I've haven't been back here for awhile, and what a change since my last visit! The inside looks so different--like it's been completely redone. I really liked the new decor and the atmosphere inside. The service was great; we had an attentive server, but we did have to ask him to come over once because he forgot my friend's guacamole but still was checking on how satisfied we were. The food was much better than I remembered. I got veggie quesadillas, and they were great. I also tried deep-fried ice cream, though the ice cream wasn't in a casing around the batter; I still enjoyed it. Overall, it was a much better experience than my last visit. My sister and I were looking for dinner and this was Plan B. She had visited this place before once with a group of her neighbors, so she wanted to try it again. It was a bit of a drive from where she lived, but I enjoyed the experience. They have a nice parking area, and it was fairly crowded - always a good sign. We were shown to a nice table in the middle of the restaurant, which is nicely decorated. They had a margarita special, but I ordered a mojito, which I found refreshing on a warm evening. We ordered from the menu - chimichangas for me and burritos for her. I also ordered a Chile rellano as a side. Our dinners came quickly, but we both ate some tortilla chips and salsa first. My sister said she enjoyed hers, but I didn't expect or care for the generous helping of the sauce they poured all over my main dis as well as the Chile rellano. My attempts at scraping the sauce off was unsuccessful, but I tried my best. Overall the place was all right, Howe the sauce on my dinner played havoc with my digestion and stomach for the next two or three days. Went and Saturday night and the experience was terrible. Waitress took order and it took 10 minutes to just bring glasses of water. The real problem was having to wait over an hour for our mediocre meals. Restaurant was busy, but most tables didn't have food & people were getting annoyed, even walking out. I'm wondering if it changed hands as this is the second time in a month that the service and food stunk. Have been going here since they opened, but going to take a long break from going here. It's literally in the name--tacos y tequila go get some and enjoy! I shared the birria tacos with my husband and they were tasty! The consume was just ok, I've had it tastier elsewhere. The white rice it came with was really yummy-well cooked, soft and fluffy. I also tried the barbacoa taco by itself and enjoyed it with the sauce that came on the side, it was tiny so be sure to order 2 or more depending on your appetite! The ambience was pretty busy and loud on a Friday night which is typical. If you're looking for a chill spot with friends and good tacos--this is your spot. Ate here with a large group. No reservation on a Friday night (haha). They accommodated us as best they could and we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Waitress was friendly. Service was quick and food arrived faster than expected. To be honest the dozen of us all ordered something different, but the plates all looked exactly the same when they came out! Everyone thought their meal was good. I had steak meat in mine and it was amazingly seasoned. I would certainly eat here again but with the expectation that this is a casual fast foodie kind of place. Not fine dining, not gourmet. Tasty food served up quick from the big vats in the back. Great food, poor service. We waited at least twenty minutes to be seated on an evening where it wasn't very crowded, during which time we had to repeatedly ask for updates because multiple staff were milling about at the hostess stand while they kept telling us no one was available to clear tables. At one point they offered us a high top, but it was a special occasion and my grandmother really wanted a booth, so we were willing to wait, but almost walked out because of the poor service and aimlessness of the staff. My grandmother asked for a manger at one point and the girls said none were available. Good service looks like a friendly greeting, can-do attitude, proactive communication, and ultimately someone simply stepping up to clear a table (just removing a few dishes and wiping it down; it isn't rocket science). So this was ultimately disappointing. Having worked in food service, this could've been a very simple fix. When we sat down we were all a bit grossed out by the fact that our seats and the table were noticeably wet from someone Lysoling everything. Everything felt kind of sticky after that, and our seats remained damp, which, coupled with the noisy atmosphere and lack of personal attendance from staff, didn't make for great atmosphere overall (though I'm glad they sanitize). It felt partially like a cafeteria/half sports bar. Our waitress didn't introduce herself and didn't show much interest in serving us despite us being friendly. Misc. wait staff floated in and out with dishes throughout our time there, but no one really seemed genuinely friendly or like they really cared. We repeatedly had to ask for things like app plates and chips, and long periods of time passed before we were attended to during parts of our dinner. Overall just very spotty, inconsistent service. Basic margarita was cloyingly sweet. Others in our party enjoyed different margaritas but had to order side shots to get the taste right. Food was overall solid with generous portion sizes; would order again. OMG nachos were delicious (although someone sprinkled cheese throughout, which wasn't part of the recipe, and we had a dairy allergy at the table). Good fish tacos, which can be hard to find in the area. Overall, sad to give this place two stars, but the service quality earned that rating (not the food). Might consider returning for takeout, but would not have stayed in the first place if it wasn't "for grandma" who wanted to treat us, as the service was so off-putting. read more

OMG!! I couldn't help it I went back lol this time my mom came with my husband and I . She absolutely loved the food and drinks . She order the Piña Loka, I order salmon tacos with refried beans instead of the cilantro rice and my husband got the molcajete Azteca with cilantro rice. Of course we got the Texas margarita pitcher the flavor was passion fruit. Service was quick and it's a Saturday night . Music wasn't loud you can hear each other talk and very clean . Ate with my family of four tonight. I ordered 3 Street Taco's, Wife and Daughter Fajitas, plus a chicken quesadilla. All food was really very good, no complaints at all. The street tacos soft wrap was excellent and i like how they double stack them for some strength so you can pick up the taco without having it fall apart. This review is only for the bar portion of the place. When staying at the holiday inn up the street and looking to get a beer in walking distance there is a golf bar that closes at 9(no cars in parking lot), the Olive Garden which closes at 10 and this tacos place that closes at 10. Of course I went to the bar at the Olive Garden! JK do Olive Gardens have bars in them? This taco place had a nice selection of bottles and drafts at reasonable prices. They also brought out chips and salsa even though I told them I was just grabbing a drink at the bar. I always like it when places do something simple like that. The staff from hostess to bartender were friendly. Also the beer mugs were nice and frosty which is awesome and so lost on most places these days. If I'm back in this area for work I will swing by again and try some food as well. read more

We had a great time here and good food. The bar area is colorful and environment is definitely up beat. The nachos Texan pollo and that volcanic rock cauldron is crazy hot but over all the food was good. Our server was also a bartender she was on point and friendly. Drinks Malibu sunset, pina colada, Remy Martin cognac and coke. They had the good stuff. Staff was so friendly and the crowd was cool and laughing, everyone seemed to like that hot volcanic cauldron. It is with great disappointment that I write this review. I have written two glowing reviews about this establishment, however, this will be my first negative review. My party of 6 descended on this restaurant Sunday 12 at 4:30 pm. We ordered guacamole for the table, el jefe enchiladas, carne asada, shrimp chimichangas, pina loka, and quesa rellenas. Upon receiving our order we found out that the guacamole was plain and not spicy, the pina loka was flavorless, the chimichangas were soggy and not crisp and the carne asada was at room temperature. I realize it was early Sunday night, but these entrees should have stayed in the kitchen. My dinner party was very disappointing. read more

We had a great experience at Tacos Y Tequila! This was a celebratory dinner for Charlene who received a promotion. Our dinner was top notch for our celebration. Empanadas as an appetizer chicken and beef, served with special sauce...Delicious! For our main course I had Sopa de Mariscos, A variety of seafood: shrimp, scallops, tilapia, octopus, crab legs and clams, with mixed vegetables...Amazing! Charlene had Bandera, Three enchiladas, chicken, beef and cheese, one topped with spinach sauce, one topped with enchilada sauce and one topped with cheese sauce. Served with Mexican rice and beans...Wonderful! Our server Trevor was super attentive, pleasant and very accommodating! Margaritas were outrageous! My mother and I come here at least once a week. The reason? First off, the food here is absolutely out of this world. We love Mexican food and it is always good. Their street tacos combined with their homemade salsa ( spicy pineapple is our favorite) are what keep us coming back. Second, it is always consistent with the service. We always notice the same servers when we come. That is a sign of great management that the staff doesn't change. All servers who have taken care of us are warm, friendly, and attentive. The environment is clean and Milton, the manager, always stops by to say hello and make sure that we are good. Even the food runners have a warm smile. I work in the restaurant business and have for the last 22 years of my life. This is a great place and worth giving a try. Everyone has an off day, but Tacos Y Tequila in Easton has them few and far between. read more

Ive heard of this place for a long time and never gave it a chance but glad i did. The wait was 30 minutes on the Saturday before 5/5 but we got our drinks, appetizer, and food within 15-20 after ordering. Serving sizes were way more than expected. I had a margarita that was larger than expected as well and very strong which is what i like. Good service, atmosphere, and great food. Highly recommend. read more

Not only am I half Mexican but I'm a foodie. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The selection of items, the taste of the food, the pricing and their raspberry margaritas are all top notch. While me and hubby like a variety a different foods from every ethnicity, including steak houses, seafood restaurants and just good old American comfort foods this restaurant is the most frequent in our rotation. We have introduced this restaurant to other friends and family and everyone loves it. As a collective group there hasn't been anything on the menu that anyone has not liked. My favorite as well as hubby's is the Paisano, you can get chicken or ribeye steak, we get the steak. It is on the thinner side but large, sautéed with onions and a mild pepper of some kind which is not hot ( surprisingly I do not like really hot or spicy food) but does add to the delicious flavor of this meal. Although fresh mushrooms are suppose to be one of the sautéed veggies with this we opt for no mushrooms. They then drizzle this thin layer of white queso on the top and add 3-4 jumbo perfectly cooked shrimp on the top served with authentic Mexican rice and frijoles ( authentic Mexican beans). White flour tortillas are also provided with this platter. So- FREAKING-good! The complimentary chip and salsa pairs great with the white queso dip ( I have never tasted any better.. a must try) and their already made guacamole is delicious! No need for the guacamole made table side which is double the price. Their house made margaritas are delicious $8 and $12 for a jumbo which are huge, so huge me and hubby share. Our favorite is the house raspberry margarita with sugar around the rim. Monday's are Margarita Monday's for half off the house margaritas. Taco Tuesday's it's $2 small street tacos. Even at full price you can't go wrong... one of our favorite restaurants! read more

We came back after tubing and wow okay they were able to serve I think it was 11 of us. Very good service, our waiter was able to deal with our attempts to speak the Spanish for giggles. It was kind of a weird service, sometimes not all plates were put out, or waters, but the food was worth it. The guacamole is absolutely bomb, really good. You know they use those fatty avocados, those are the best. I love the way it's creamy and it's got the right level of spice on a warm tortilla chip and the chip isn't too salty, just the way I like it. As a vegan, you're able to customize veg dishes and stuff so fajitas sin crema por favor. What a great place to dig in, definitely got the itis. This building is free standing with its own parking lot and located next to the Olive Garden. There was plenty of parking when we came. Upon entering, the bar is directly in front of you with the dining area to the right. They brought out chips and salsa to the table and they were delicious. We ordered margaritas & Coronas, the Corona was obviously fine but the margaritas wasn't all that spectacular to the flavors. We had ordered the pomegranate & mango. The mango tasted better but I'd still prefer the mango flavor to be more distinctive. I forget what my friends ordered but I ordered the steak fajita and it was good but nothing special. Both of my friends liked their meals. I would come back to try it again for sure. The restaurant just didn't stand out to me and felt like your typical Mexican restaurant. Visited on Monday, January 9th for dinner. I honestly have not been here in a awhile and was pleasantly surprised. My food was delicious and everything was fresh. We had guacamole/salsa and chips, enchiladas and street tacos. Prices are excellent for the amount of food you get. Our waitress was Ruth. 3 stars is average right? My boyfriend and I went here for a quick improv date night. He got the California fish tacos and I got the suizas enchiladas. Over all, it was fine. My boyfriend wasn't a fan of the aioli sauce on his tacos and I felt my enchiladas could've used more tomatillo sauce. But overall, it was fine. The chips and salsa were good! The server was nice and attentive and the fried ice cream had some nice coconut shavings with it. Overall, nothing to rant and rave about. Worst experience to date. And the manager was right there; teaching the new bartender how to mistreat a customer. My husband and I walked in and sat at the bar. The manager was showing the bartender something behind the bar. Neither ever acknowledged our presence. They continued to talk and want down the bar. My husband and I decided to get up and go get a table. At that point they decided they were finished with whatever they were doing. The manger went to the front. We told him the we were going to get a table because we sat at the bar without anyone saying anything. He said he was showing the bartender something. After explaining my upset he replied with 'whatever'. It was that point my husband and I decided we were but going to give this establishment our money. Pretty good Mexican food for the area! Tried the Baja fish tacos, nice little kick to them. The others got the steak shrimp and chicken quesadillas and absolutely loved them. Also, the TYT Mule for a drink is delicious! It's not too sweet and might be the best mule I've had. read more
