The pizza was outstanding! The best New York style I've ever had. The service was great very quick!

One of the best pizza places I've had in a very long time. Had dinner here and pizza here in the past week and was delightfully surprised at how great it was both times, and how clean inside is! Lasagna was delicious, the sauce was cooked to perfection with melty bubbly mozzarella you could die for. Tortellini alfredo with garlicky broccoli was amazing. The alfredo was on the thin side which I wasn't sure about at first but it worked, I'm craving it right now. 2 days later, I got slices at the end of the night. Baked ziti slice and upside down sicilian and some garlic knots. The garlic knots are the best I've had in a long long time. The slices were great!! This is a hidden gem, owner is a great guy. Pizza is delicious especially the Sicilian slices. After a long hard day at work I stopped in for a slice and I was served 2 slices. One slice was on the house, I was asked how was my day. I guess it showed. Their customer service was amazing! read more

My friend and I had the most excellent pizza and garlic knots that you wouldn't believe. Sal told us about his family in Sicily and the fact that he's a 1st generation immigrant with a deep passion and respect for the food that he creates. Ordered a hero. No A/C on a hot day, so had to get it to go. Meatballs had no taste, no seasonings to speak of. Like balls of meat made from an ice cream scooper. Not much cheese for a parm hero. Ate less than half, threw the rest away, wouldn't buy again. Waste of money. read more

I remember years ago when it was Happy Time and everyone loved it. So I finally decided to give it a shot. The place looks nice inside. The only gives off a friendly city vibe. As someone originally from Queens, it was a deja by moment. I purchased a meatball pie and spaghetti with garlic and oil. The sauce was a little thick but that might just be my particular taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. As far as the pizza goes, the meatballs and sauce had a very nice taste. Just wish there was more on each slice. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star was the crust. While the thickness of the pizza was perfect, the crust should be cooked longer to a mild crispness. Otherwise between price and taste; very good. read more

My husband tried this place a few months ago to switch things up as we didn't love the local spots we had been going to and now my kids won't eat pizza from anywhere else!!! Every time we go there we are greeted by the friendliest staff that go above and beyond to show you the meaning of great service. I grew up in the area and in the 90's this place was called Happy Time Pizza. It was the best pizza around and some of my happiest memories were indulging on this amazing pizza every Friday night. I stopped by on a recent trip, hitting my old stomping grounds, and am happy to report while the name may changed its STILL the same great pizza from my youth. I had to change my review after my last couple visits. These guys always have Fox News on both TV's in the place. During my last visit the owner and a customer were in the dining room openly bashing Democrats and liberals Whatvever your politics, why would you want to alienate a large portion of potential customers? Came here hoping they'd still be open, it was around 8:30 ish and luckily they still had some pizza left, no regular so Ingot a grandma and my friend got a white slice and we got a few knots and a side of sauce, everything was delicious, so good it made me wonder how much more delicious it would be if I went during the day when they have fresh pies. So why the 3 stars? Newsmax... it's because freakin Newsmax, they actually had newsmax on the tv while we were eating and it's a very right wing propaganda type of channel that makes Fox look tame in comparison, it was very distracting... funny as hell but I don't need that type of entertainment when I'm trying to eat my food, laughing while you're trying to eat can lead to death... facts. This is what NY Pizza is all about. I'm proud to bring friends and visitors from out-of-state to give them some real pizza. Especially the EX-NEW YORKERS Hah! This place in Selden and Colosseo in Port Jeff Station are really the best around. P.S. Excellent pizza... probably my favorite in the area. We took our entire baseball team here for a post season celebration and they were great, just kept cranking out pies and pitchers of soda. Owner is a great guy as well. read more

This place has quickly become my favorite place locally for hot italian dishes. They cook a meatball that momma would be proud of. Although they do cook pizza there (Large 8 slice, small 6 slice, Sicilian 10 slice, and Grandma pizza) which are all quite tasty, the reason I go back is for their well price dishes including baked dishes like Lasagna and Baked Ziti - I say go there and enjoy the Sal-Anthony experience!! read more

Love this place! The pizza is always right on point and always fresh! I've catered from them for Christmas Eve a few times and it's always delicious! Their rice balls and potato crochets are always a big hit and their penne ala vodka too! Did I mention the owners are so nice and personable? The food was great. However I was not happy with the service. We walked in to an empty dining area, sat down at a table and no one came to take our order. I eventually had my teenage daughter get two menus for us to look at. No one came to the table to take our order so she went up to the counter to place our order. He did bring our food to the table and cleared the table when we were finished. I was appalled when he gave us the bill and added on an 18 o/o tip for himself. Hands down best pizza. Not soggy or oily, cheese actually has taste to it. Eating this pizza since we were kids riding bikes to the one in Farmingville. Always a pleasure to see Sal and the crew. The food is good but the service is not. I had a restaurant.com certificate I wanted to use. Last time we dined in and the owner told me I could use it for take out too. This time I wanted to use it on take out. They guy behind the counter was not the owner but he said that we couldn't use it that way and lied and said that restaurant.com was out of business and he cannot accept the certificate. The Pizza is great. I love their eggplant pizza. Whenever I have people visiting I get two pizzas and an order of Penne ala Vodka, Its the best around here for sure. read more
