The salad is fresh but the service is poor. It is actually less than poor it is rude as per the Manager Jessica's attitude not only toward employees but customers as well. I witnessed her be very rude over a simple mistake made by the employee. She had put the salads in the paper bag wrong (there was a handful of random orders that had just come in). I wish on my most stressful day as a CPA my biggest stressful mistake to fix was rebagging salads. Today I had ordered a gallon on the Tractor Punch only to have my order cancelled minutes before I got there. I called to ask the issue if it was not having a container I had offered to go buy one. I was never told the juice was also not in stock. Jessica got very rude with me when I was trying to see what the issue was and if it could be rectified. even offering to spend my time and money to bring in a gallon container. She then told me there's no way to measure or weigh it all though that is one day. another way to simply do it even though it would have been an inconvenience to me to simply dive a gallon but how many 16 oz cups would make a gallon, very simple to figure this out with the help of google. I got no offer to figure this out as I had already driven 90 percent of the way to the store and I get the response "Well it's not my F*cking problem you drove here" I was so taken back and said it would be as I was not going to go home empty handed that the least they could do was offer me a complimentary drink in a cup for my trouble. On the phone this was never offered not till I got thr rest the way to the store while Jessica was still rude.. did allow the complimentary drink only to find out not only did they not have the gallon pouch for it to be transported (again I offered to go get my own gallon container and bring it in) and I turn around and there was no tea at all every single one was out of stock and this was at dinner time not within the timeframe of closing. no excuse. or mark them out of stock I'm sure she had more just didn't feel like making it. especially after how rude she was. I would be hesitant to keep this employee she's a horrible manager and rude to clients. she will look down on an employee making a salad and roll her eyes as if she's better than those beneath her. this is not the type of personality that should be in service. two times in one weeks I've experienced her having an attitude and I spend a lot of money here read more

I have seen a decline in this location over the past few years. Recently my past 3 times ordering have been incorrect. This past order was missing part of the order, my salad had the wrong ingredients, and the rolls were stale. When I called the store to ask for the soup I was missing to be delivered they put me through to the manager who said they can't do that. She did refund my order which I appreciate. You can tell that it was freshly baked and when I got home after 5-10 from saladworks, the roll was so warm. Soft and doughy on the inside and hard on the outside. I did feel like the bread was a little too hard on the outside, but I didn't mind it as much. At the counter, they had little treats. I picked up the chewy marshmallow with brown butter and sea salt gluten free. For only 220 calories, it was irresistible, tasting just like a rice crispy treat with a lot of marshmallow. Very frustrating process to order food at this location. NOT AT ALL LIKE OTHER SALADWORKS!! I ordered a Thai Chicken Salad which is always a safe bet at any other location. Here they give you a "shot" of chicken in a cup instead of mixing it in the salad and I only got like 5 pieces that was chewy and hard. I didn't discover they did this until I got home. I never have to check my order any where else because across the board you know what you are getting. My lettuce was saturated with dressing after I asked for a small amount and quite honestly the staff had a bit of an attitude. Although I appreciate that we have a Saladworks location right in Toms River, it is not the best one ever. I don't think this location gets as much traffic as some others, so it is not as fresh. It is located in a busier strip mall, however, that has other food options. Normally Saladworks is better than making salad at home because there is a high turnover with their veggies, so it stays fresh. It's still better than fast food, and I will still stop there on my way home from the Cherry Hill area. read more

What can I say about salad works that probably has not been said before? Who knows, I do not read all the reviews. I know that the only one I have been to is this one and it is pretty good. The salad is fresh, it is made right in front of you, and the people that work there are always pleasant. The only down side could be the price. When I decide that my fat a*# has had enough steak and ice cream and needs some rufage, I do not want to pay ten dollars for a salad. That being said, I am sure that wherever you go, if you want a nice crisp good tasting salad, you are going to pay that much. I have only been to the Toms River location twice and both times were mood altering experiences. The first time the process was extremely slow. You have 6 people behind the counter working on orders while one person is working the register and the phone. I was rushing back to the office on my lunch break due to the amount of time I spent in there. I figured the second time, let me order online and see if this goes faster. So a co-worker and I ordered online and I go in there. Again, 5-6 people making the orders. I skip to the front and go right to register expecting my order to be done and ready. Nope... one person on the phone taking an order and working the register and she seemed overwhelmed and I don't like seeing employees expressing frustration in front of other customers. She finally gets off the phone and they cant find my order, never went through the computer. They asked me what I ordered, I attempted to tell them and they ask what my co-worker ordered and I have no idea. However, this location has consistently disappointed me. Their lettuce is frequently wilted, the portion of toppings they give you on a create-your-own are humorous. They always are out of something, even though they seemingly are not all that busy. Their portion sizes never seem the same or consistent, as I went here with my mom once and her salad looked like they ran out of lettuce and didn't want to go in the back to get more. It was truly pathetic. I've called in orders before or ordered online and they are never ready when I get there, even when it's past the time they said it would be ready.
