I found this restaurant months in advance when I was planning a big trip that would come through here and immediately knew I wanted to try it. It was relatively close to our hotel so that was a plus. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and the views are fantastic. It was hot outside so we sat inside. Our server was fantastic. And she took very good care of us. My mom and I both ordered Italian cream sodas, which we both loved. The bread and herb butter is among some of the best I had. My mother ordered a spinach salad and clam chowder, which she really enjoyed. I ordered the Filet and shrimp. When my filet was brought out I immediately could tell by the char on the steak that it was really overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well, close to well done. I'm not one to complain much but I informed my server and she immediately took it back and apologized. After a few minutes she brought out my new steak and asked me to cut into it to be sure it was cooked correctly. Unfortunately it was once again overcooked to medium well, although it was very slightly better than the last. I told her it was fine and she said she would take it back again since she saw it wasn't cooked correctly again. I kept the steak and ate about half. The steak was just ok. I'm not sure if they season their steaks much but it seemed to not have any seasoning on it. My vegetables weren't fully cooked and the mashed potatoes were good but had green onions mixed in which I didn't care for. My shrimp however were great. We decided to order a desert and got their Crème Brûlée. Our server offered us a second complimentary dessert to apologize for my steak, but we only wanted the one. When our check came our server once again apologized for my steak and informed us they comped all our cream soda's and the dessert. While I was really disappointed in my meal, the service we received was outstanding. I'm not from the area and don't know when or if I'll ever be back through St. George, but I would definitely come back to give Cliffside another try.
First of all, the view of the city is absolutely gorgeous. As far as the view goes, I think it's the best dinning view in the city. The service was top notch. Our server was informative, not afraid to give suggestions and attentive to our table. My wife ordered the cliffside burger, which I tried (I'm a burger connoisseur) and this is easily the top 5 burgers I've had. She got the carrot cake for dessert and I cannot recommend that enough. I ordered the coconut crusted shrimp as an appetizer, the Chilean sea bass as my main dish and the molten lava cake for dessert. The Chilean sea bass, was cooked to absolute perfection. I don't believe I've had fish cooked that well in a long time. My appetizer was amazing, the orange dipping sauce they made was phenomenal. And my dessert, oh my gosh. It's cooked to order and served with ice cream! The atmosphere was peaceful and classy. 10 out of 10. Don't miss this gem while you're visiting, and if you're local and haven't tried it, don't walk, run to make a reservation!
We've been getting season tickets for Tuacahn for several years now and large part of our getaway expirience is staying at the Inn On The Cliff and dining at the Cliffside restaurant. Cliffside has become one of our favorite restaurants. Honestly, I can't think of any bad experiences here. The staff from receptionist to the wait staff have always been so friendly and knowledgeable about any of the dishes on the menu or specials. This weekend I has the Chillean Sea Bass with mushroom risotto. Now added to the menu. It was so tender & delicate, perfectly prepared. Nothing worse than poorly overcooked fish. My wife had her usual Chili-Glazed Salmon as always. It is so consistently delicious as it is every time. Can't wait to be back in July!
Slade is a really good server. The four cheese and pear pasta with added mushrooms is a delicious treat! It's so comforting and yummy! The atmosphere is good and the views are amazing! You can also bring your own bottle of wine for a $15.00 cork fee. There is also a wine and beer menu but no premium liquor or bar.
Overall, I'm a bit unimpressed. For a $51 plate, I really shouldn't be served soggy bland frozen vegetables. They legitimately were the bagged veggies you microwave... My steak was also bland and overcooked. My husband also said his ribeye was just "ok". But coconut shrimp appetizer was great!! Our server was friendly and attentive! And the ambiance and the view were BEAUTIFUL!
Love this place. View is amazing and food always good. Was brought here for lunch by business colleagues and loved it. On my next visit to St George I brought my wife here. She also loved it We had the squash soup and fish of the day. Bread service was delicious and we scoffed it down. Appetizer was the squash bisque. Full of flavor and delicious I ordered the swordfish special and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly Service was great. Can't wait to return
We made a reservation for 745pm. We stayed at the inn adjacent to the restaurant. We had asked for a window seat specifically for my birthday. The restaurant said they would do that for us but we may have to wait which was fine. We called and confirmed again and told them again it was for a birthday dinner. Staff seated us away from the window and nothing was available. Didnt allow us to wait which was disappointing. Order the filet two glasses of red wine and a vegetable pasta with steak added on. The vegetable pasta looked like a pasta soup. It had good flavor but was a mess to look at. Steak was prepared well and placed on top of tasteless potatoes. No mention of the birthday. Waitress was not attentive. Really just a poor end to an overall good day. Service needs work.
We had the ribeye, cliffside burger, calamari, clam chowder, and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Calamari had bits of pickled jalapeños with just the right amount of flavor. Clam chowder was best I've ever had and the steak and burger were delicious! The views both from inside and outside were epic, especially at sunset. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!
Exceptional Service from the wait staff! Truly an experience to have dinner and seated near windows that overlooked the city. Food was good and the venue was top notch. All guests seem to have a great time. The location was on top of the hill next to the hotel. Food came quickly, view from venue was breathtaking, staff was always ready, eager, and happy to serve.
Service was good(very friendly just a bit slow). We enjoyed clam chowder, trout, and steak with a beer each. The restaurant was super cold inside, so plan accordingly. We did not feel rushed at all, it was a very relaxing meal. The bowl of clam chowder was huge and my husband really enjoyed it! The view is stunning.

The interior is clean, modern, and well maintained, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special night out. Our server, Nayar, was a delight--personable, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The bread was soft and fluffy, served with a delicious whipped herb butter. The spinach salad was thoughtfully split into two bowls for easy sharing, and the dressing was fantastic! The cheese and pear pasta was incredible. I don't usually order pasta, but I couldn't resist this unique pairing--especially after Nayar's recommendation--and it did not disappoint. I added salmon, which was perfectly seared and a generous portion. My boyfriend ordered the trout, which was also cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée was amazing (and I say this confidently, as it's my favorite dessert, so I've tried many). The highlight here is the elevated presentation, as every plate looked beautiful, along with the stunning views. Great value for the price. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening out and definitely plan to return!
Went hiking at Zion and refused to go to Cedar City to scrounge for something to eat. We heard St. George was more diverse with more options so to St George we headed. After finding Cliffside and being sold on the view we were not disappointed. We sat outside b/c although we got there at 5pm opening time, they only had space for us on in the Cliff! So plan ahead and make a reservation! We ordered the special w/fish (can't remember what type), rosemary chicken, and pasta w/shrimp, wedge and side salads. The Italian soda was to die for... My husband is allergic to fish and was going to get the Chicken Fried Chicken; but they fry it in the same oil as their fish. I appreciated them letting us know this ahead of time. There's lots of parking, beautiful views from the parking lot and restaurant. If I ever return to St.George this is my first stop! read more

The food was excellent, and the view was absolutely beautiful. My father ordered the Cliffside burger and ranked it among the top three burgers he's ever had, which is high praise coming from him! My stepmom enjoyed the Southwest salad and thought it was very good, although, as others have mentioned, the $9 charge to add protein felt a bit steep. I ordered the pear and four-cheese pasta, and it did not disappoint--absolutely delicious! Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely return the next time we're in St. George. We enjoyed it so much that we also highly recommended it in the guest book at the place where we were staying. read more
Cliffside was one of the highlights of our trip to St. George and the perfect choice for a special occasion dinner. We were able to snag patio seating, and the views were absolutely stunning. The restaurant sits in a beautiful location overlooking the area, making it easy to see why it's one of the most popular dining destinations in St. George. Reservations are highly recommended. The standout dish for our group was the Chilean sea bass. All four of us agreed it was exceptional--perfectly cooked, flaky, buttery, and incredibly juicy. It was served over a mushroom risotto that was packed with flavor and complemented the fish beautifully. The chicken fried chicken was another surprise favorite. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all, which can be hard to find with fried chicken. My friend ordered the filet with shrimp as a surf-and-turf option and couldn't stop talking about how incredible it was. Save room for dessert! The carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had. I've never tasted carrot cake with that much flavor--it was rich, moist, and absolutely unforgettable. We also loved the house-made Italian sodas, which were served in beautiful glasses and added a fun touch to the meal. What truly elevated the experience was the service. From the hostess warmly greeting us for our reservation to our server's excellent menu recommendations and attentive, prompt service throughout the evening, every interaction was exceptional. Between the spectacular views, outstanding food, and impeccable service, Cliffside delivered a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Husband and I came to St. George for a weekend get a way after fighting some bad depression. We wanted to enjoy. My husband got the steak burger, he said it was really good. He was a little disappointed in the fries, but over all good. I got the Baja fish tacos and they were amazing except the actual fish. The toppings 5 stars, but but fish was so wet that the crispiness was just gone. The server was amazing, Jared went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience overall a great time and beautiful place. Lemon-lime aid =phenomenal read more

Prices are sooo worth it and significantly better than other restaurants nearby like Painted Pony and George's, this place takes the cake! We always make a reservation when we're in St. George. The swordfish I would rate 4.5 out of 5; it was a good size portion but a little dry. The cilantro lemon rice was a 5 out of 5. The Seared Idaho Red Trout 5 out of 5. Four Cheese & Pear Pasta 5 out of 5. All the desert choices were 5 out of 5. The service from the receptionist to our waitress, Kelsey, was OUTSTANDING! Kelsey was phenomenal! She answered all our questions, made suggestions and even though she was working several tables we never felt neglected. She was a 10 out of 5. The only drawback was the ambiance. There needs to be some type of evening dress code. Nothing formal but gym shorts with flip flops, ball caps and sweat pants detracted from the overall ambiance and fantastic views. Make a reservation, bring your favorite person, and prepare to enjoy a good meal. There is not a bad seat in the house. Sit outside if you can. Every dish we've eaten here has been excellent. Fish, chicken, or beef, every offering has been well thought out. Every side pairs well. The steak is perfectly cooked medium rare. All steaks are sous vide. The coconut shrimp was delicious. For goodness sake, unless you love waiting for a table, make a reservation. This is a very popular restaurant for good reason. Also, while this restaurant may be connected to a hotel, it's no generic hotel restaurant. It's a very good restaurant with charming indoor and patio seating, a terrific menu, and lots of drink options, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. The rich and creamy butternut squash soup is absolutely fantastic. It is a must order. The clam chowder was good and hearty but not amazing. I went with the very popular steak burger. It's delicious but mine was served on a very hard bun which really wasn't the best. A softer, more flavorful bun might have been better. The dish comes with about a some excellent Parmesan French fries. I almost never order fish at non-seafood restaurants but the special fish dish of the night (I think it was halibut) was light, flaky, and wonderful. They've got interesting beers and wines but the non-alcoholic Italian sodas--which come in about ten different flavors--are outrageously good. Our server was excellent. He was polite, friendly, attentive, and gave good recommendations. This is a lovely restaurant. Make a reservation. read more
Everything here is absolutely perfect. Couldn't believe a hidden gem of this restaurant is in the city. The view was phenomenal and the service from Jay really makes us feel very welcome to the area. The food was tasty and not to mention the price is affordable for such an experience! Highly recommend if you are in the area. read more

We came for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. While this restaurant is definitely considered fine dining, you won't be disappointed by the portion sizes. The flavor was incredible. While the atmosphere inside is fairly simple, it does not lack class. We enjoyed the mood of the restaurant as well as the incredible views from the windows. I'd highly recommend it. Our waiter was very kind and they helped us celebrate with the cutest little dessert. read more

Come to Cliffside for the views-- STAY FOR THE FOOD!! Wow! I mean, the gimmick of Cliffside is expected-- the drive up and the views are super fun to see... The complimentary warm sourdough with herbed butter is one way to start out a positive review from me-- and honestly, I could've done this warm, and simultaneously crusty and soft sourdough all day long... but... I'm glad I practiced some restraint because... I was NOT expecting EVERY SINGLE DISH to be so sensational! We ordered for an army... and were only two... so we have plenty of leftovers to doggiebag for home. I'm SO GLAD that I went whole hog and ordered BOTH appetizers that looked appealing-- the Cranberry Pesto Balsamic Glazed Mozarella Crostini was SENSATIONAL-- what a fun twist on bruschetta! And the Cornmeal Calamari with Banana Peppers was equally delish-- and if you shy away from peppers, no need to for this dish-- they deliver all the flavor without a spicy kick. It was a perfect day for clam chowder... and I'm so glad I ordered a bowl... plenty for two, and chock full of clams and potatoes... a hardy soothing soup! My husband ordered the Cliffside burger, and took much of it home-- it is enormous-- and the parmesan fries are divine and plentiful too. I'm soo glad I ordered the Chili Crusted Salmon with Mango Salsa and Coconut Rice and Seasonal Veggies-- Every-Single-Item-On-My-Plate-- delish! Seriously... even the green beans were perfection! And let's not forget the Italian Cream Soda... my husband's first ever. He ordered banana strawberry... and it was a spritzy burst of creamy sweetness that we both enjoyed. Lastly, the lovely Cydney was our server (she's from Nebraska-- so I knew I'd love her!), and we enjoyed her conversation and smile and hope to see her at the St George Musical Theater production of Annie that we told her all about! Location. Fantastic location on top of a bluff with views of the entire city. The restaurant is newer and clean and beautiful! Lively modern decor. Comfortable chairs. We had about a 10 min wait on Saturday for lunch About noon. You can call for reservations but we hadn't. It was our first time visiting. We had 3 adults and 2 small kids. Prices are reasonable and food quality is very good. They have a kids menu. I'll post a photo of it. I had the soup and salad. Clam chowder is very good and a Caesar salad. I did not like the cradle dressing. It needs a complete overhaul. The salad lettuce was very fresh and comes with a load of fresh baked break and herb butter. Dan had the steak burger with bacon and Parmesan fries. Amber had a very rich and good sandwich and she like the Parmesan fries a lot. The boys did too. Caden had the kids pasta with Alfredo sauce and he liked it. It's a large helping so they had leftovers for dinner. Connor had the pasta with red sauce. He also liked it. They both had a fruit cup as the side. Amber ordered the special root beer float and it was very large and great. Highly recommended We want to return for dinner and Dan wants to try a steak. First time here! Wow the views were amazing. We had a group of 10 for dinner. The food was worth it. I had the rosemary chicken , my friends had 4 cheese pasta with salmon and one with chicken . So of the others had the ribeye. Everything was wonderful. We had a young waiter Donte who was amazing he was knowledgeable, personable and very kind. We all loved him. He went out of his way to make our night memorable. We will definitely be back anytime we are in St. George. read more
Usually restaurant with a nice view means the food is subpar, but not at all here. Everything we ordered was delicious, the highlights were the calamari and pear/cheese pasta, and save room for their desserts--everything is made in house. But what really set this dining experience from others is the extraordinary service provided by our server, Tina! You can tell she loves her job and takes pride in providing the best hospitality and service. She overhead that we were on the run, we had to head back home to Cali and so she had the food all come out the same time. When I exclaimed how large their lemonade was, she told me I can take the rest in a to-go cup for the ride home. So attentive and sweet. read more

Yes, that is what I did. They said they would put a note down that I was wanting a seat by the window, but when I arrived, I had to remind them again. I had to wait a few extra minutes after I arrived at my reservation time in order to be seated by…
