It's been a long time since I've been disappointed with a salad that I've gotten at Saladworks. I specifically called to order an oriental chicken salad because I don't like spicy chicken or I don't even know what else they put on the other chicken salad in any go take a nap of them. apparently I got an Asian chicken salad that I brought home and now basically don't have dinner which has Romaine lettuce spinach spring mix here and there. I'm not quite sure What's even going on with this salad. In addition to an unsavory salad, (it tastes like wine beans cake things which I also don't eat and I don't eat spicy chicken, which is why I called and ordered the salad that I did in any event be very wary of what you order and make sure you got the right food to go. This is happening to me before and it's very frustrating. They did however offer to give me another salad for free how kind of them since I'm obviously not eating the salad that I paid for so I don't really feel like I'm getting a free salad. I feel like I'm getting a replacement and hopefully this time actually get the replacement. A free salad, what a joke, I wanted what I ordered tonight and now I'm hungry and l cranky and hooray, it's Cambells chicken noodle soup yet again. As I've been home recovering from surgery. Cheap on the toppings. A pinch of each one or a half scoop instead of a whole. I wanted to give them another go and I wonder if they get written up for giving the customer a fair amount instead of 3-4 pieces of cheese, a couple Slivers of cucumbers for the charge of buying 3 whole cucumbers, and iceberg lettuce . Why not some romaine since you can't provide good quantities on the toppings? I was in the area so decided to try some salad. The reviews are not very good but I must say I had a pretty spot experience. They have a large variety of options you can try. You can either build your own salad or choose one of the options they have. The service was great, everyone was very helpful in helping me decide what to add in the salad. You might be a little overwhelmed with the amount of options, so maybe take a peek at the menu before so you can have an idea of what you'd like. The place looked spotless which is a plus. They also offer limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. They also have different soup and some cookies available. I would definitely come back! Probably the most flavorless salad and soup that I've ever had in my life. The hair that I found on my plate didn't add anything either. We ordered three different entrees including Sophie's salad, soup and salad, and create your own grain bowl. We all agreed they were just awful, honestly, and we regretted going here. Very dissatisfied with the customer service at this location on Schoenersville Rd in Bethlehem, PA. She was very unpleasant and acted if she had an attitude or was in a rush, it took 5 mins before we were even greeted. I spent nearly $100 on my order and one item was missing and instead of being treated as a valued customer whom used this location numerous times I was given attitude, talked to rudely and was even harassed. My phone number was obtained from the store caller ID and I was contacted by the employee on her personal phone. She called my phone twice and when she received no response she then proceeded to send multiple rude and degrading messages. read more

New to the area, never been to a Saladworks. Walked in and was pleased with the layout of the fresh salad ingredients. They looked lush and fresh! Soo many to choose from. You can choose from about a dozen salads that they have recipes for, or you can create your own. I opted for the Buffalo chicken salad and it was fresh and tasty, there was too much bleu cheese. I like bleu cheese, but the broad behind the counter either thought I was sexy or cute or was randomly feeling generous. I kid you not when I say she put an ENTIRE CUP of bleu cheese crumbles on my salad! Yucky! Too much! Other ingredients were delish. I checked out and the clerk pitched thier "rewards" card promo and asked me if I wanted a wheat or white roll. Wow, unexpected. I opted for the wheat roll. Was craggy, and soft, with a little bit of a nice crunchhhie texture on it. Seemed like a fresh bakery roll. Not frozen. Was pleased ! Perfecf compliment to try to balance out all the bleu cheese! ;) The resturant was clean and bright and I will be back. I took off 2 stars for TOO MUCH BLEU CHEESE (oh PU ! ) and for the PRICE! Are you serious? Was the cashier serious when the total came to over 10 bucks for a salad, roll and diet coke. Oh no thank you. Great experience -- PRICE IS UNREASONABLE AND IRRATIONAL!! Good salad but terrible staffing. Stopped by here to pick up a quick dinner for the first time. We read that the salad bowls can be half greens and half grains, which we ordered and they were confused by what we meant even though it's clearly on their board. And then the manager comes over, stares at the board looking confused...was it their first time looking at their own board? And finally they said they could make a grain bowl for us with some lettuce added, and said it would take an extra 15 min. We said just forget it and just make it an all greens salad. Geesh, didn't think it would be that complicated to order something from their own menu. Not going again. read more

I wanted to give 3.5, just to be clear. :-) Aside from the obvious, they offer sandwiches and soup as well. I had their signature Chicken Monterey and their Maryland Crab soup. The sandwich was well prepared with ample (if not too thick) chicken. The chicken was in layers, but all on top of one another without folding, creating a pretty thick bite of meat. The vege's and sauces chosen were a nice complement to the poultry and properly-crisp focaccia bread. I'd give the sandwich a 3.8 The Maryland Crab was more the state than the crustacean. A thick, spicy broth with corn and other vegetables and an apparent hint of crab. I wouldn't order it again, for sure. I'd give the soup a 3 at best. So I ended up with a Sandwich and Soup for over $12. That was a little disturbing. I'll gladly pay that in a sit-down 3-4 star... but not in a chain. I would have appreciated the feeling of a combo too- everything is ala carte. I'd give the cost a generous 3.5 The restaurant was very clean and decently appointed. Think smaller Panera with 25% of the menu. I'd give the building and menu a 3.5 Trust me, I prefer fresh, crisp, and healthy over burgers almost any day... but I'll probably look around a bit before I revisit this tasty, but over-priced eatery. read more

Extremely disappointed in the quality of my salad. I can't believe I paid $12 for something that barely had any lettuce on it, half frozen tomatoes, burnt bacon bits, and one that was smothered in a ridiculous amount of dressing. Salad is usually a pretty safe option for eating more low-carb, healthfully. Saladworks offers such an array of salads and "design your own" options you really can't go wrong. The location is convenient to my office and is always clean and inviting. The ingredients are fresh and their soup selection is usually pretty great. I've never tried their wraps, so I can't comment on those. For those that want a quick, healthy lunch option, this is the place. Make sure to get one of their new swipable loyalty cards to earn freebies. Ahh, and if you're a fan of fresh iced tea - it's very good here. Only downside to the place is the price. It's definitely not a "daily" lunch affair, in my opinion. More like a 2 to 3x per month treat. read more

I really enjoyed my lunch at this place, te first time I ordered a COB salad ( healthy but not so healthy with the bacon haahah) and it was DE LI CIOUS! The service is great, the people that works there are fast and kind I really liked that and the second time I ordered ... I generally really enjoy this Saladworks. The food is good and quality is consistent. I am, however, very disappointed in their pricing recently. I ordered the fire roasted cabo salad and asked to substitute the dressing for cucumbers. I've done this in the past with no problems. This time, it was decline and I needed to pay extra. I don't have a problem with paying for upgrades/additions but in this case the total # of toppings was the same when you include the dressing. The extra cost? $0.99 for 10 thin slices of cucumber. TEN slices. Seriously?! I can but any entire cucumber for $0.99. I'm all for making a buck but this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

While traveling for business, I try to eat healthy. I noticed this place across from my hotel and thought I would give it a shot. I jumped online and placed my order. The food was ready VERY promptly and all fresh ingredients. The only beef I had is that for the $8.00 for a "make your own" salad, I felt I was shorted a little. My work colleagues and I order from this place at least once a week. I get the Tivoli Salad (pasta noodles, lettuce, deli choices, etc.) and a side of Parmesan Ceaser dressing.and they give you a free bread bun. Very nice- tastes great and really fresh. They also have a great selection for GLUTEN sensitive individuals (including soups). Just ask and they will tell you all you can choose from! I have never been inside the establishment or connected with the staff- so I can't comment on that. You're looking at $7 to $10 for a salad. read more

Nobody at this location can make the same salad consistently. The employees struggle with what size dressing conntainers to give when it's oomph the side. One person will give you chips and a pickle, then the next one says pickles are extra. The worse person behind the counter is the man with the beard at this location. He is rude to the other employees and snippy with customers. I only pick up food for my wife, I won't eat their stuff. I dread going in there to get an order to go because of the inconsistency on what's included, and what's an extra charge. Get it straight people!! Went to Nazareth location last week and ordered the tivoli salad and was very pleased with what i got. It was a decent portion and felt like I had got my money's worth. The employees were so nice and accommodating where as today i went to the Bethlehem location, and did not have the same experience at all. I ordered the same tivoli salad and had received barely half of what i got previously. The lettuce was not chopped at all and I didn't receive like any meat which is what's included in a majority of the salad. I also asked for my dressing on the side and the employee rolled her eyes (because it was such an inconvenience). Meanwhile i paid 20$ for 2 salads which were not worth it at all. Food is fresh. Salads are made fast and there are plenty of choices to choose from. I like how they also have soups as well. I personally prefer the create your own salad as I'm not a big fan of the specials that they have but that's just my personal preference. I will never eat here again. Normally, the experience is ok. The staff here are courteous, but the food is bland and expensive. I mean, I'm never still hungry after I eat here, but I can get a better salad right next door at Potbelly's and it costs less. Today, however, I was waiting in like forEVER, as is typical during the lunch rush, and I ended up leaving my food at the register. While the girl was mixing my salad, she was holding the bowl against her apron, which was visibly soiled, and my food was rubbing against her dirty apron, this contaminating my food with God-knows-what. Sure, it might just be food from the salad bar on that apron, but what if it's not? What if she took the trash out while wearing her apron? What if she cleaned the bathroom while wearing her apron? What if that apron has been soiled since Monday and the bacteria on it has been festering for days? I don't know! While it was happening, I brought it to her attention, yet the behavior continued. She didn't even try to correct it, and she did not offer to remake the salad. I just stared, wide-eyed and horrified as my food kept touching the filth. And to top it off, her female coworker next to her glared at me like I was in the wrong. When I got to the register, I told the cashier (who I suspect might also be a manager or assistant manager) and he offered to make a new salad, but I just could not. (He was very nice, by the way.) Just for the record, this is the second time this has happened. I know, I know, I would be appalled if I knew what goes on in restaurant kitchens. Yes, I know. I have been getting salads here for myself and my family about 3 times a week for the past year. We love the Create-Your-Own Salads because we can get only what we like, and we can control the fat and calorie content. They have a big variety of salad items, including dressings. I usually order our salads online, and then go pick them up. They have a separate pick-up line so that you usually can get in and out quickly. Of all the restaurants my family and I frequent, this Saladworks is the most accurate at filling our orders. The owners are almost always behind the counter, and they are excellent at overseeing the business's operation. I eat here a few times a week. The employees are very efficient and nice and the ingredients could not be fresher. The rolls are actually freshly baked and not stale from sitting around. The brewed unsweetened iced tea is delicious and the place is very clean. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. Let me start off by saying, I've never been a big Salad Fan... I'm very picky about what goes on my salads, what kind of dressing, and even about the type of lettuce. So needless to say, if I try a more extravagant salad while out at a restaurant, I'm very particular about it. Now that the intro is out of the way, I can go on to say that I was VERY pleased with my lunch experience at Saladworks this week. Not surprisingly, they have a large selection of "specialty salads" with each one made up in the display case so you can actually SEE what you're ordering. (There's nothing worse then having to read the description of each salad on a wall menu 10 feet away...) I decided to go with the "Bently" salad, and chose to top it off with a bright green dressing called "Green Goddess", which is actually a kind of garlic ranch, and was SO good! One thing I can't stand is when all the dressing is sitting on top of a salad and the lettuce at the bottom doesn't get any of it. Well, at Saladworks they spend a good deal of time mixing around the salad contents and dressing which was great! Since this was my first time there, the service line actually went a bit fast for me, as I was still looking around and deciding what I wanted. (This speed will be a plus in the future when I'm in a hurry!) Along with the salad, you get a white or wheat roll so you're not entirely carb free all afternoon, which is nice. I paid $9 for the salad, roll, and fountain soda, which was a BIT much for a lunch. I wouldn't go here every day, but it will be a good nutritious lunch to have once in a while. Besides salads they do offer paninis, wraps, and soup so even if you're less of a salad person than me you could still find something to eat. Just a note - I came in around 1:00 and most of the crowd had already died down but I've heard this place is packed earlier in the day so you should plan accordingly. I was never ate at saladworks so it was a great promotion to get customers and/or new potential customers like me into Saladworks. I ordered a mandarin chicken salad and two nut cookies for take out. When I got home and started to eat my salad I noticed that none of the ingredients for mandarin chicken were in my salad. No mandarins, no cucumbers, no cranberries and no chow mein noodles. What I got was their Mediterranean salad. Most likely the girl didn't hear me correctly. Mandarin chicken and Mediterranean really sound the same? The Mediterranean salad was good and all the ingredients were in the salad. The two nut cookies were fresh, good but a little to sugary and pricy for my taste. One was enough. I checked out salad prices and they too are pricy, same for the soups. Healthier than other fast food establishments but prices would limit my patronage. read more

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. This was our first visit on a Saturday night. I had a half salad and soup. The vegetarian chili soup was great, yes it was spicy and a create your own salad. My wife had a half sandwich and a create your own salad. She said the chicken Mozzetta half sandwich was excellent. They serve a great low calorie meal. New in town and decided to try out Saladworks since they were recommended by co workers. When you walk in it looks clean and the staff were pleasant. After ordering 1 salad with the choice of toppings, 1 creamy tomato soup, 1 half salad with choice of toppings and 1 baked potato soup everything seemed all and well. Come to find out the price ended up being around almost $29. Let me add that I was NOT impressed. The tomato soup tasted worse than Chef Boyardee's sauce so that was around $4 wasted. The soup was too thick and not creamy. The salads were just okay. The baked potato soup was just okay but I've had better. All and all this was too expensive of a meal to just be "OK". Therefore I will no recommend this establishment and I will not be stopping by into any Saladworks. read more
