Receipt for dinner for 2 on Memorial Day 2026. Not sure if special menu

What a treat and so close to home!! Hubster gorged himself on the whelk, salmon sashimi, baby octopus, crab legs, the large variety of sushi, and shrimp! They have plenty of other favorites like pot stickers, egg rolls, bbq ribs, chicken sticks, and neat new things like chicken sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves! Lots of colorful options for dessert, but i am especially fond of the fresh fruit. We are definitely coming back! Lost a star because beverage service seems to be one-and-done. Pepsi products only.

This is the fourth restaurant in this location. For some reason, nothing seems to be able to make it here. The first place was a great steak and seafood place, it has been a Mexican restaurant with a fabulous brunch and again a seafood restaurant. All very good. Now it is an Asian and seafood buffet. We went for dinner, when it includes half a lobster. The lobster is ok. Mine was kind of over cooked. Honestly, the crab legs were the best thing on the menu. I love sushi so I had a couple of every roll. Some were good, some were just ok. Publix sushi iis just as good or better. Also had some fried dumplings (bland) and tried the chicken and sticky rice wrapped in leaves. The hubs had other stuff. Sadly, we both agreed we were not impressed and will not return. This was an expensive dinner and the flavor just didn't live up to the price.

When I heard from a friend that a new Chinese Seafood Buffet opened up in the area, I decided to check it out. I think they are located in a decent location, with lots of people driving past, so hopefully they do alright long term. People working here are friendly and the food overall is ok. I do wish there were more hot food items, but the stuff they had was alright. Best hot food item was the roasted beef short rib. Definitely the most tender beef short rib I have come across at a Chinese buffet. They had a decent sushi and sashimi selection. I do think the scallop sashimi was quite fresh, as was the shrimp for the shrimp cocktail. The sushi rolls were alright. Definitely could also use more variety here, but was pretty fresh. Friendly service throughout my meal. Overall, decent place :)

Stopped by on the first weekend of their grand opening. What a huge place! The sushi bar alone was *chef's kiss* the salmon sashimi (a big fave) was super fresh..I mean really every thing that was on the sushi bar was super fresh! A lot of different things to choose from including hibachi, lobster is extra. Tons of seafood. Fruit and desserts too. Restaurant is clean and service was on point. They never hovered over you but our drinks were never empty. Great value for the money. Just keep in mind that they charge dinner prices all day on weekends.

The squid sashimi was delicious, this is a must get for me. I got two servings of tobiko sushi, red, because I thought my older son would want some. This time he didn't, so next time I should get one serving of tobiko sushi and one serving of just tobiko sashimi as always I got a Saba sushi for my dad. The rolls are where I really faultered this time. I got the fresh salmon roll, which I always love so that's a good choice. My younger son actually kept eating the rice from that roll so I got salmon sashimi through that. I ordered the super protein because I didn't think it had rice in it, when it says it has rice paper, it means rice paper instead of seaweed. I felt like there was too much mayo, because I ended up ordering three rolls with mayo inadvertently . So next time, definitely do not get the Tokyo tower, the super protein, and the screaming orgasm at the same time. I got the screaming, because it said there was no rice, but there definitely was rice. I'm not sure if the menu was wrong or if they made it incorrectly, but it also had a lot of mayo so I wouldn't get the screaming again. The Tokyo Tower also had a lot of mayo. I liked the super protein the best out of the three, so if I decide, I do want one roll with mayo, I would go with the super protein. However, if this is future me reading this, I should go back to my standard order, which is detailed in my last review. My husband likes the wonton soup, so we always get him that as well. Overall, I still like the sushi here, we ordered all of the above and had about a roll left over. So if I'm looking to order just enough for one dinner, I should stick with three rolls not four. They quoted us at 30 to 35 minutes but they ended up taking about 45 minutes.

Amazing even for takeout…read more I'm going to rank the dishes in the order that I enjoyed them. 1. Crying Tiger. This is grilled marinated Ny sirloin strip served with Laotian sticky rice, pickled daikon and carrots. 10/10. The meat was so exceptionally tender, even reheated the next day. I loved the sticky rice. My youngest son loved it too, so it was a huge winner. 2. Crispy Volcano Chicken. I really enjoyed this as well. It has the outside that reminds me of orange chicken. 3. Green Papaya Salad. I'm a huge papaya salad fan and this one really hit the spot. I'm the only one in my family who eats it, but I feel healthy when I do and it's delicious. 4. Fried chicken wings - they were plump and the entire family enjoyed this. The two dishes that were good, but I'd skip next time are the chicken satay (this sat around in our fridge for a while) and the black dragon roll which was good, but I think their non sushi dishes really shine. It said the food would be ready in 30 minutes (we ordered online) and when we picked up about 30 minutes later it was ready. It's super easy to park since it's a large parking lot and run in and out. I will definitely be getting more takeout from here for my family.

Overall, a great place to meet friends for dinner…read more This place gets super crowded during happy hour, and it makes sense because they're happy hour is fantastic. However, be warned that if you come even slightly after happy hour, which is about 7 PM that it may be very hard to find a table. The restaurant is quite large, so it is impressive how busy they are. I don't know when they started doing this, but now you can park on the grass in front of the restaurant so it makes parking a lot easier. You don't have to be worried about finding a parking spot in their lot. I got a Yoshi roll and a salmon skin hand roll. Both were pretty good. I wouldn't say this is the best sushi ever, but it is solid and pretty much the only option in this area. The lychee martini is sweet, so if you like your drink sweet, this is for you. I tried the lavender margarita after, which was delicious and had a good taste of lavender. They were a good combination since I don't think I overly loved either, but I liked both. They do have a huge opening to outside and a large outdoor eating space. So if you're prone to mosquitoes, you may want to spray yourself just in case you end up sitting outside or near the outside area. They also have quite a few TVs and a large bar. Nancy--affectionately known as "Beautiful Nancy"--was our server, and she did an outstanding job. We ordered the sushi and sashimi entrée along with a salmon and cream cheese roll--everything was fresh and delicious. We also had the spicy seafood soup, which brought back memories from when Sushi Alive was located in Northdale, and it was just as good as I remembered.
