As someone who was accustomed to eating Thai food every day growing up, I was incredibly happy to find Sala Thai's food authentic, flavorful and delicious. Their 'Thai Hot' is spot-on, and their Prik Nam Pla is amazing - not just fish sauce with Thai chili peppers dropped in! So far, so good - got a pad thai and a panang curry to go to check competency. The pad thai was less "ketchupy" than I often see it elsewhere. This may indicate that they're doing the sauce from scratch, not some red goop from a bottle. It was tasty and a generous portion so it gets the thumbs up. The panang curry was a little more peanut-y and sweet than I'm used to, but it too was devoured. Staff was very friendly too. So this place earns some extra investigation to see if I can find some 5 star gems in the menu. The potential seems there. Interesting to note that not only do they make gluten-free dishes, but they will also make dishes without fish sauce. This seems like heresy to me but I'm sure others might be glad to hear it. read more

Awesome Thai food! Great value and portion size, but it is the taste that will win you over. I have tried quite a few items on the menu, and will continue until I get it all, but it is very difficult when every time I go back, I just want the last thing I ordered. Occasionally, there is even an option for a rare fresh fish dish(red snapper). You do have to take extra care to ensure you want it Thai hot; I don't think they believe people really want *Spicy* hot food! The one point of contention is that the interior ambience leans a little toward fast food, rather than up-scale restaurant. However, for me, that really doesn't matter. read more

I was told this place have good and affordable Thai food. So I decided to try it out. I ordered a lunch special of Panang curry. I have tried many curries before. I was surprised the curry was rather watery and limited vegetables. The lunch special comes with a choice of brown rice, jasmine rice or fried rice. Soup or salad is also given but the portion is very small. I would try the other food in the menu. The spice is not to my standard. I was expecting more spicy. read more

The food is good BUT they charge an extra $1.00 if you request cilantro in your food. They also charge extra for ANY change to the dish you order. My $7.00 bill went to $11.45 in a matter of minutes. NEVER going back. read more

A very nice find! This is some of the best thai that I have had in Colorado. To top this off the service there is amazing and the staff is super friendly. Don't judge this book by its cover however, because the outside and even the inside is slightly less than appealing. Visited for lunch today - $6.95 for an entree, cup of soup or salad, egg roll, and brown or white steamed rice. We walked in, and as soon as we were seated, the owner (I assume) asked "Salad or soup?" He then gave us our soup and egg rolls before we even ordered our main entrees with a joke about how much faster they were than McDonald's! It was true though - extremely fast and everything was still hot upon arrival. I ordered Pad See Iew with beef and my husband got Sweet and Sour Chicken. Both were delicious, although the coconut curry chicken soup that started our meal was hard to beat and the sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls was also "very good" (the owner said so, and we concur). This place is amazing! The food gives me cravings i have to give into more than most other places. I've tried many things and the Tom Yum hot pot is out of this world! I love the coconut soup too! The panang curry is my favorite too; delicious and i ask for hot. The owner is great and i love the server Raven. The owner always gives the kiddos ice cream after our meal. Panang was meh, not spicy, too sweet. Vegetables seemed like they came out of a mix bag. If you order an extra side of rice for $2.00 the amount looked about to be two and a half cups and the prices are priced well to the portions. Just don't expect supreme quality when dining here. read more

Great little Thai place in Windsor with decent prices. Their Thai style pot stickers in the peanut sauce are delicious. I also suggest the chicken slammers...they sound odd but are very delicious. My favorite dishes are Pad Woon Sen, Pad Thai, and Gingery. read more

Good Thai food for our little town. I love the Tom Ka and my wife may be addicted to the drunken noodles. The owner is hands on and very welcoming to return customers. The restaurant is small and service has always been good for us. There are other restaurants in town that do blanket Asian food (cover Chinese , Thai, Japanese, etc.), but there is a strength to focusing on one style of food. We will go back again. read more

This place is amazing I've been looking for my Thai place and I found it! Owner was so cool he's a goofy guy who you can tell takes pride his restaurant. He made us feel like regulars and had the whole place in conversation with each other and engaging which I appreciated. We started off with Chang beers there is a deal buy 2 get one free. Next we had the soup tom kah it was delicious. My husband got the drunken noodles which he inhaled he loved them so much and I got the pad Thai that's usually my test dish if the pad Thai Is good the restaurant it good... Surprise ...! What a great place. I came back to Windsor after 2 years and went back to Sala Thai immediately. You really shouldn't judge by the look since they don't do much decorations in this restaurant. But the food beats it! The curry is awesome! Duck curry with coconut rice is definitely the best ever! It's a must try! The good was out really fast.
