    Chicken ranch and margherita.
    Nicole D.

My favorite pizzeria on Main Street! Not long ago, I was surprised to see its name went from Delfiore to Italiano, but the food and friendly staff are the same. I love the margherita and chicken ranch slices. They're fresh, flavorful, and perfect for eating in the clean, spacious restaurant or as you're strolling the town. So, if you're in Patchogue and are craving pizza, give Italiano a try. It hits the spot!

    Garlic flatbread included with pasta
    Meri L.

Ordered some takeout for dinner. I was in the mood for pasta because carbs are life. I went with penne Alfredo with shrimp. It definitely had good flavor and a generous amount of shrimp. The menu stated it had pancetta, but I didn't have any pancetta in my dish. Pasta dishes come with a small salad and a garlic flatbread. The garlic flatbread is just pizza dough with garlic powder. It would be a lot better if it was fresh garlic. I would try something else from here next time.

I've been coming to this place for years. I love the mozzarella balls. I literally get them twice a week. 10/10.

In an area where there's a pizza joint on every corner, that's saying something. Dinners are excellent: the chicken francese, Marsala and penne vodka are simple dishes, done right every time. The penne specifically can feed more than one, and it's a great weeknight meal when the kids have sports and cooking is out! The staff is great and friendly, and greets you with a smile as soon as you walk in, regardless of how busy they are. Specialty slices are my favorite, and I've never tried something I didn't like. Fresh tomato slice is fabulous, and we've catered many staff gatherings with a salad pie at our local business. It blows any other salad slice I've ever tried out of the water! The newest addition to their menu, and my absolute new favorite obsession is their New Haven style pizza. I heard some rumors that it was awesome and when I called to order one, they very kindly told me I should come early to be sure I was there when it came out of the oven. That plus opening the box in the car to let out the steam gave us literally the best slice I've ever had. It's crispy and crunchy on the bottom, thin and delicious on top with no dripping cheese. Just the right amount of sauce and little punch of what I think is parm reggiano and it is now my favorite thing to eat. Whether you have a favorite local spot or not, go for the New Haven pizza at least. Buy a whole pie, you'll want leftovers. I can't wait to eat this again.

The hero roll was a fresh, seeded semolina bread--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken cutlet was generously sized and fried to perfection. The cheese was plentiful, and the sandwich wasn't overloaded with sauce. When I opened the bag and saw the hero, I was pleasantly surprised. At $13, it was a substantial sandwich and a good value. Many restaurants charge similar prices but skimp on the filling, leaving you with little more than a bread sandwich. On my first bite, I immediately noticed the tangy, acidic tomato sauce. While many people enjoy a bright, acidic sauce, it's not my personal preference. I also encountered a chewy bite, likely from the tendon that sometimes runs through a chicken tenderloin. It's the tough white cord-like strip that can occasionally make its way into a sandwich. Overall, I'd rate this sandwich an 8/10 for value but only a 5/10 for flavor. While the portion size and quality of the bread and chicken were impressive, the sauce wasn't to my liking. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

On this occasion the staff really used the bandwidth to elevate our experience. We came here for the first time just before closing on a slow night en route to the East End, and i can tell you that this typically bustling place (judging from other reviews) delighted across the board. There is obviously a strong management culture here that expects excellence at all times. Food is fantastic - all the Italian American standards are represented here. Chicken francese and pasta with vodka sauce were off-the-hook. Portions are of the "roll you out the door" size, so the experience continued to lunch the following day. The restaurant is situated right in the bay, so it's a lovely setting as well - even in January. I enjoyed the service most of all. It was extremely tight and not rushed despite the fact that we were the last table. Thanks to the team for making this a very memorable experience when it would have been so much easier to pack it in for the night. I'm looking forward to the next time.

Cool spot with a Manhattan vibe "behind" Main Street in Patchogue…read more The reason this is key is because, since they face out to the firehouse and residential areas, parking USUALLY isn't a problem. There's a small lot that's free and you can park on Jennings. (sorry residents). We went on NYE so had to park several blocks away. No biggie. The inside is dark and cool with a city-vibe. Ample bar space and 1-4 tops an some banquet seating that lets you look out over the street. We were greeted right away by what turned out to be our server and seated promptly by the windows (we had a reservation). Also greeted by a gentleman that we think might have been her dad. The young lady hustled all night and managed the crowd well. We never waited too long for her to check in on us and she was very helpful with selecting wine and clarifying menu items. That being said, THIS IS A SMALL PLATES JOINT. People expecting full-sized portions should adjust their expectations accordingly. We did, however, order the Trastavere seafood platter (medium) which came as a tower and seemed impressive. Two types of oysters (large and medium) were presented; briny and fresh and pretty damned tasty. There was also a ceviche and tuna tartare that was, unfortunately, a bit unremarkable, as was the shrimp cocktail (though the shrimps were pretty hefty). The American "black caviar" was a nice way to commemorate the meal. Nutty with a pop of salinity but maybe something you can skip. We meant to order the Carne e Formaggi but got the Gamberetto instead which was fine as it was pretty tasty nonetheless (made with shrimp but it almost tasted like smoked salmon). Virgola Manhattan was good but pretty standard. Follow-up drink of dirty Manhattan was blissfully salty and cold. But back to the menu: we are unsure if they have an actual kitchen back there which would also explain the small plates concept and oyster and chilled fish options. The bruschetta was tasty, as mentioned, but it seems like they cut and toasted the bread and topped it with the crudo. The other bruschetta options featured ingredients from other menu items that could be re-purposed for multiple dishes. Smart but expect this. We plan on returning and trying the charcuterie board (mix and match cheeses and meats) and some cocktails. Overall, a nice night out and a nice option for dining and drinking around Patchogue. Cheers!

Ooo thank you Yelp for helping me find this gem!…read more Small dark restaurant with limited tables and a long bar & stools and cool view of the wood-fired brick oven pizza. Everything was delicious and fresh, I only wished I lived close to this place because I would eat here all the time. Monday night dinner and only a few tables were filled which seemed strange to me since the food was A+, but the takeout was poppin. We started with 6 garlic knots. If you think you only need 6...you are wrong. You need 12, I'm serious! Such warm, crusty, garlicky goodness, they were gone in 60 seconds and we had to order more. - Caprese salad had perfectly ripe yellow and red tomato with a seriously gigantic ball of buffalo mozz - Caesar salad was a little too heavy on the dressing - fresh pasta so good! Papparadella with pesto and fresh mozz & rigatoni bolognese. Flavorful sauces! - Forresta pizza crust was so perfectly thin & crispy and the prosciutto was shaved thin and cooked crispy. Great combo with the arugula - sadly they were out of the tiramasu and sorbet so we tried a cannoli and it was very large filled with rich creamy ricotta and chocolate chips - thanks to a fellow yelper find...they have Mexican Coke!
