The waitress and I'm assuming the manager or owner who started raising their voice and being super accusatory

HIGHLY recommend going to Sake Bomb in Cicero if you want to get hair in your food and then be asked how your dinner was and then be told you are in the wrong, or imply you are lying. The hair was in the rice and I pointed it out to the chef not once, but 2 times and he just kept it moving. I also never recieved my food, at all. Dont worry though they COMPROMISED and offered to take the stuff I never recieved off our check. So thanks for going above and beyond for us! These 2 women in the picture then came over and started raising their voice in the middle of a table and accusing us of lying and saying we "ate all the food and didn't complain until the end" except for the waitress never came back until the end... just like I guess I am in the wrong for not getting up from the table to go find the waitress to hunt down my food?! Ive never felt so gaslit in my life. Truly NOT impressed at all. We will never be back. Meet Shannon our waitress and Im assumingg the owner or supervisor who was a total douche canoe.

The first thing that I noticed when I walked in this restaurant was the smell. It was very strong & unpleasant. Floors were sticky & there were flies flying around us. At this point, I was just ready to leave but everyone I came with was hungry. Our chef & waitress was great but I just didn't feel comfortable eating there. We ordered on the hibachi side. Sadly, I was not impressed with the filet mignon portion. I did place a to go order of filet mignon for my husband & his portion was the right cut (thick & chunky). Not sure what that was all about. I do have to say that my food was seasoned better than my husband's to go order. His filet mignon was very bland. Overall, service was great but this place is definitely not somewhere I would come to again.

Service was attentive, even though it was busy. Parking was easy and location was very convenient. The sushi was good and fresh and your usual variety. Nothing unusual about the rolls but they delivered well. The rock shrimp was very good but unfortunately, inundated with the sauce. Did my best in wiping off most of it. Not the best that I have had, but certainly one of the best in Syracuse.

It was delish per norm! Hubby and I went for lunch hibachi and the price is amazing. The portions are huge. The customer service is great and if you like hibachi like me this is a perfect choice. It's pretty big and accommodates just about any party size. I am incredibly full from lunch and I took a whole plate to go. We shared fried ragoons for an app. Must go-

This is my favorite sushi spot in the area. The fish is always really fresh and you can get get pretty good deals during lunch time. The service is good as well. Today we got the Sushi Lovers Boat for our anniversary. It was more than enough food and super pretty. We always come back!

Good place if you're looking for hibachi and other options! I've come for both just a sit down dinner to get sushi and for hibachi. There are SO MANY options for the different types of rolls they offer and you honestly can't go wrong with any of them. I personally love the crazy salmon and the spicy girl (spicy tuna). I've also gotten their drunken noodles to go which was nice and flavorful, although I would've liked it to be a bit spicier but I like my food spicy.

I have been to this place a few times and have always enjoyed it. Wanted to give habochi a try since I haven't been since covid. This is one of the only places around still doing habochi. The set up is interesting. We were sat with another family, and instead of spacing out, there was plexy glass barrier between us and the other family. We got sushi: the California roll and the spider crab which was good. We both got the combo habochi of chicken and filet mignon which was yummy as always. The meal comes with: salad, soup, veggies, fried rice or noodles, 2 shrimp and your choice of meat. You also get two sauces for dipping: ginger and yumm yumm sauce! (Love this stuff). There is so much food it definitely is enough to take home. Only suggestion would be for the restaurant to do a little more cleaning between guest, I think they should take the time to wipe the chairs down too between guest.

Edit- after posting review, editing because I noticed another review of people that went today and also ordered the filet mignon with similar complaint about the smell and taste of the meat. Doesn't deter us from coming again maybe just for other items (the rolls were great) but I don't think I can order hibachi here. It may have just been a bad day for the restaurant. We went for a new year lunch date and really couldn't decide if we wanted sushi rolls or hibachi so we ordered both! Ordered: 2rolls Angel hair sushi roll, filet mignon hibachi dinner plate and I got chicken hibachi dinner plate Angel hair sushi--love shrimp tempura eel sauce spicy Mayo and sometimes rolls with cream cheese and this has all of that plus strands of imitation crab on top. I was actually impressed how it was thinly sliced out instead of a block in the roll. It added a nice design on top of the roll and actually separated the taste in a pleasing way Hibachi--came with hibachi soup (broth mushroom scallions) and side salad. My bf's hibachi had an extra piece of something we couldn't tell if it was squid but we just took it out and put it on a separate plate. His filet mignon smelled really weird and we both tried it. Can't really tell why but it was really not edible. We were not going to mention anything since we couldn't pinpoint what was wrong. It smelled strong so he separated it onto a small plate and ate the fried rice and veggies. Our waitress came by and asked about the meat and they offered to replace it. I'm not sure if the owner came out to give us the new plate or who exactly she was, we did feel bad about it and she explained it might have been due to the meant not being drained of blood properly. The new filet mignon tasted better however I didn't really trust it. +socially distanced indoor seating +really great sushi +impressive sake list (I'll have to come back for this. Most place don't have sparkling sake and they do!!) +kind service no big wait +great portions (esp hibachi dinner plate) -just the one hiccup however they were so quick to resolve and kind about it so it's not really a negative as much as a hiccup (I probably will never order hibachi here again though) -too full to try more (I usually make room for dessert and I didn't even check to see if they had any which is unlike me!)

The roll in the front is the Angel Hair Roll 10/10. The texture of the tempura was perfectly crisp and the roll was very fresh!

The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. We got there at 2:25 and the said last order while be 2:40, to make sure we wanted to stay. We meant to get there at 2:05 but we had am unplanned bathroom break on our way from Buffalo. The food came out VERY FAST. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe we were the only ones still ordering but even so, very fast. A server writes down the order on a pad, no sheets to fill or tablets. She reminded us we would be charged for uneaten food but the kids assured us they could eat everything. Other than a mistake roll (I think we were given a rainbow instead of an eel) they demolished the food. The only thing that would make it better would be Inari. It's a staple for vegans and vegetarians, but I still came out ahead with my sweet potato tempura hand rolls, avocado hand rolls, seaweed sala, and miso soup. Everyone loved the French fries, which is not the norm for AYCE sushi. Kids also loved the chicken nuggets, shrimp tempura, crab Rangoon, yakisoba noodles, and steak hibachi. Steak looked freshly cooked and not overdone. The kids ordered 5 or 6 different rolls and liked them all. The fish on the nigiri is sliced very thinly and I'm not too surprised as it's AYCE but just keep in mind the ratio leans heavy on the rice. Sashimi is also NOT included in the AYCE price and I believe it's $1 or so per sashimi piece so they do try to fill you up with the sushi rice. I'm not really a roll person, I prefer nigri and raw fish for my sushi cravings. That being said, Akina is very affordable for AYCE The service is good, I don't think the wait is incredibly long. Usually we only wait about 20 mins or so. They do have high chairs and the bathrooms are clean. Parking is fine too, they're in a plaza so there is parking but sometimes it can get pretty full there. I would recommend eating at Akina if you're in the mood for AYCE sushi in Cuse.

The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because in the last year or so I've noticed some popular rolls and dishes like chirashi and California rolls have been prepared ahead of time. They're very cold, right out of the fridge, like sushi from Wegmans. I'm sure they were made that day, and I get they're trying to save some time, especially for the labor-intensive chirashi, but you can't taste it as well when it's cold like that. So I recommend sticking with some of the special rolls. We had a couple of the new ones today after they revamped their menu and they were very good.

I visited on a Thursday and took full advantage of the half-off specials. I arrived about 40 minutes before closing, and as other guests left, I ended up being the only person in the restaurant. Honestly, it made for a great experience. The music was a fun mix of house music and R&B, and I found myself dancing in my seat while enjoying my meal. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. They checked on me when needed but also gave me space to relax and enjoy my food. The cook also came over and talked with me for a while and made some suggestions on what he thought I would like. Amazing ! Because everything was half off, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! I ordered several different items and was completely full by my second plate. Most dishes come as small plates with two to four pieces, making it easy to try a variety of items. One of the coolest parts of the experience was the conveyor belt system. Once your food is prepared, it's sent down the conveyor belt to your seat. Since I was the only customer there, it was easy to know which dishes were mine. I'd be interested to see how it works during busier hours. I honestly can't remember everything I ordered, but I enjoyed almost all of it. My least favorite item was the sweet potato roll--it wasn't bad, just not my personal favorite. Everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth trying. Definitely the only place where I've actually enjoyed the sushi. My 5 stars overall is for our server (a petite woman with curly hair). My daughter has a lot of food allergies so eating out with her is tricky. We found a noodle mixed in her edamame (she has a known anaphylaxis to wheat) and informed our server. At this point, we'd already paid the bill and didn't think anything would change. We simply wanted to inform her what happened. She immediately replaced our daughter's order of plain white rice and edamame, packed it to go, and apologized profusely for it. I was so impressed - I wished all servers handled my daughter's food allergies seriously and graciously like that without making her feel self-conscious. I'd return again for such service alone. On to our food.. I really enjoyed my soft shell crab. It was extra crisp and the crab itself super flavorful. Dismayed that they didn't have takoyaki the day we came. I bet they make it great as well. Husband enjoyed the pork buns. As aforementioned, sushi is the best quality we've had in the area so far. I will say reviews that note the high amount of rice in the nigiri and maki have some merit. Nigiri was two bites per piece for me and I struggled even holding a piece of maki. Size isn't necessarily a complaint. Just thought it was noteworthy. I liked how the tempura in the bamboo roll was actually crispy. Price point seems fair for the area. Only actual complaint is there was an uncomfortable delay between receiving our appetizers and the rest of our food. But nothing major that would keep us from returning.
