Hachi is like a cleaner, Japanese version of Waffle House, and I mean that in the best way. The service was stellar enough to earn 5 stars by itself (thanks, Timothy!). The food for the 6 of us was quick, hot, and cooked just right. It certainly wasn't Benihana, but it was a step up from most food court Japanese (and pretty comparable in price). The fried rice was pretty blah (it needs some egg at least!) and I wished there had been more zucchini, but the egg rolls, gyoza, and steak were all great, and the chicken and shrimp were very good. read more

They have a good lunch menu with many tasting items for $6.95. My favorites are the shrimp and hachi special (spicy marinated beef). Mmmmmm. Fresh juicy shrimp stir-fried to perfection. The hachi dish has succulent chunks of beef. Entrees come with either steamed or fried rice. Salad is served before the entrees come out. Salad is fresh and the ginger dressing is pretty damn good. The pork potstickers are mouth watering. I can't wait to go back to Hachi to have another tasty meal that I know won't disappoint like most of these restaurants in Navarre. We came to Hachi as a last minute plan for our daughter's 16th birthday dinner with friends and family. I had a long busy day at work and knew I didn't have time to cook for everyone. We totaled 17 people with a mixture of children and adults. They happily took us in and we almost filled there dining area. Only one two top table was left. They accommodate our friend's peanut allergy by making sure nothing was cooked together that would have cross contaminate. Our food was hot, fresh, and it is always more than I can eat. Their food is always consistent because only Mrs. Wendy cooks it. The dumplings are homemade not that frozen junk. 2 dozen of them disappeared from the table before we even knew what happened because the kids and us all LOVE them. We also loved our fresh made spring rolls. Everyone placed their orders on different checks, which can be a pain but they handled it courteously. Food was delivered with a quickness and everything was just as ordered. The yakisoba is my go to dish there along with their ugly shrimp special but I didn't order it this trip. Even when more guest came in and filled up the last two seats they was always attentive to our group and the other guest. I asked if it was okay for the cake that had arrived from Biloxi, MS to be allowed in and they accepted. We even shared with the other guests. We are greatly appreciative of all they did that night to make MaKayla's 16th birthday dinner special. We are locals and eat there regularly, our family loves this place. It's quick, it's affordable, and it stays consistent with the quality and flavors. We go at least every other month. Thank you Hachi for another successful and happy experience! This is a good place to stop in Navarre. I drive by it everyday and have always wanted to stop. Glad I did today. Their veggie dish was great. It was a mix of sauteed cabbage, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and bean sprouts. The sauce they put on it was good. I had mine with fried rice, which was delicious. Very light, not greasy at all, and I enjoyed the pepper in it. My daughter, three years old and a total foodie, loved the chicken rice bowl. She had steamed rice instead of fried rice and it was perfect for eating with her fingers :) I also ordered spring rolls, which were fantastic. The gyoza were also good. They are a mix of pork and cabbage. They don't even need the sauce that comes with them. The salad with ginger dressing that comes with the meals was interesting. It was a bit more citrusy than I'm used to in ginger dressing, but it was very good and refreshing. I wish the salad came with more cucumbers, but that's something I could ask for next time I suppose. The employees were also very nice! Hachi is always delicious and fresh. I eat here pretty often as I work In the area. The restaurant isn't huge. It does have inside seating and a small table outside. The menu is not very large like many bigger restaurants but there is some variety. There's also usually 3 different specials listed on the board inside each week. Let me tell you, those specials are a real treat. I remember the first one I tried was after thanksgiving, plum chicken I believe it was called. My goodness, it was incredible! The chicken with peanut sauce was also quite tasty and right now I'm writing this as I eat their eggplant with garlic sauce. Lots of veggies, everything cooked just the way I like it! Wendy will go out of her way to make you tasty food so if there are veggies or something you don't like, speak up. I don't like mushrooms so now they already know, no mushrooms for Kat. Also let's be real, in the south we know a good sweet tea... this place has a delicious sweet tea that actually tastes like tea and not just sugar water. read more

Last I knew there was even free Wi-Fi. In lieu of the salad, they will substitute for additional vegetables. Located on the south side of Hwy.98 across from the post office. The food was okay. Nothing special at all. Seemed like the restaurant took every way to cheap out possible. Got several chicken combo entrees, very skimpy with the meat (like seven little chunks) and hardly any sauce. Cabbage for veggie? Cheapest veggie out there, but it was decent. Salad was just plain iceberg lettuce. Hachi sauce (aka shrimp sauce) was a little spicy, which I thought was a little unusual. Came with plain white rice, not fried.
