It was different, but I really enjoyed it. Naturally, I had to finish with my signature drink, a Cosmopolitan, because I am the Black Carrie Bradshaw of Long Island. And it did not disappoint. The eats: I got the charcuterie board--fancy and bougie, just like me--and wrapped up the night with the brownie à la mode for dessert. I also want to shout out an employee who kept mopping the floor throughout the event due to a leaking AC -- that extra effort didn't go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated. That said, there were a few areas that fell short. For a wedding, timing is crucial, and unfortunately, not all tasks listed in the contract were completed -- including timely arrival, full decoration setup, and breaking down all tables and chairs afterward. These small gaps made things a bit stressful during an already time-sensitive event. My family decorated all tables themselves which caused them to be so stressed out instead of enjoying the whole wedding. I believe with more experience handling weddings specifically, the team will be able to execute more smoothly in the future.
