Great food for an affordable price! Love the atmosphere and the service is always great!

Our receipt. My attempt to see if management even looks at their reviews.

When we first moved to the area in 2018, I was impressed. 8 years later, not sure if this place has changed hands, but it has gone down hill since. The place is disgustingly dirty, bathrooms were filthy too. Sure hope their kitchen is not kept the same way. Service sucked, the woman that served us was clearly not in a good mood; but the rolls we got were very good. Ordered a fourth roll, waited and waited, ended up canceling it. The rest of the staff appeared to be hustling; not this woman. Not sure if we will return.

(+) decent pricing for AYCE, variable items on AYCE, kind waitress, plentiful and easy parking, plentiful options and not everyone has to do AYCE (-) food quality/taste, timing of checking in for orders, timing of food delivery considering time limit Located in what seems was an old church. Parking was easy and free. They have their own parking lot. It's both a hibachi and sushi place. You can order hibachi even if sitting in the general seating area. Unfortunately, couple of hiccups. My mom wasn't impressed with the chirashi (presentation, taste, and felt that the sushi was watered down). My brother thought the chicken teriyaki was the worst he's ever had (we had Panda Express the next day and said theirs was way better). My hibachi was alright (ordered medium for steak and got completely well done). The waitress was nice; however the follow up was lacking and the timing of food coming out (especially for the AYCE) was disappointing considering the time limit.

Had a taste for hibachi, so Sake Cafe was the spot of choice. We got there around 1/1:30, so just shy of happy hour, which starts at 2. Either way, they offer all you can eat 11a-9p, which includes apps and sushi. We opted for hibachi, ordering the shrimp and chicken, and were quite satisfied with the portion size and the taste. The service was up to par and they have a pretty casual environment, so it's good for families and groups. I'll have to swing back through and see how the dinner vibe is, but no complaints overall!

Great service. I like the new All You Can Eat menus, however the policy of only allowing All You Can Eat only if the entire table orders if is terrible. I ordered the Lion Fish sashimi.. it was excellent! Tender sweet, succulent meat. Then they also present the deep fried head on skeleton on the plate. Makes a great presentation

We were a big party and they tried to fit us in two hibachi tables. We didn't fit and 2 people at our party ended up leaving. We were a party of all men who were not petit, but they tried to fit us with no elbow room. Plus with our big party, we deserved two hibachi chefs, and two servers. They provided one chef. One show while the other table had no show of their own. One server who could not handle the demands of the party. We started at 7:30pm and the service ended at 10:30pm. They closed at 9pm. For this they lost 2 stars. From 4 down to 2 stars. The new locations is nicer than old location. They do have 2 sections of hibachi, and each section had two grills. In my opinion each grill should seat 8 people (16 total for each section). They tried fit 22 people at section that can only seat 16. 2 of the 22 ended up leaving. 1 person was sitting at a side with no table. He was literally holding his plate with one hand and a fork with his other hand. So if you want to plan a dinner party sitting at the hibachi station, go there and plan it with the owners to make sure your party is going to fit. Do not make arrangement over the phone. Whoever set up our party did not know what they are doing. The lion fish roll was good. The roll was enormous. If u are ever interested in trying lion fish, come here and try it. It is a nice piece of fish. I encourage everyone to acquire the taste for it. It's a nice white flaky fish. You will be doing our environment a favor by eating this invasive species.

This is the only sushi place you should ever go to here in Pensacola. Amazing food. Every time. Worth the price! John always buys local seafood never garbage!! (We recommend the Golden Point and the Yellow Dragon) Seriously, this fish is fresh. The drinks are good. The service is quality. You'll never taste this level of quality at any of the other AYCE place. Atmosphere is beautiful. I always forget to take pictures...these are from our last two visits. Bring your friends, grab a drink, don't eat bad sushi anymore.

This is my food after waiting 30 minutes.

Server was absolutely horrible. Older woman with bandana is super passive aggressive. I raised my hand and looked in her direction to get her attention and asked nicely if we could order. She got upset with us asking. Proceeded to skip our table and be rude. Took 45 minutes to get our food. Set the food down on our table and walked away saying "you're welcome " because i didn't say thank you. Stopped refilling our drinks because she was mad at us for no reason. Kept trying to look at my phone when walking behind me and making rude glares at me behind my back. She doesn't belong in this job.

Best Quality Sushi Grade Fish in Pensacola. Only ever had their Sushi so cant speak on the hibachi. If you're not a big sushi person, the below picture may not mean much to you, but this is incredible quality for all you can eat. Typically all you can get mostly imitation crab and low quality rolls to save on cost . Great atmosphere in a redesigned church they have great lunch deals and happy hour. Love that they added all you can eat recently but didn't go down in quality with the increased volume like Waco across the street and Sushi Masa

I really enjoy this place. The lunch hour all you can eat is more than fair. There is plenty of space for seating and parking. The service was great.

I am not sure why the place has such low rating. I was welcomed with a warm smile and the staff was friendly the entire time. I like the atmosphere the building has with the high ceiling. I was worried it makes the place loud but it still feels very zen-ish. The sushi I had was super delicious and tasted fresh.

I come from Alabama to get Sake Cafe because their sushi is some of my favorite around. The happy hour from 2-5 daily (and the lunch specials 11-3) are some of the best around. They also have all you can eat sushi, but I love my leftovers. The menu is huge, but the servers give enough time to peruse and make your choices. I also love the feel of the restaurant, huge vaulted windows that allow for natural light. The last time I went was a few days after my birthday and I was so happy with everything I got. The happy hour sushi combo was awesome, I love their cucumber salad (kind of a spicy kimchi sauce) and their spicy salmon and tuna really has good spice levels. I love that you can add on nigiri pieces for 2.50 a piece. Such a good deal, and all the nigiri I had was very good quality. We will be back many times over. Also they have a GREAT selection of cold sake! Love this place.

What really sets Joe Patties apart is the quality. Nothing compares to the freshness of their fish and seafood. If you feel like you're paying a little more, just know that when you cook it properly at home, the quality more than justifies the price. One tip: if you're getting steamed shrimp, skip the pre-steamed option. Go to the counter, pick out the shrimp you want, and have them steam it fresh for you. Definitely grab one of their tubs of garlic butter and herbs and have them add half or the full amount depending on how much you're getting. I got the Argentine shrimp, about a pound and a half, and had them use half the butter. No one in my group expected it to be as good as it was. I set the plate down and it was gone in less than five minutes. I was lucky to even get three pieces for myself. We also purchased a whole grouper and had them fillet it for us. We seasoned it with their Everglades rub, and I have to admit it was probably the best grouper I've ever had in my life. The freshness makes all the difference. We grill often and have made grouper before, but it's usually been frozen, and it never comes out anywhere near this good.

THE OMAKASE EXPERIENCE…read more Once a month, Ichiban offers an Omakase experience for $100 per person. To make reservations they require $40 down payment then $60 at the event. This is limited to 6 people per event. So book well in advance. This sells out quick. This experience we had 12 courses total. $100 + $20 for tip, that is about $10 per course. You will get your money's worth. It is not recommended for picky people or people who always have special request. The chef will serve you whatever he decides serve. Each OMAKASE experience is never the same; therefore, your experience is special each time. Most of the items served are not available on their regular menu. But let me tell, everything was delicious. The fried salt and pepper flounder does require some careful attention because there were fishbones, but that was part of the experience. It was designed to slow you down, while he prepares the next course. The battered fried rice cake top with assortment of fresh fish, spicy mayo and eel sauce top with sprouts and bonito flakes was delicious! I advised the chef that they should add that to the menu. Chef Lin, also served BBQ short ribs which was his grandmother's recipe was melt in your mouth divine. The Toro nigiri brush with his special soy sauce melted in my mouth. There was no need to add soy sauce or wasabi and you shouldn't. It was delicious. Same applied to the snapper nigiri. The seafood soup with miso was a definition of umami flavor. It had shrimp, lobster, some other seafood, and the broth was flavorful. The shrimp with spicy mayo sauce was savory and creamy. Today was June 15, 2026 and their next seating is next month which is already sold out. I booked this experience in the beginning of May. I would suggest to go ahead and call Jonathan and reserve your seat in August. However, here is a secret, they may make an exception and you can reserve this experience depends on Chef Lin's availability. But for those special reservations, I was told it will cost $150 per person. Still, it is only limited to 6 people (no less no more) per special reservations. I rarely give 5 stars, and this experience deserves it. I predict, by word of mouth, this will be hardest reservations to get in Pensacola since it is limited.
