It's quite a nice little salad shop. They have a ton of options for all lifestyle vegetarian, vegan, and keto. Every time I've been the shop is very organized and clean. Salad toppings are unlimited and I'm happy with the portion sizes it's a full meal. Came here about a week ago. I asked for a sandwich with no bacon (I don't eat pork) I asked if I was able to get the turkey club without it and the lady replied to me rudely saying "can't you just take it off" anyways after I said no I don't eat pork products. I am so disappointed to make this review. I was so excited to find this place, a restaurant with build your own salads that were decently sized and the chicken was delicious. The prices are high but for fresh healthy food I was willing to pay it. Today I was eating my salad and a saw something moving out of the corner of my eye and was greeted my an aphid moving around in my food. I visited this place to grab lunch and wished I had not wasted my time and money. Being my first time here I asked for help in understanding their menu. They have a huge sign at the entrance that reads "sandwiches" yet they dont sell any!!! This is as much help as I got from the guy at the register. He said nothing else and appeared to be dazing off into his own world! I ended up grabbing a chicken wrap and a fruit salad. The chicken was way dry and over cooked. It was dry and tough like pork. The fruit salad had mushy pieces of fruit and a significant amount of water on the bottom of the container. Honestly, I would not drive a block to get their food. Come on if you charge me $13 for a wrap and fruit you can at least give me fresh ingredients!! Very disappointing!! UPDATE TO JOSH'S RESPONSE: Josh, Thank you for your attempt to excuse poor quality! Also, I was right about you dazing off. Why would I make a comment when I was leaving if I had not opened my food items? Didn't want to cook around the holidays but looking for a healthier choice we decided to try this place before going to Streets of Bethlehem. It's nice and quaint salad bar. They have some pre made salads in the fridge if you don't want to make your own salad. We both got the unlimited salad and soup. There is no meat or tuna, if you want you can purchase them separately and they come in a small container slightly larger where you put condiments in. The soups I tried were the chili bean and clam chowder. Both were good but nothing to rave about. They have a lot of options some looked fresh, others not so fresh... Since it is a local diner and not a chain they do not have people cleaning after your dishes every time you finish with a plate.. You're requested to put your dirty dishes in a container near the beginning of the salad bar line. read more

I love salad bars. Unfortunately... for this being basically JUST a salad bar... there wasn't a whole lot of offerings. They also do soup. SOUP The soup upgrade was an additional $1.50. The soups were nothing to write home about: Chicken & rice and a Navy Bean soup (I wouldn't even touch Navy Bean soup with your spoon). Went with the Chicken & rice which was bland, and oddly sweet tasting. They also had "chili". Tried their chili. Just tasted like Dennison's chilli from the can. Nah. SALAD BAR The Round Table salad bar is better than this, plus for the lunch special at Round Table you get all you can eat salad AND pizza! They didn't even have cottage cheese here. I guess most people wouldn't even notice but I love cottage cheese as it helps fill in as a dressing with less calories and more protein (not that I really care). *** The worst part of this salad bar.... the proteins cost extra (and they just came in tiny little cups). Cheap much? I was expecting this to have an array of proteins to choose from since this was focused around the salad bar. They just had diced ham and bacon. The only pluses at the Salad Shoppe salad bar were there was a black bean and corn topper and a couple of decent pasta salads. Forgettable though. Want to know the worst part about this whole experience? My buddy who I went with had an immediate stomach ache and threw up right after we ate. We think it was the Honey Mustard Dressing. That was the only thing he had that I didn't have. Salad bar was $10 too. Most salad bars are around $6-$8. Decent concept. Horrible execution. read more

I have been going here for years, before the pandemic there was always a Hispanic lady working which felt like all the time. She was extremely nice, friendly and great to everyone there. The environment was always relaxing & inviting. Today I went in for the first time since Covid and a older white lady was there. Upon arriving she never greeted me or my family. I walked up to counter to pay first and she tells me that I need to get my food first (telling me kind of like I was stupid) which is weird because I've always just told the last person what I'm getting & she'll ring me up so I can set my things & get my food. Anyways upon paying I tell her I'll get the soup as well, she asks my bf aggressively & pushy hm you're not getting anything for you? Judging us already like she thought we'd "share" a plate. I paid for the Dine in salad portion where you can go up for seconds which includes a soup portion as well. After eating my first, I went up to her to ask on the second plate because I saw a sign that said we must grab another plate (Covid and all) which I get. She tells me again rudely like I'm stupid, "yes you will need to get another plate" & tells me "just so you know when you buy the all you can eat salad & soup it's for YOU, we don't encourage sharing" I felt so humiliated & disgusted by her. I was there with my boyfriend & my 1 year old. He wasn't that hungry so decided not to get anything. When I went to the soups they had 2 that I wasn't a fan of so I saw they had a sausage one that maybe my boyfriend and little one could have a taste at. I didn't even serve it all the way. (Again I paid for a soup with my salad) that's the only thing he ate along with my little one eating a blueberry muffin that came with my meal. It's not like I ransacked the food and was like let's get 2 of each and keep going up for more refills. I didn't like the soup so he ate it for me. It wouldn't have made a difference either way. I don't know if she assumed the second plate was for him but it wasn't. Im pregnant & was very hungry & craving a salad. She seemed very judgmental & racist towards us. Everyone else who walked in after us was white and older & she'd greet them like they were friends. (Me and my family were Hispanic and on the younger side) it didn't feel like a great or welcoming environment.
