He did his job and was very confident. When I asked him if the problem recurred he said "Problem will not happen again". And he was right. We have used this service once before for our refrigerator filter and Alex was our technician. One of our ovens in our double oven went kaput at the most inopportune time...a week before Thanksgiving! So my grandiose plans of hosting Friendsgiving was a no-go. Maytag refrigerator, purchased 9/2018, started leaking water onto the top shelf of the Refrigerator. Called Sakura, they picked up after 2 rings and scheduled an appt. Window of arrival was 3-5pm and Alex showed up at 3pm and diagnosed and repaired the problem. Drainage hole diameter was so small, it got clogged, thus the water overflow. He kindly allowed us to clean under the refrigerator after he moved it and wiped up after his work as well. Takeyuki, to your response, I had another technician in today to level the dishwasher. I observed him remove the bracing and use a wrench to adjust both sides of the leveling pads. He used a level to make sure that the front and sides of the unit was as it should be. The door now closes as it did before. This technician was polite, courteous and professional and provided good customer service. A customer expects to have a repair that restores the appliance to its original way they were put in. I paid over $500 to your company for the repair, so i do not believe I'm taking advantage your business. As you see, I was a returning customer who was satisfied with a washing machine repair a few years ago, with another technician of yours. Sakura Appliance Repair repaired my dryer and restored peace to my household. 5-star service, in my book. My Kenmore Elite dryer, purchased from Sears in 2019 with extended warranty was not heating. On Sunday, I booked the earliest available appointment with Sears and when no one showed up for the scheduled Wednesday appointment, I had to consider options. I spent three hours over two days on the phone with Sears attempting to reschedule. I was told, on Friday, that I could expect a callback in "3-5 business days". I was already without a dryer for five days and laundry in a 5-person household was continuing to pile up. Was a visit to the local laundromat in my future? NO! I called Sakura Appliance Repair as I was leaving the office at 3:00 PM on Friday. A technician would be dispatched and would be at my address in just 20 minutes (Your mileage may vary). Stephen has a 5 year old Samsung side by side refrigerator, and the spring which keeps the ice shoot close snapped off. I located Sakura on yelp (duh, as you are reading this) and saw the great reviews, even one yelper with a Samsung fridge. Stephen called them on Monday, had the appointment for 10 am on Tuesday. The person assessed the situation and said $166 but he'll have to order the part. If another part inside is broken it'll be $30 more. What a relief!! We thought it was going to cost an arm and a leg, but it was quite reasonable. During the write up, we mentioned we found them on yelp (but didn't take advantage of the coupon offer) and Alex (the technician) applied the $30 off anyway. What a nice guy. Abruptly he told me they do not service that area. Interesting, this call came from a number associated with the Lakewood location. The Kenmore built in oven that was already installed in our home when we purchased it looked it was time to move on to the great appliance spirit world in the sky. Was it hopeless or was there an Obi Wan that could use the force to buy us a little more time? The only decent repair people in my part of town will only service items they have sold so they were out. Fortunately, I learned about Sakura. Since the oven is pretty old, they couldn't guarantee parts would be available or that it could be resurrected from the dead but it was going to cost $80 to find out for sure. These guys were up front about this so I rolled the dice to see what's what. They were really good about setting up an appointment and showed up right on time (DirecTV & the phone company could learn a thing or two). Alex was the tech they sent and he explained everything clearly. After taking the bottom plate off, he did in fact have a replacement part and let the oven warm up 10 minutes and then checked to see the oven was heating to the proper temperature. It was ALIVE...ALIVE I SAY!!! The cost was a bit expensive but a whole lot cheaper than buying a new built in. Obviously the oven will join that spirit in the sky sooner or later due to old age but Sakura did a great job buying us time until we do a remodel. Every case is different and some people complain about the $80 fee but they make it clear that's the deal before you have them come out. They waive the fee if they do the repair. Someone else might have back stock of old parts and be able to help you out cheaper but it's not like these guys are lying to you. They can only tell you what they can do. On August 25, 2016 I called Sakura Appliance Repair. A service man by the name of Alex was sent out. I had pulled out my refrigerator to clean up water that was leaking from the bottom freezer. Alex found a piece of onion skin that was clogging the line. He cleaned the line. I was happy with Alex, he was very nice. I called Sakura again on April 12, 2021. Alex came on the service call. He seemed to be in a hurry. I hadn't pulled the refrigerator out this time. He argued with me about turning the leveler's. I told him I did not want him to do that. My son had it leveled perfect because of the floor. He turned them anyway. He tried to pull it out to fast, it was hitting the panel. I told him to let me do it. It only has a 1/2 inch clearance on each side. I also put pam on the floor so it doesn't scratch the floor. He argued with about him pulling the refrigerator out. After he finished working on the refrigerator for a clogged line again. He wanted to put the refrigerator back I said I would do it. I did. He turned the levels said it was level. I paid him and he left. I called the office Alex answered the phone. I told him doors on my refrigerator didn't close right. He call back. Again argued with me. Opened one of the doors and slammed it. I told him to get out of my house. A day later I get my check back. I tried to call the office twice leaving a message. The owner called me he was very rude. He told me he didn't care about my refrigerator and he hung up. My refrigerator is a pantry door with freezer on the bottom. The doors don't close like they did and the bottom freezer door sticks out passed the upper doors a 1/4 inch. My son is a contractor. With an impeccable reputation. I told him about it and how the owner acted. He told me to right a review. His guys would never disrespect a customer. My son would never treated a customer like I was treated. I was having trouble with my fridge, with items freezing in the bottom drawers. I called Sakura and the call was answered immediately. I was able to schedule very easily. Alex showed up on time, was respectful and helpful. Turns out there was not a real issue with the fridge, I had just over packed my freezer, so it was working overtime and it was causing the bottom of the fridge to get too cold. I previously had good experience with them for the repair of my dryer. However, I was very disappointed this time. I called because the washer was making a loud noise and violent movements when it is in spin mode. I believe the repair person was Alex. He just looks at it and he did not even touch it nor run the cycle, and he pointed out 2 POSSIBILITIES. Apparently, he did not know what the cause of the problem was. He suggested he can replace some parts for $250 and see if that fixes it, but no guarantee nor money back. I declined the repair but he still charged $60 for a real short diagnosis. I called another company, they came out, did a few tests, and replaced the broken part. I asked if they were sure of their diagnosis and they said absolutely. It also came with a 6 month warranty!
