresh and sliced just right. When I walked in to pick up the order the staff was so nice and the place was so clean and beautifully done. Looking forward to eating there again. The best part was definitely the service. The waitresses were awesome but Kevin the chef had us laughing so hard that we forgot we were even there to eat. This is a must go to place. Our family dined here last night for the first time, as this place has only been open a couple of months. Friendly staff and very good service! Most had the hibachi meals,with one having Pad Thai. Portions are big, with reasonable prices. The chef put on a little "theatrics" for us--all seemed entertained! I also shared some sushi as an app, and liked it very much. All seemed satisfied with their meals. I think this is a great place to have a group dinner. The menu is big and has something for everyone. I used to go here a lot but after COVID hit they got really bad with their quality. I ordered on 10/6/21 and got a shrimp Hibachi dinner and a steak and chicken hibachi dinner. Now I'm not a food expert but I KNOW for a FACT that you devein a shrimp and wash it after. I found poop in my shrimp, my steak was not medium it was well done, the rice tasted off. The best part of the meal was the clear soup. I don't recommend coming here. Although I paid for the lunch it was 29.85 after tax and not worth it knowing my shrimp was not washed and the steak was not cooked to my boyfriends liking. read more

AMAZING! We used to drive to Mansfield to another hibachi but it's great that we have a really good one here in Raynham. The wait staff were extremely friendly and very helpful especially when our 16 month old little girls diaper leaked all over my wife's shirt. Lol. So we paid our bill just before our food was done and they brought us containers and boxed everything up for us. So we ended up eating the food at home but it was delicious. We are very much looking forward to going back very soon. However this time my wife says she will double check my daughters diaper considering I was the last one to change her. Lmao. read more

Very nice restaurant! Staff was so friendly, went out of their way for us, helped warm my babies bottle. Food was good, we ordered a bunch of sushi and it was all great. Drinks were also very good ( pomegranate margarita) and warm sake. Very similar to another sushi place in Seekonk, but now we don't have to drive that far! Would definitely recommend trying it out. I took a star away for two reasons, 1, a place has to be mind-blowing for me to give it 5 stars and 2, the price was a bit high. read more

Sakana is a new Hibachi/Sushi restaurant on US-44. On the night we went, the place was buzzing and there was good energy. Patrons seemed happy and the staff were extremely busy, but pleasant. Every dish that came out of the kitchen appeared to be artfully prepared and the sushi looked very pretty. The hibachi was cooked tableside and came with a broth soup and salad. We were also served noodles and vegetables with our entrees. The flavor was typical for this area. For some reason our rice was a little crunchy, but the flavor was very good. Seafood and meats looked and tasted fresh. Vegetables were served last and were caramelized (a little over cooked IMHO, but some people like their veggies like that). We had a great time overall and wish the owners and staff the best. We plan to go back in the future. read more

Servers are very attentive, but not intrusive. Fried food always tastes clean; there is NO old oil taste. Best sushi! I love that the Maki (sushi roll) is mainly filling and NOT rice. I'm also very happy they use regular pickled ginger and not the pink food coloring pickled ginger. The seafood is never fishy and is always clean. My favorite maki (sushi roll) so far is the Firecracker Roll, but no cilantro for me. Food always comes out quick, hot and fresh. Presentation is always on point and beautiful. Their menu is large, but not overwhelming. Anyone would have options if they were to go here (meat eater, pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan). While it isn't the cheapest, the quality and service is well worth the price. Its my favorite restaurant and I highly recommend it especially for special occasions. read more

We were trying to figure out dinner and weren't real excited by our options so decided to try the new place (just opened in April I think?) an we're so happy we did! Great staff, service and atmosphere. They did a nice job on the remodel. Lack of non chain restaurants down here was killing us!! We did some sides and sushi but are excited to go back for the hibachi. I got sweet potato and avocado/cucumber rolls (I don't eat fish) and also a pad thai, all super good. Hubby was really happy with his bbq squid, holiday roll and some sort of udon noodle thing. Lots of birthday parties at the hibachi tables and they play bday music over the sound system which I thought it was a fun touch for the celebraters. read more

Not a fan of their hot and sour soup doesn't have enough mushrooms or other ingredients. crab Rangoon's most of them were crispy. Sakana is a welcome addition to the Route 44 area. A far superior option to the dried out all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet just a few doors down the street! The decor is a major overhaul from the previous venue....also a dried out all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. Stylish and chic, yet comfortable and relaxed with dark walls, multicolored lights and bubbling water features on the walls. Staff is friendly and efficient. There are eight spacious hibachi stations on one side of the restaurant. the sushi bar and tables are located on the other side. Hot dishes are available too. Since I was alone I opted for sushi rather than the hibachi dinner. The yellowtail jalapeño appetizer and the out-of-control sushi roll were both excellent! Fresh with a lot of flavor (and the sushi roll had a nice textural crunch component). I then ordered the lemongrass shrimp soup and the flaming scallops. The soup was very flavorful although the shrimp and vegetables were cut on the large side making it somewhat awkward to eat with the spoon provided and the shrimp could have used a bit of seasoning prior to cooking.The scallops were a bit gritty and slightly overcooked.The least successful item that I ordered. The energy coming from the hibachi stations make me look forward to bringing friends and trying that the next time I go. Recommended (minus the flaming scallops). read more

Went here for a family birthday! We thought the food as ok but the presentation from the chefs was fantastic! The reason why I am only giving three stars is because everyone who was having a bday had these awesome ballon hats and everyone who's bday it was, were well over 25 yrs old and they said they ran out of balloons for the two children who were with ya..8 and 6 year olds couldn't get their balloon hats they were dying to get! To put it simply, this place is amazing! We visited with my family (2 & 3 year old) for Hibachi. We had brought them to another one once before and it was a disaster. So we went in optimistic! Before this experience, this was my favorite place to eat. Food, atmosphere, overall service is great. However, tonight Kevin was our chef. I came with my best friend who is a girl. She has shorter hair and Kevin asked if she was a girl or a boy. When she answered she was a girl, he responded "Oh, you look like a boy though. You want to be a boy, right?". Extremely awkward and uncomfortable situation. He then asked if her and I were just friends and asked us inappropriate questions about where we lived, how old we were, if we drank alcohol at home, and if we drove. This place is the real deal. I came in with my buddy and his girlfriend on Saturday night. He came the night before and had a cook named Kevin. He sure knows how to put on a show. The atmosphere there is amazing. We requested Kevin but he was busy so we sat at the bar and had a few drinks.
