At $20.95 this seems like a great deal. There certainly aren't endless options to the sushi, no spider roll or cowboy roll at lunch time. Also, no beef teriyaki or tonkatsu. But I don't think complaining is valid based on the price. The place is decorated with Japanese style artwork on the walls. It's pretty clean for as busy as it is. And the hosts are good about greeting patrons upon entry. The server was okay. Drinks went dry a few times and ordering additional food was delayed here and there, but they were pleasant and when present they got the job done. My only comment about questionable process is this... like many other establishments, parties of six or more are charged an automatic 18% gratuity. This isn't the issue, the tip was on the bill, the server didn't mention anything. Ok fine, the notice is on the menu. Bet when the credit card slip came for signature, a tip was requested on the slip, with recommended amounts provided. No mention was made that the tip was included on the bill. A lot of folks might unknowingly "DOUBLE TIP." I think it's good practice to mention that patrons can augment the tip if they wish, but remind them that the tip was included. Overall, the experience was pretty good. I imagine we'll be back at some point.

It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent.
