The first thing I have to say is, you need to get the Sakura Pizza! This made the review go from 4 to 5 stars! It's a scallion pancake with salmon, tuna, kani salad, and seaweed salad all drizzled with eel sauce. When I tell you that it's soooo good, trust me! I want to go back just for that! We both got hibachi dinner - chicken and steak combo and surf and turf (lobster and filet mignon). You first get started with a salad, a typical ginger sauce. This was even more basic than what you usually see because it was just iceberg lettuce and the dressing. The soup was also pretty subpar because the mushroom weren't cooked just raw mushroom tossed into the soup. These are just an add on, so I don't really care about it. The hibachi entree is what we need to focus on. The filet mignon was so tender and melted in your mouth. I was really surprised by the quality of the meat, even the sirloin steak was tender (obviously not as much as the filet). The lobster was nice and buttery, and the veggies were nicely cooked. I loved the flavor of the fried rice too! The chef was very entertaining, definitely made adult jokes (penis shaped fried rice, slapping meat, etc.) But our table was all adults so not sure if this applies to all shows. The drinks are very very strong. The scorpion bowl is for one and it was still huge. Others at the table go the fish bowl for 2 and they loved it. It came with an entire bottle of Corona. When ordering take out, make sure to unpack your order at their desk and verify they have give you everything your ordered. Too consistently have I ordered A meal that comes with a side, or purchased additional sides, and found them missing. Initially we had called ahead knowing that there was no availability at another local hibachi place and decided to just walk in with our big party. The owner was kind enough to squeeze us in even though they were busy and had no open reservations. Yup. This is it. This is the spot right here. This is the place you go to if you want decent hibachi in Nashua. For those who follow me, you are well aware of how much of a disappointing dumpster fire of a hibachi restaurant Takumi was. Welp, get ready to meet its opposing twin. Sakura wins in all the areas its competitor loses. Though, not without its own minor flaws. First off, the décor of this place is awesome! Contemporary, updated with lots of eye appeal, this place reeks of vibrant jubilation. Almost made me wanna bust a move on the hibachi table. Nah, I'm kidding. I don't even dance. Jokes aside though, it's nice to see a place like this make me remember that I'm still alive. So, what makes this place so much better than the others? Well for one thing, they actually SEASON their food! Crazy, right? Still, wifey and I both avoided ordering any more steaks for the time being and went with the lobster and shrimp/scallops, respectively. Both were excellent. Even the fried rice was pretty good.....but could have used more egg (and preferably unburnt). Assuming all the chefs here season the food exactly the same way, it's safe to assume the seafood here is around an 8 out of 10. Well, the lobster and shrimp, anyway. The scallops in this case....were burnt. Crisp. Blacker than the Batmobile. Toast. Scorchy, scorchy. You get the picture. No, the chef didn't leave his station. He just...kind of....seared the scallops for WAY too long. Funny thing is....the inside of the scallop still somehow came out perfect. I was worried those things would become hard as golf balls. But no....a bit of yum yum sauce spread across the scorched surfaces turns out to deal a unique, but pleasantly blended taste. Almost forgot I was eating charcoal. The server was weird. Like, she'd ask if we wanted refills at the oddest times. I mean, my bestie still had half a Margarita left when the waitress asked. Feeling the pressure a bit, bestie says yes, ends up giving the remaining drink to wifey, then wifey proceeds to get drunker than Rip Torn. But, I digress. The waitress was also impossible to hear in an already loud place. To be fair though, at least this place isn't as loud as Masa in Manchester. Never the less, we will be back. Even if, ya know....we still have to painstakingly ask for chopsticks when they simply could have been left on the table waiting for us. Order a chicken katsu, that normally comes with rice, salad, miso soup, 4/6 California sushi, veggies and tempura. However At this place I had to order everything separately. The phone conversation to place the order was confusing. Went to pick my order 25 mints after. The miso didn't taste fresh, the chicken looked kinda raw ‍. The rice tasted like jasmin rice. The California roll was ok. Ordered some steam broccoli that tasted ok as well. I would encourage the chef to be more attentive with their food. Listen, I am not a sushi guy. For me, its not the raw fish thats the issue, its the salty ass ocean leaves that you guys wrap that shit in. Its super gross. BUT my girlfriend loves sushi so I bring her here every time that she has one of these strange cravings. I usually order a scorpion bowl or two just to tolerate watching her eat it. They are inconsistent with their booze pours, which is my only real gripe about this place. My girlfriend says the sushi here is bangin. I believe her, so you probably should too. If you're like me, don't worry they have the basics like General Tso's chicken and shit too. They are also a full blown hibachi restaurant. 2 stars because we dined tonight 9/17/24; we were the only 2people at the bar for a Tuesday night at 6p. Bartender very nice, friendly and a little overwhelmed. We ordered 2 avocado salads, crispy wings and sushi roll. Took well over an hour for the wings to come out, even after 2 reminders and banter about where the wings were coming from. We finally were served the wings, they were room temperature. Very disappointing ! NO effort from management to make the situation right. We should have refused them, I requested that the wings be comp'd. The bartender informed us management does not comp food, had I known we would have refused them. I'm shocked and extremely surprised that the manager would prefer a bad review vs. comping the wings. The Bartender is clearly overwhelmed with NO support from other staff or management. She is expected to service the entire restaurant, the bar and grab the food as it comes out. It's no mystery why our wings took over an hour to be served and why they were cold. VERY disappointing experience. My advise, if it's takes longer than 30 minutes for your order to arrive, refuse the service, pay for your drinks and go to a restaurant that cares about your satisfaction. read more

Had some great chefs rolls, spicy and tasty. The Pad Thai was OK, could have used a little more sauce and while it had a peanut taste would have been much better with some chopped peanuts added. Service was fast and food came out promptly. Oh, I forgot I got calamari fried this time, it was good, sort of like onion rings but with nice sized squid rings. I might try the raw (unfried?) version next time as I like that too. Impeccable service!! I have been to many 5-star restaurants, and the service here is amazing!! We sat at the hibachi, and while it was very entertaining, I wish we had sat the children a little further away from the flash of fire or at least be warned. My grandkids, ages 4 and 8, were afraid after the big flash of fire. I will definitely be more careful next time. Sakura is an awesome sushi spot with a decent vegetarian selection of maki rolls. COVID precautions were very professional- temperatures taken at door, staff with masks and gloves, but patrons could have been spaced out a bit more. My friend and I had a hysterical moment because we ordered two rolls with avocados and they ran out of avocados. One of the Maki rolls was just peanuts, kind of strange but we ate it. We are planning to return in hopes that the avocados are not 86ed! read more

The sushi is always super fresh and beautiful ! My husband eats a ton of it . I however prefer Hibachi. The scallops are delicious my steak was a little over but usually perfect. The drinks are tasty and potent. My favorite is the "Mango Mai Tai". We did wait quite a while this particular visit but again they are usually pretty attentive so I attribute the wait to staff shortages as most are experiencing. Our most recent visit was wonderful and little to no wait for service. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Definitely a frequent spot for us we will be visiting often. read more

I had a great experience here. The ambiance (lighting, decor) is really nice without being overdone. This spot is great for birthday parties and groups! If you've never been here before, be aware it can get loud on the hibachi table side. The food tastes very fresh and it's not that greasy. Vegetable fried rice is my favorite. Scallion pancakes tasted SO fresh and doughy. The teriyaki chicken was tasty and not overcooked. I ordered a scorpion bowl for one, and it was good, especially for the price. Absolutely disgusted with this place. I have been here at least 5 times since my girlfriend moved to Nashua, conveniently within a 5 minute drive. Tonight, our hibachi chef was very friendly and attentive, however our waitress tried to rush us out the door as soon as he was finished cooking. She brought takeout containers and the check while everybody in the party was still eating. She also didn't ask us if we wanted another drink, we had one. We were rushed the minute we got through the door. To top it all off, we figured we'd get out of the way and move to the bar... Before we even had a seat the older woman yelled at us and said "YOU CAN'T SIT HERE IF YOU AREN'T 21 ARE YOU 21???" With a terrible attitude. Now this isn't the first time this woman has given us this same attitude, we had come here a few months ago with a friend and tried to sit down an hour before close and the first thing she said was that they're closing soon. Just an unwelcoming feeling, not once but twice. After 5 minutes of waiting for some service after she yelled at us thinking we were under 21, we decided to left. I am 25, and I have a baby face, but this is no way to treat paying customers... We walk out to the car and the woman behind the bar is pointing to us. The customer at the bar turn around and are staring... I begin backing out.. and a young man is standing at the doorway staring. I'm still backing out. He steps out the door so I pull back into the parking spot thinking we might've forgotten something. He comes to my window and accuses us of stealing a cup from them... I told him that the reason we left was because the bartender was so rude to us. He proceeded to tell us that the bartender said that we stole a cup.... so I went inside and asked her why she had told her staff this lie, she was in denial. I was so embarrassed. You guys lost a regular customer, I really liked this place. I will never return because of this particular sour and rude bartender. We happily took our business down the road to La Carreta where the bartender immediately greeted us with a friendly smile and a "how are you" before ID-ing us, instead of yelling at us before ID-ing us and basically sending us out the door. It was so good that we went two days later for the same. That experience was so good that we decided to go there for lunch and yet again the experience was outstanding. The chef put the steak on the grill, served my grand daughter her portion, then began seasoning the steak for everyone else (????) next he proceeded to divide up the portions unevenly, giving the other family each 2 helpings of food BEFORE serving us. My husband was last to be served so he was left with a minuscule portion of rice, steak, chicken, and vegetables. His serving sizes were actually less than my grandson's child size meal. At the end of this overly seasoned meal they tried to give us the other family's bill, which was considerably more than ours. Hmmm, could argue that it was an honest mistake, but was it? It's not hard to give two parties good service. Giving good service to one family shouldn't be at the expense of another family. Next time we want hibachi, we'll go across the street. read more

went here October 2022 food was amazing portions were incredible we all had left overs for next day (party of 13) went today november 3rd a little over a year later and wow have they changed we all had kid size portions (again party of 12) told chef/cook this was kind of small and we even ordered extra rice and he did nothing. For the amount that is being charged they should go back to what they were doing I walked around and saw other plates with bigger portions no problem not sure why we got treated different. Going to second guess going again maybe go to the one down the street. Only other issue is 2 people in our party were split with other side of grill and they did not receive any food the same time as us they had to wait which I think is not ok all our food should of came together even if they ordered from kitchen. read more
