Clean interior and lots of hibachi tables. I went with a party of 12 to do hibachi dinners. The chef did not disappoint with the show and the food was pretty good. I ended up ordering appetizers from the kitchen and they all came out in a timely manner, hot, and delicious. The server made sure to keep everyone topped off on drinks as well. HIGHLY recommend going to Sake Bomb in Cicero if you want to get hair in your food and then be asked how your dinner was and then be told you are in the wrong, or imply you are lying. The hair was in the rice and I pointed it out to the chef not once, but 2 times and he just kept it moving. I also never recieved my food, at all. Dont worry though they COMPROMISED and offered to take the stuff I never recieved off our check. So thanks for going above and beyond for us! The first thing that I noticed when I walked in this restaurant was the smell. It was very strong & unpleasant. Floors were sticky & there were flies flying around us. At this point, I was just ready to leave but everyone I came with was hungry. Our chef & waitress was great but I just didn't feel comfortable eating there. We ordered on the hibachi side. Sadly, I was not impressed with the filet mignon portion. I did place a to go order of filet mignon for my husband & his portion was the right cut (thick & chunky). Not sure what that was all about. I do have to say that my food was seasoned better than my husband's to go order. His filet mignon was very bland. Nothing unusual about the rolls but they delivered well. The rock shrimp was very good but unfortunately, inundated with the sauce. Did my best in wiping off most of it. Went here for hibachi for my brothers birthday and we all enjoyed it minus my 4 year old who was hesitant about the flames coming off the cooktop LOL. Anywho, the food was delicious and it's been a hot minute since we've all been to hibachi but we had a great time. My daughter also said she didn't like it cause they threw food at us (to catch in our mouths).. which i found amusing :) Out waitress was great and we look forward to returning for another hibachi experience. read more

Time for another review of Sake Bomb. I am currently in PA and their local sushi restaurant was awful so I need to redeem myself with a good review. We did takeout last Friday. I sent my son to pick it up and it was done early. The garden salad was crisp and no questionable lettuce. The sushi and sashimi combo was right on point. I did the Three Eyed Monster as usual. YUM. My son did his 4 California rolls as usual. Plenty of soy sauce for the amount of sushi we ordered. I will be back in 2 weeks once I am home. I am sure the decor looks the same as 3 weeks prior when we dined in as a family. The restrooms could use a little TLC. read more

There are SO MANY options for the different types of rolls they offer and you honestly can't go wrong with any of them. I personally love the crazy salmon and the spicy girl (spicy tuna). I have been to this place a few times and have always enjoyed it. Wanted to give habochi a try since I haven't been since covid. This is one of the only places around still doing habochi. The set up is interesting. We were sat with another family, and instead of spacing out, there was plexy glass barrier between us and the other family. We got sushi: the California roll and the spider crab which was good. We both got the combo habochi of chicken and filet mignon which was yummy as always. The meal comes with: salad, soup, veggies, fried rice or noodles, 2 shrimp and your choice of meat. You also get two sauces for dipping: ginger and yumm yumm sauce! (Love this stuff). There is so much food it definitely is enough to take home. Only suggestion would be for the restaurant to do a little more cleaning between guest, I think they should take the time to wipe the chairs down too between guest. read more

Hibachi is always fun and Sake Bomb manages to put on a decent show with good food every time we eat here. While the show may not be as "extensive" as other hibachi restaurants the chefs do a good job and always put a smile on your face. The food is always cooked as requested, the cuts of protein are always tender and everything has good flavor. The hibachi room can get pretty loud when full, so be prepared for that. However, it is to be expected with everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. All in all Sake Bomb always makes for a fun and tasty night out. read more

Had dinner with three other people and paid my bill with my debit card I checked no tip and wrote in the amount of the bill on the receipt. A cash tip was left on the table.. When I checked my account the following morning an additional 32 dollars had been added to the bill which equaled to a 25% tip .. Ordered: 2rolls Angel hair sushi roll, filet mignon hibachi dinner plate and I got chicken hibachi dinner plate Angel hair sushi--love shrimp tempura eel sauce spicy Mayo and sometimes rolls with cream cheese and this has all of that plus strands of imitation crab on top. I was actually impressed how it was thinly sliced out instead of a block in the roll. It added a nice design on top of the roll and actually separated the taste in a pleasing way Hibachi--came with hibachi soup (broth mushroom scallions) and side salad. My bf's hibachi had an extra piece of something we couldn't tell if it was squid but we just took it out and put it on a separate plate. His filet mignon smelled really weird and we both tried it. Can't really tell why but it was really not edible. We were not going to mention anything since we couldn't pinpoint what was wrong. It smelled strong so he separated it onto a small plate and ate the fried rice and veggies. Our waitress came by and asked about the meat and they offered to replace it. I'm not sure if the owner came out to give us the new plate or who exactly she was, we did feel bad about it and she explained it might have been due to the meant not being drained of blood properly. Won't return. Pros: lots of food. Cons: Quantity over quality. Overly buttered and salted however this is typical of a hibachi style restaurant. Felt it was unjustly expensive for the experience overall. We went tonight, and our table cook was great, although the server was initially slow, inattentive and spread to thin. She left our empty soup and salad bowls, straw wrappers and used plates in front of us the whole time, so our hibachi bench area was a mess. Food was bland and without any spice. The grill itself had old burned on food surrounding it which wasn't not enjoyble to look at the whole time we sat there. The sushi roll and Crab Rangoon were great. but served without much fanfare. Sauces were placed around the table with no mention of what they were. The soup had next to nothing in it, without much flavor. Bathroom was obviously not cleaned as grime and scum were on floor tiles and walls. Ichiban is still the gold standard in town but they were all booked up tonight. This place was available and I see why. Unfortunately we will not be returning but I hope others enjoy it more so than we did. read more

The last time we went there my wife's fried rice tasted burnt as if the oil used was burnt. We said something to the waitress & she had the owner come over. The owner tasted it and said there's nothing wrong with it and walked away. My wife told the waitress she did not want the dish. In the numerous times my girlfriend and I have attended the snack hour, we have never had any issues. The staff has been attentive and the sushi rolls we get have been perfect every time. The snack hour is half price sushi Monday through Thursday. It's from 8pm-9:30pm and you have to sit at the bar. I normally the more extravagant rolls and they always come out perfect.
