At 6:30 on a Tuesday night, it wasn't very crowded. My favorite seats, at the bar in front of the chef, were available. The chef was very friendly and didn't mind answering a few question and making a few dietary modifications for us. The service was pretty fast, even with a single server, as there wasn't much of a crowd yet. Drinks came quickly and we were attended to perfectly. We selected a few rolls, with the help of the chef on his house specialties. I was impressed with his speed and efficiency. I was not as impressed with the accuracy of his cuts. The portions were uneven and the end pieces were fairly loose and almost too large to eat in one bite. The taste and presentation was spot-on and the fish was fresh tasting. As we were at the bar and sharing the rolls, I appreciated the rolls came out in intervals instead of all at once, so we never felt crowded at the smaller dining area. This place is similar to Jimmy's. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they serve Sunomono, an authentic Japanese salad of cucumbers, rice vinegar, sesame oil & sesame seeds. It's a refreshing choice on a hot day! Sadly, you never see this item on most sushi restaurant menus. The sushi was very fresh and tasty. The miso soup was very good, too. This is my new favorite sushi bar. It had the best spicy tuna sashimi. Taste like tuna tartar. The food is really fresh and amazing. We ordered the Mexican rolls, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, the spicy tuna and salmon sashimi, and we ordered something called the poom roll that had krab meat on top. That was the best dish. The customer service was impeccable. You get the overall sushi experience with the hot towels and the edamame to begin with. The cold sake was good but it wasn't cold enough. read more

I had the spicy tuna & white fish sushi rolls, they seemed to be ok, not as neat on plate as other sushi places but not bad either. Wife had the dumplings, they were soft & not chewy. This place is GREAT! I have only been there for takeout, but every time I walk in I get greeted with the biggest smiles. They are so kind and welcoming, that they are the only local place were I will have sushi. The quality of the sushi is EXCELLENT! This place is amazing! The staff were welcoming and friendly, even a little humorous. The sushi is out of this world good. I had the Pineapple Express and Crunchy Eel. My boyfriend had the Red Dragon and XXX. All were delicious! The garden salad and seaweed salad were also great. Best ginger dressing salad I've had in a while. I will say this is the best sushi place we have found! The food was amazing. They had new rolls with different combinations and had some very good sake. The owner Bill was the sushi chef and just added that aspect of personality that made the entire evening even more enjoyable.
