Dynamite roll (and Alaska roll)

This was my dynamite roll? Everywhere else I've ordered this roll it was toasted, but this is just a bit lukewarm with two random cream cheese sticks on top :/ It said baked on the menu, so not quite what I was expecting. Fried rice and hibachi were delicious though. Hibachi came with white sauce as well

Great Service, vibes and food. Social distancing and mask are required. I loved all the food. The steak was tough I couldn't chew it ie reason for 4 stars in-lieu of 5. Shrimp was DELICIOUS!!! Very friendly atmosphere and very clean. Will return when I'm in town again and try the lobster.

There sushi here is sooo good I strongly recommend coming here the customer service excellent

My family, friends and I used to visit Sakura quite often. Back when you could get the vegetarian dinner for like $15-$16 and be completely satisfied. As of lately that is no longer the feeling we leave with. My party of 5 decided to give Sakura another try while a family member was visiting and not only have the prices been touched once again but the portions seem to be smaller. There is no option cheaper than $18 any longer unless it's a kids meal and they won't let adults order that. The service was decent, had to wave our waitress down most of the time. With the amount they are charging you'd think they'd upgrade the scenery by now but it's still the same from when we'd dine there back when they first opened.

One of the few restaurants, in Charlottesville, open Christmas Day. Service was fast and friendly quality of the food not so much. We did teppanyaki and the show is a big part of the experience...Audience/guest participation makes a difference. We happened to be seated next to family who weren't really into the show, which in turn made our chef not have the energy to go all out. He performed the bare minimum. I ordered scallops and lobster. Scallops We're perfectly cooked, the lobster was tough as shoe leather. Margarine was the overwhelming flavor in the fried rice. Husband had steak and shrimp. Shrimp were overdone and rubbery. Ultimately this place is about the show and not the food. Go with a large group and the more energy you project the more it spurs the chef to perform. If you're a party of two seated with a group of quiet folk the energy isn't there.

Filet with fried rice and zucchini and carrots only. Veggies adjusted by request.

First off: we have some severe food allergies and a couple of picky eaters at that. The staff here are amazingly accommodating. I was able to eat my meal without others comprising their experiences. Food tastes great!

Shrimp were like rubber could not even chew them up they seem to be store-bought really they're so bad right now even I look at them and they're terrible. The l Yokohama ramen was covered in terms of pork which was the main thing in the ramen the noodles were cold hard to eat and no flavor no soups in it one piece of seaweed about the size of a silver dollar. Overall I am completely disappointed and every part of the meal I do have one good compliment which is I left my wallet on the counter and return to find it in the same place which was good I just wish it would have been placed to the side so nobody could walk up and kick it. It was my fault for doing that but I really appreciate the person. I just returned my so-called Japanese food from last night because I have health condition I could not make it back out but it was so bad I had to take it back. The owner starts yelling at me so does the lady saying I fresh cooked all this there's no way in hell that was tempura shrimp and fresh cooked it was store-bought and I know what store-bought shrimp looks like and I'm going to bring him back a sample of it but neither one of them are from Japan at River bend in Japan and it doesn't even taste Japanese and most of the reviews I read thinking it's a Chinese place Chinese food doesn't take like this Japanese food doesn't take like this. The man continued to argue with me about how good it was in San he cooked it fresh he did not cook it there was only the woman in there and she was trying to say she didn't cook it and I walked back there to see it and she was cooking. Very disappointed he gave me half my money back which is not good business he has no understanding of Japanese culture at all people don't treat people like that in Japan I don't treat like people like that because I always felt like I was Japanese. Very disappointing

I chose the Vietnamese sandwich. It was so tasty. Bread was toasted and crispy and the mix of chicken, pickled cucumbers and fresh herbs were great. Very very nice lady (owner) and very helpful with the menu. - I had the chicken Pho ($16.50). I added the 2 included Hoisin sauce packets. It also came with a Sriracha sauce packet and a small container of chili oil along with the normal variety of noodles, sprouts, fresh herbs, green onions, white onions, jalapeño slices, and a lime wedge. The chicken was tender sliced white meat with no fat, gristle, or bones attached. The broth had a lot of flavor and was delicious. - I also had the shrimp and chive dumplings ($7.00). Not a strong shrimp flavor, but they had a nice crisp on the outside and were tasty. The sauce that comes with the dumplings is absolutely delicious. - My wife had the Bulgogi beef ($14.50). She said it was tender and very delicious. It came with rice, kimchi, and cucumber salad. I just happened to speak to Linh about the cucumber salad and she said this is how she's always made it for her kids and they love it. Well, I'm with her kids and love it too. She makes the vinaigrette herself and it has an unexpected sweetness to it instead of the usual strong vinegar flavor. We both loved it. - We had the pork gyoza ($7.00). This was cooked my favorite way, deep fried (not pan fried). This took me back to the gyoza in Japan and the Yaki Mandu I used to get in Korea. Great crispy wrapper with a tender flavorful filling. And again, the sauce that came with it is some of the best I've had. - The kimchi is not overly spicy and has a slight sweetness to it. - The Egg Tarts ($5.50) are good, not overly sweet. Could use a bit more filling for a better filling to pie crust ratio. - I also got a Chai tea bubble milk ($6.25) that was super delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed Nguyen's Kitchen and will go back with friends. It's unfortunate that it sits behind a Taco Bell and is not highly noticeable from the road, otherwise I might have tried it sooner.

I ordered takeout, and a smooth process had been implemented allowing me to quickly grab it. I liked that their online ordering system had a lot of checkboxes to customize things, but was nonplussed when I pulled out my vegetable soup with the "no cauliflower" option (which they clearly wrote on the container to remind themselves) but which did in fact have a bunch of broccoli and cauliflower that imbued the soup with a sulfurous foulness that I was hoping to avoid. Setting that aside, the rest of my food was quite good. Oddly, their curries are more vegetarian-friendly than some of their stir-fry dishes. I ordered my green curry Thai hot, and they delivered a ferocious dish with no questions asked, and a small sachet of extra dried chili that I didn't need to use for this and so saved for other food. The curry with some aromatic Jasmine rice hit the spot. Some vegetable rolls with very fine noodle threads made for a good snack later. I could certainly see coming back, ordering something different, and getting high quality food.
