I always love this place but the sandwich I just got was so nasty. It was a Thai chicken sandwich. Sandwich tasted really good except I couldn't figure out what the meat was in it. I know what it was supposed to be, but it was like mystery meat and I unrolled the wrap And it looks like nothing but gristle or undercooked chicken. I didn't bother to bring it back because I was turned off once I saw the meat so disappointed, especially for the price. I actually got a better sandwich at Wawa over the weekend. I don't eat a lot of fast food and I am very picky when I do. Salad House has been a great option in Toms River! I usually do a create your own bowl and it always comes out perfect. Try the blackened shrimp! The brown rice is always warm, and all the ingredients are fresh. I don't even need a salad dressing on my bowl that's how good it is. read more

First time eating at a Salad House and will be the last too. $13 for a wrap with over cooked dry steak, with no flavor. Not to mention it was filled 80% with lettuce, so basically only thing you can taste is lettuce and the wrap. Had better tasting wraps from WaWa! read more

absolutely MUST try if you are in the tom's river area!! first off, i thought this was a franchise of pizza hut because the signs looked kind of coinciding as for example - a dunkin and a baskin robins-type thing. it's not lol we got the brussels sprouts and cauliflower for the apps. Just had the most satisfying salads from The Salad House! We had one "build your own" spinach salad with Salmon. Ample, fresh and delicious with creamy balsamic dressing. The other was their REEL salad with mixed greens, edamame, crunchy noodles and ample Ahi Tuna. The dressing was just spicy enough and the entire salad was fresh and spectacular. We noticed their sign passing by to go to Cattus Island Park. Later, we checked Yelp and saw excellent reviews, so we gave it a try for lunch. Every aspect, especially the food and staff, was very good and friendly. We had the Falafel Bites for an appetizer and the customer favorite wraps of Crispy Mutha Clucka and Chipotle Chx. I love this place. I literally can't get enough of them. The people there are great with customers and they get orders out super fast! The specialty BBQ salad, fresh ingredients & nice balance of flavors. The Shrimp Teriyaki Grain bowl, super flavorful. We have also tried the hummus platter & buffalo chicken wontons...so good! It's all right. Got 3 salads ordered for pickup, wrong name on the order, maybe woman who took order should have asked for correct spelling. English was not her first language, so there was a bit of confusion at the pick-up counter. One ofnthe salads had Ahi Tuna which I love, but theirs had a really salty coating. I might try again, not in a hurry. read more

There are so many knick knacks on the walls to look at - lots of conversation starters! We enjoyed everything we ordered (the afternoon waffle section was a fun twist on a sandwich and proved you can have it all!) and are already scheming what we will have next time we come back!

And on my last day at the hospital, I asked the owner to cater breakfast for my coworkers as a way of me thanking them for being so welcoming & he went above & beyond with the variety of food & the amount of food he delivered far exceeded what I paid for! All the staff loved the pancakes, sausage, French toast, bacon, bagels, fresh fruit, etc. There was enough for 3 different units to eat!
