This restaurant has always been awesome. Max treats you like family, the food and service is great.

Ordered baked clams, antipasto salad and veal picata. The clams were very dry and had to be basted with the garlic oil provided. The salad was ok. The linguine pasta was extremely over cooked it was soft and mushy. Veal was covered with pieces of artichoke so it was hard to find the veal. The veal was gray in color but tender. I've been ordering from Selden Pizza for years. The food is good and their prices are reasonable. The only con, for me, is that the taste of the food is not consistent. I'm not sure how many chefs are "in the kitchen" but a little more consistency would be nice. Even so, I would not hesitate to recommend Selden Pizza to friends and family. read more

I live very close to a pizza place that held high accolades for a long time, but sadly has gone downhill lately. I am happy to say I've found Selden restaurant! Every single thing we have ordered from them has been fresh and delicious. Their bolognese sauce even had peas in it, which most places, it's just meat sauce. The hot heroes have been perfect. My sister ordered an Italian hero for Easter lunch and specifically said no dressing on it. When my brother in law went to get it he asked where was the mayo on the side and they said that mayo doesn't go with an Italian hero but when my sister opened it it had mayo on it. The guy that was there gave her an attitude and told her to return it for her money back but she had guest arriving soon. He never apologized. So she went the day after Easter to speak with the owner, Max, and he said that mayo is not a dressing and that if she didn't want mayo on it she should have specifically said no mayo. Very nice and great service. Pizza is really good. Calzone was good too. Also got a chicken lunch special and so perfect for lunch. Even had some leftovers. They will even deliver a whole bunch of slices. The chicken Caesar Salad pizza is amazing for those that like it. They use seasoned bread crumbs for the croutons. I just need to talk about my experience last night on Valentine's Day. My 7 year old daughter really wanted a heart-shaped pizza. I called several places and Selden pizza was the first one who said that they had them last night. we have never had issues with your food before. When I was on the phone, I heard someone in the background say that it was two dollars extra to make the shape of the heart. I have had heart-shaped pizzas before that were beautiful. Last night we received a pizza with one slice taken out at the top to make a deranged shape. It looked terrible. The dough was soggy. The meatballs were in edible. It was also ice cold, when it arrived. We wound up going to Cafe Amici and getting a regular pizza. My daughter was really upset. So was I to say the least. Based on the holiday and the taste of the food, it was probably the worst pizza experience of my life. I highly doubt I will ever use your restaurant again. I came here for a quick dinner to take home. I have been here before, but on this occasion in particular, I noticed the service was not what it once was. The restaurant has a dine-in area which has about 6 or 7 tables. Nothing too fancy by any means. My girlfriend and I were helped pretty quickly. I ordered a buffalo chicken slice and she ordered a small Greek salad. I was stunned at how long it took to finally pay for our food. I felt as if were being ignored for quite a while. The girl at the counter stood in front of us texting, and I can't say that's very good customer service considering we hadn't paid yet and we're waiting on paying. By the time we drove back home, the pizza was cold and the regular slice was somewhat tasteless. The buffalo chicken was average, lacking any sort of blue cheese or heat. So I decided tonight we would try a new pizza place. I searched on Yelp and this place had some good reviews. I told my husband to call and place the order. By 5:45pm he was off the phone. They told him 45 minutes. Well 2 hours later no one is here. He had called a over half hour ago and they told him the delivery guy was on his way that their ovens overheated from all the delivery's that called in. Yeah ok. Well now over 2 hours I called and they tell me the ovens broke and the delivery guy JUST left. Are you kidding me?! Here are my kids waiting to eat dinner, hours go by and now you're telling me you're delivery guy just left?! How about you call the people that placed orders and let them know what's going on? This place is more than just a pizzeria to me. Since we moved from Brentwood to Selden we needed to find a place to keep our Friday night family dinner tradition going. We stumbled upon Selden pizza and this has been home ever since. The food is amazing! I get the stuff shells, my wife usually gets the chicken parm, and our 8 year old gets the chicken tenders and fries. Let me tell you if you don't have kids it is hard to get your child to complete a full meal, but when it comes to these tenders "the best I ever had" the words of my kid, he eats the entire plate. Since our first trip we have probably been back 60x in the past 2 years and we have been recommended many new items off the menu things that they may be experimenting on and want opinions so me and my wife help them out and give them some feedback. I have yet to try a bad thing off their menu. Max the owner knows I'll try almost anything he recommends just NO MUSHROOMS. During the pandemic we still kept Friday night dinners going but with take out, and their delivery service is always on point. Best bang for your buck 60 dollars for four adults with leftover. Garlic knots are great not dry. Chicken parm was loaded with cheese and pretty well covers a large platter the bread had the middle dug out as to pack in the chicken and the sauce. Was a great choice read more

Everybody loved it and we said this is our new go to place for take out, and we spend a lot on take out ,because of a very busy schedule. So it's my wife's birthday, we were going to go to popies in Coram, but everybody was tired from our trek to Manhatten . We decided to order from selden restaurant. our order came and we sat down to eat ,the food tasted like it was prepared days earlier and my wife's dinner WAs inedible. My wife call selden restaurant, to voice he complaint ,and said she couldn't even eat her birthday dinner . The reply was thank for letting me know and that was it . Interestingly enough although it's called 'Selden Pizza' the Pizza is not their forte, Their pizza is on the bland side, and it's all due to the sauce that they use, it's tasteless. The flies on top of the pizzas in the display case don't help either. Anyone ever heard of a commercial UV bug zapper?... Fortunately the Greek food made to order is where this place shines, tasty falafels, wonderful huge gyros, these are the real stars of the show here.
