Poor communication. Told us they ordered a part for our fridge that was on back order for 10-20 days but would inform us if part came back sooner. It's been over a month so called back to check status of the part. Now they are trying to gaslight us and say they never received authorization to order the part so they never did, even though they clearly left a voicemail saying that they had already ordered the part. Good thing iPhone transcribes all voicemails. Unless you want to wait and wait for good, honest service. I'd highly recommend you go elsewhere. read more

Tony and Andrew are great techs that are very knowledgeable and professional. Silvia, Illiana and Michelle at the office are all very helpful (yes, i know everyone by name at this point because we call them for everything) I initially thought they were mainly an appliance repair company but they also sell appliances and are very competitive. Had a service call with The Haus via a warranty plan through Allstate from a fridge I bought through Home Depot. Icemaker wasn't working properly. Allstate was efficient and timely and easy to deal with and they sent out The Haus Appliances and Tony came out. Great tech. Informative, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful with suggestions. We have a new ice maker now and waiting for a batch! They were contracted by bestbuy to fix my refrigerator. Its been 3 weeks and they still can't fix it. They ordered a bunch of parts and swapped out the inverter board when tye original diagnostic was the compressor. They just refilled it with refrigerant and then said to wait 16 hours...we'll its been days and going on weeks. The tech came 12/06 took pictures and said it wasn't the compressor that there is a leak in the system. Today I find out they ordered the compressor and a control board and who knows what other parts.. as of now i find myself being a middle person between Haus appliances and geek squad...and there seems to be little effort to find a solution to my repair...I definitely would not recommend this company...the tech clearly undermined my father's intelligence telling him twice on different occasions that the refrigerator worked when it clearly didn't. read more

Haus was called to look at my downdraft Miele fan unit by Fidelity National Home Warranty, who is my home warranty provider. Ahead of time, i wrote to Haus to say they needed to be familiar w/ the unit because they aren't common and mine was a number of years old. The tech came, and days later, submitted a report (according to Fidelity) that says the unit 'may' be under warranty. The unit is 13 years old - had Haus bothered to do 30 seconds of research - which I ultimately did - they would have discovered that this model has been out of production for 8-9 years, and that it is impossible that it could be under warranty. Because they provided erroneous info to the warranty co (which of course the warranty co hid behind), I'm now in a dispute w/ the warranty co. This vendor is obviously not competent, provides info that is not researched and can cause a huge problem (in this instance, if i didn't fight the outcome, I'd be out a very large sum for repair/replacement costs), and it feels to me (this is my opinion, not fact), that they are tying their report to what the warranty company would like to see happen, vs. taking a beat and figuring it out. Very disappointing. Recommend you do not use this company. Re Haus' response: If the company actually thought the unit was or might reasonably have been under warranty - at 13 years old and clearly with wear - that would mean nearly every appliance this vendor services for Fidelity would come with a report that says to Fidelity: "Better check to see if the factory warranty is still in place". It's nonsensical. I've witness scores, if not hundreds, of my real estate clients' warranty claims over the years: Warranty companies do not, as a matter of course, hear from vendors to 'check if the original factory warranty is in place.' My supposition, and it's only that, is that due to the possible cost involved, that Fidelity and its vendors have an arrangement for this kind of ridiculous, hail mary approach to see if the customer (me) gets worn out and gives up. Otherwise, this vendor is just prognosticating, without basis, that a unit would still be under warranty, without looking at wear, without looking at if the unit is even availble, and with no basic understanding of how short factory warranties for appliances in fact are. Whatever the case, it is my opinion, they were not competent, and it's costing me time to fight with the warranty co over something that never should have realistically been raised. This time my Kenmore range needed repair. Technician diagnose the problem put the new part in and it is working good as new. Had a scheduled appointment window between 2-5pm. At 450pm I had to call to see if a technician was still on his way. They said a technician would arrive within 30 mins as they were running behind. My experience with Haus was awful. The first dryer repair guy was just there to fix the buzzer (the dryer was NOT broken, only the buzzer was) and he instead broke the dryer so it could no longer dry (the dryer broke immediately after he came). The second guy who showed up to diagnose the issue blamed us for rotating the dial the wrong way and I told him we know to only rotate it clockwise, it's the first dryer repair guy who obviously didn't know that and broke our dryer. The third dryer repair guy who came out other fix the issue again blamed us and said we rotated the dial the wrong away, and yet again, I said it was not us, it was the first dryer repair guy from your company. Anyway, this review would not have been left if they had simply accepted responsibility for breaking our dryer. We also lost hundreds of dollars having to do laundry at a laundromat meanwhile. The laundromat requires we use their washers in order to use their dryers for hygienic reasons (which makes sense), so we were essentially deprived of our washer during the weeks that went by. We had medical issues that require daily laundry so this was awful. We did NOT ask for a new dryer within 3 days of the dryer breaking. It was around 2 weeks after that, that we requested that, because we had spent the amount of money to buy a new dryer, at the laundromat! read more

Tony came out to do an initial evaluation on a commercial ice machine at the school I work for, and was very thorough. He worked with staff onsite to determine what kind of equipment was on the roof, etc. and was extremely knowledgable. Ultimately, The Haus Appliances was not the correct company to fix the machine, but Tony went out of his way to find out the requirements of the machine, identify relevant building code information etc. and sent me on my way with a great recommendation. My LG fridge door broke and I called a number of local appliance repair shops and none of them covered LG. The Haus were the only ones who were happy to repair LG, and they turned up same day! Wow, that doesn't happen very often, especially with a business with so many great Yelp reviews. They charge a $75 call out fee which is deducted from the final bill, which I was OK with. I was told the time the tech would turn up and his name so I knew who to expect, and he turned up a little early which was even better. Andrew was quiet and got on with the job straight away, went to his car to get parts and was finished within 20 minutes. I paid by cheque and it was a lot less than I expected and the $75 was deducted as promised. I will definitely be calling The Haus for any further appliance repairs I need and I recommend you do too. read more

I highly recommend Haus Appliances for your repair needs! I have an Italian brand oven and had been having issues turning it on. I first called another appliance repair company, and not only did they charge me $125 for diagnostic fees, they gave me an estimate of $1000 to repair the igniter, thermocouple, and even the spark plugs for the gas range (they said it was all connected). I just didn't feel that was right since I wasn't having any issues with the stove part, and decided to call for a second opinion. The lady that took my call was helpful and she set up the 3 hour window for the appointment. They sent me a reminder text the day before and again when the repairman was on his way. Tony was the gentleman that came, and he showed me what the problem was and how I had been using the oven incorrectly. He explained to us how the particular brand appliance works and why I was having issues. He was patient, informative, and best of all, did not try to sell me a repair I didn't need! Purchased a home and lived here 3 months no signs of any pests and my dishwasher worked fine. Warranty wasn't granted due to their technician stating the appliance shorted due to a pest problem. Do yourselves a favor and go with another outfit. This place is a joke. If they can't properly diagnose a situation, I wonder what other damage they can do to your appliances. The factory repair warranty service for Frigidaire came out and was totally incompetent in adjusting some items on my new Frigidaire French door refrigerator. Because of this, the factory sent out someone from Haus Appliances. The technician property adjust the doors and replaced the flipper mullion in a separate visit. However, when I asked him about some discolored plastic near the top of one of the doors, he brushed me off (just the way it is). Also, when I asked about the lack of a tight seal on both crisper drawers, he stated that there should be air flow through there. I checked with the Frigidaire website, and these crisper drawers should be sealed so as to keep out dry air. I was told by the factory representative that they checked with Haus Appliances and they told them that the drawers were sealing fine. So one story to me and another story to the factory (neither of which is true. Very unprofessional and now preventing me from getting these items property repaired. Likely have to take legal action against Frigidaire for not honoring the warranty. read more

Finally made a service call for my non-draining dishwasher which wasn't in use for 8 months, just because we had a bad experience with the other guy I didn't want to deal with it for a while (see my review from 8 months ago if interested). I called the Haus Appliances and they scheduled a diagnostic visit on the day I requested. Pricing and process was clearly explained over the phone. Two service professinnals from The Haus arrived on time with a heads-up text message they were arriving soon (I always appreciate that!). They went straight to diagnosing the issue by looking through all the tubes and filters. Then they took the lower panel out and found that the DW pump was broken (this is something the other guy never did). So they told me they'd get back to me with the estimate for parts and labor so I can choose to have them get it repaired. They vacuumed the sitting water out of the dishwasher and left. I received a call for the estimate and an email with price breakdown later in the day of their diagnostic visit and agreed to have them replace the pump. Three days later they came in to fix the DW and it is back running. The HAUS Appliances service was timey, reliable and professional, and I am glad I found them after having a bad experience with someone who couldn't even figure out what the problem with my DW was (and pretended he fixed the issue and charged us hundreds). Their labor portion on the estimate was a little bit pricey so I'd deduct a half star but it still bumped up to 5 stars. I'd call them again for any of my appliance issue in the future. read more
