I found a diamond in Windsor, Colorado....Thai food in Windsor, I was skeptical...and pleasantly surprised! This little gem of a restaurant has a lunch menu for $6.99, you get an egg roll, soup, and your meal. I had the Cashew Nut, spice was perfect, veggies were fresh and rice was perfectly cooked! My husband and I just moved to Windsor and this is the first Asian place we tried. We ordered take out based on the pictures on their website. These pictures are NOT in any way a representation of the food they make. Our food looked nothing like these pictures and we felt they were very misleading. I've had a lot of Asian food and I just can't say I enjoyed what I got. My sesame chicken came in a clear, watery sauce. My husband's Thai Basil had tough and over cooked beef. Had lunch at Sala today. I ordered a lunch special. Was supposed to have white rice, cashews and beef with a salad. A number one on their menu. The salad came first which tasted just okay, but was served in a very small dish. Three bites and it was gone! Then the main dish came and was NOT good. The beef was tasteless and there were 3 small pieces. There were a total of 2 half cashew nuts in the entire dish and the rice was half a scoop. I mentioned my disappointment with the dish and the waitress said sorry and gave me the bill. No offer to right the wrong. I will not go back there. Horrible. read more

I'm very picky when it comes to Thai food, as it's rare to find an authentic place. Sala Thai is my favorite restaurant by a landslide. The owners are Thai, and there hasn't been a day we went that they haven't been there. My favorite dishes are the coconut soup and the L14, pork, spicy. The curries are wonderful. The spring rolls are fresh and fabulous. We go 2 times a week and it will never get old. read more

We've lived in Windsor almost 2 years and finally tried this Windsor gem! I'm new to Thai cuisine and have had some great dining experiences recently at Thai restaurants in other cities. We ordered takeout. App sampler, Yellow chicken Curry, and sesame lovers chicken. The apps were okay. The fried tofu was a bit greasy inside but the breading was super crispy. The yellow curry was phenomenal. The sesame chicken was a crispy fried helping of chicken with a light sesame sauce. Not a gooey coated mess like you'll get at Chinese restaurants. This will be my new go-to restaurant if I want something, delicious and healthy. Lots of vegetarian choices and I love the option of brown rice with most dishes. Can't wait to try more of the menu! read more

This is the BEST Thai cuisine in Colorado. I usually order the Prik king or drunken noodles. Today however i came for the thai noodle bowl soup / pho. Broth was very flavorful and i requested it be spicy. This is my favorite restaurant hands down. The owner Van is very friendly and will talk to the guests. He makes you feel like family. read more

Just moved to Fort Collins from out of state. Had a favorite Thai place in our town, and Sala Thai is as good or better than our OLD favorite! Good Thai food for Windsor, Greeley or Loveland area. Had the sampler platter and next time I would just go for the crab cream cheese wontons. They were creamy and just delicious. Husband had the house special spicy basil duck. He said it was good but wouldn't get it again as it's not the traditional Thai he is use to. I had the Panang Curry and thought it was great but it just needed some heat to it. They quickly provided a variety of hot sauces. Definitely a must try if you are wanting a Thai food fix. read more

I love the food here! So far after many visits I haven't found a dish I didn't like. However, I can't give it 5 stars since I have had the same issue twice, and once my brother had a piece of gravel show up in his rice. I asked for the Drunken Noodles to be mild, but twice has been much too spicy. Both times it was delivered, and the second time we didn't bother complaining. The first time we weren't treated very nicely, although another serving was delivered (still very spicy). I have had it mild, so I know it is possible. It is good enough to scrape off the peppers that I can see, though! I can't recommend delivery, but the dining room is pleasant enough if small. read more

This was the biggest rip off I've ever encountered in an Asian restaurant, or any restaurant period! We went to lunch there and in my father's "beef dish", he received a very thinly shaved peice of deli style roast beef, (the kind that you would pick up from your local King Soopers deli), sliced into four quarters. It was exactly and literally one thinly sliced piece of sandwich meat in something that was supposed to be authentic Asian cuisine. I myself payed 2.00 extra for shrimp with mine and received exactly and only four and a half shrimp in my dish. I have personally never been to ANY restaurant that allows this sort of thievery to take place. Our drinks even were two dollars each, four dollars total, for a small glass of tea and a small glass of Dr. Pepper. Each dish came with too few vegetables and a small dab of rice. We could have easily bought three or more times the amount of food for how much we spent on the two sad and insulting dishes we got at this train wreck of a restuarant. read more

Some of the worst Thai food I've ever put in my mouth. The pad Thai was so bad I had to send it back and get something else. The owner proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't order pad Thai since I "don't know what it should taste like" excuse me sir, I've had plenty of pad Thai in my life and know EXACTLY what it should taste like.
