Sorry, can't remember the name of this roll... it's good!
    Suzanne S.

Stored by while exploring downtown Auburn- my hometown! Saw this new sushi restaurant so my hubby and I waited until it opened for dinner- well, Auburn Endurance Race was going on that day on the weekend so it was fun to eat and also see the runners come into the finish line which was right at the base turning corner of the block! The sushi portions are generous and tasty. We ordered the rainbow roll and BBQ albacore tuna- staples that most sushi restaurant has on the menu. Both were Very good- just that the BBQ tuna came totally different that what I'm used to. Didn't taste or see any grilling or flavor but seemed like sashimi laid flat on a plate with some kind of sauce over the top- still overall was tasty; maybe wouldn't order that again though. OMG for the Korean fried chicken wings- delish and so crunchy! Get quite a bit of pieces too then darn it- I dropped one on the floor and gasped! Lol. The deep fried tofu was crispy but was sliced thin and then fried, it was okay, had better. The restaurant's building had been redone with other restaurants before this one- decor ambiance is cozy with a bar atmosphere and some booths and a few outdoor tables but lacks the Asian flare. Still a nice decent place to get your fix of sushi.

Run don't walk to this sushi place. In the 5 years we've lived here, hands down this is the most legit. Modern ambiance, good music, clean bathrooms and THE FOOD. BEST Korean wings - not heavily sauced & crisped to perfection. Auburn, Sacramento & cherry blossom rolls fresh & Delicious. Healthy ginger portions too. FANTASTIC We'll be back for sure

    Very fresh fish!

The sushi is very fresh and delicious! The menu has a great selection for all. I personally love the vegetarian choices. The service is attentive, helpful, and efficient. Whether you want to sit inside or outside, there is plenty of comfortable seating.

Huge round of applause to Kyle service was fantastic on a super slammed night! They opened in October and finally got the chance to check them out. On a busy night be prepared to wait. Food and service were worth it and we will definitely be back. Seating inside is very large and open. There is parking behind the building or on the street.

David was and awesome server he got an answer to all my questions. Place was clean, like the recessed booths. Lighting and music was good. Friday night 7pm wasn't a wait list, but had lot of customers. Agedashi tofu was 10 perfectly crisp and I liked the sauce was little sweeter. vegetarian 1: give a 9, adding the special sauce was good. chicken roll: give a 4, didn't care for the cold chicken. was better with side a teriyaki sauce. Mango Madness give 6, couldn't really taste the mango. Scallop Nigiri: gave a 7 was meaty, buttery and tender. Menu was very diverse. Looking at going back to trying the Kali short ribs and sitting on the patio in the nicer weather. Definitely will be back.

Baked green muscles and Summer roll. Loved it!

Cute new place in town! Spacious and remodelled. Good location, right in the heart of Auburn. Ordered Summer roll and baked green muscles. Loved them both! Will be coming back for sure

The Crispy California roll was everything you could imagine and more. It was one of the best well balanced rolls I've ever had. The service was quick, fast, and the servers were very sweet and personable. I went on a Sunday afternoon - the vibe was chill and relaxing. I highly recommend supporting Sake Sushi

October 16, 2025. Maybe three days late, but my usual Letter Of Compliment

November 21, 2025 OWNER SAKE SUSHI 907 LINCOLN AUBURN CALIFORNIA 95603 Dear Sir or Miss Yay, yours is a new restaurant opened October 4, 2025. Now update of any comments one thousand three hundred eighty four. I see my last for this has twenty seven total USEFUL, FUNNY, COOL votes! I had the chance to dine at your restaurant. It is by the Auburn Clock Tower! I enjoyed the child order of chicken teriyaki. Had the chicken, four pieces the dry seaweed, rice, fries! Cost of $9.65 with tax, good price. For me any child menu should be ten dollars plus tax or less, so the nine dollars and sixty five cents with tax was good price for me! Hoping when I left eleven dollars and sixty five cents on the table plus Letter Of Compliment, that it was enough tip! I will highly recommend your restaurant to friends! Thank to Hannah, thank to Kyle, thank to Chef Baya, for their friendly great help!

Garden Beauty roll does NOT disappoint...!! It is even more delicious than it's beauty

Every roll has been so good here. Today we tried the Garden Beauty which does not have rice. It quickly became my new favorite!!

Happy Mother's Day!!…read more Today for Mother's Day, we decided to celebrate with my neighbor and have the best sushi in town here at Jinme. Jinme is consistent. Delicious every single time... so tonight, we celebrated with my daughter. We sat right away and how gorgeous was it tonight!? Balloons, streamers, and Mother's Day table cloths. After a little bit, our server came over and we ordered sunomono and vegetable tempura. Their vegetable tempura was a mixture of the vegetables, in one. Like a birds nest. It came with 4 pieces and a dipping sauce. It was different, but very good. The sunomono (cucumber salad) was cut in half into thin slices without the seeds, and the dressing on it was delicate and went so good with the cucumbers. Quite a bit of time had passed and we were given some complimentary spring rolls to snack on. The sauce it came with was a little spicy & sweet. We ordered a Simba roll, Auburn City roll, 49ers Roll, the Ultimate Roll, and salmon sashimi. All looked fantastic! The sashimi came with miso (as an appetizer). We will ended up sharing everything with each other. I really like that baked salmon roll (Simba). It has a sweet mayo on top. The Salmon Sashimi is my favorite bc the salmon on top is made with high quality salmon belly. The freshness makes me crave this often. The 49ers roll was delicious. It was different from your regular sushi rolls with rice in the outside. it had an entire cucumber casing on the outside of it. The Auburn Roll has thick pieces of red rings and salmon throughout... what a dream... Lastly, we ordered moochi ice cream and deep fried strawberry ice cream... both were out of this world!! This was the first time I have ordered dessert here and it was phenomenal! Strawberry just gets me! Our service was great! The decorations were a cute touch, too. Jinme went above and beyond to make us feel special on Mother's Day!

But stuff isn't viral online for no reason.. the Dutch apple pie was incredible. Perfect even. Not too sweet apples perfectly tart. And when I went by at 12 or so today the pie was hot out of the oven. Incredible. And delicious. I also got a Peruvian marinated whole chicken, marinated hangar steak and lemon pepper marinated chicken thighs. Meats are vacuumed packed and are easy dinner options. We were in the area of Auburn coming back from a Father's Day weekend trip, and I was looking for a few easy meals to have in the fridge for the rest of the week. It was busy! But plenty of staff on hand to help move everything along. I suggest having one person wait in the car and sending one person in to stealthy acquire the goods. Also they offered me a bag of ice to keep my meats fresh for the ride. Fabulous touch. Don't be scared of the crowds and new found popularity. Go in and grab a pie and more! Loved coming here and can't wait to be in the area again to try out other things.

I love pie & was on a mission to try theirs. We stopped by on the Friday afternoon after they got recognized. The parking lot was packed. There is a lot of covered outdoor seating, but it was also pretty filled up. The market was busy & bustling with customers & staff going to & fro. A hamburger restaurant adjoins the market with some indoor seating. You can enter & exit either door to get to both areas. The doors directly to the market only had one you could open because the other door was obscured with a display & it caused such a traffic jam to get in & out. The supply of pies/cobblers & variety was plentiful. They have fruit pies as well as cream pies in whole, sliced, fresh, & frozen form. NOTE--you can find whole pies (fresh or frozen) in the market, & packaged individual slices in the restaurant. The market also has lots of produce, dips & sauces, dressings, pickled items, wine, other baked goods, honey, snacks, store branded merchandise, & lots more! Samples of products were out & available to try, like fruit, dips, & granola. The circumstances of the award created an understandable commotion that took a little charm away from the shopping experience. The market has so many neat items to browse, but it has narrow aisles & it was hard to look around comfortably & not feel in the way because of the flurry of activity. I even heard audible disdain from another customer (my sense is a local or regular) about everyone being there because of the award. Customer service was fine. Staffers seemed busy & didn't welcome or proactively acknowledge customers. We were able to find someone who was helpful with a question we had. Checkout was straightforward with staff trying to keep the line moving. Back to the pie mission! Peach Pie--delightful fresh peach taste, the least sweet of the 3 Razzleberry Pie--really delicious berry packed flavor payoff Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler--this is my favorite kind of fruit pie & their very tasty execution stood out because the rhubarb was really present in big tart chunks, (also the fruit & veg combo practically makes this a health food, right??) My verdict-- My ideal pie is a combo of yummy filling & a great flaky, buttery crust. While the fillings were bursting with amazing fruitiness, the crust brought nothing to the table & was just bland & meh. I prefer the cobbler version because the dough brought some sweetness & flavor. We also got a loaf of coffee cake. It tasted fine, but felt like it was basically a simply flavored cake with some streusel topping that had bits of walnut & barely any detectable cinnamon. I would go back again down the road on an obscure weekday to try to experience a less busy time to shop more items. The pie fillings I tried were spectacular, & despite the mediocre crust, I would happily have more.
