No big complaints just need to be careful and mindful when wiping the counter right over the open salad dressing. Sanitary is key.

We ordered from here and got a turkey club salad with NO bacon and they gave us a turkey club salad with bacon and no turkey. We also ordered a create your own with iceberg lettuce and roasted peppers and got romaine lettuce and regular chopped peppers. Very disappointed in the service here. read more

First of all I would like to say this is nothing against the staff. All the girls that work there that night that I was in worked very hard and were customer service oriented and helpful. They answered any questions any of the guests had. With that being said I ordered a combo half chicken Parmesan Panini and a half salad. I have never been to a place where they give you chicken Parmesan made with lunch meat, cheese and tomato sauce. I was utterly disgusted now I know better than to go to a salad place and order chicken Parm but with that being said I have never seen that before.....it was disgusting. So whoever thought it was a good idea needs to be fired! I ordered with the combo and 1/2 salad and it was dressed with Caesar dressing enough for an entire salad! read more

This particular Saladworks was recently reopened by the franchisee from the Collingswood location that I used to frequent. The staff at Delran Saladworks are equally friendly and fast - a big plus since that line can get pretty long during prime lunch hours. The cafe was bright and clean, though I took my salad to go. All of the ingredients were really fresh. My only gripe is the salad dressing part of the line. Two huge scoops of dressing is way too much for the size of the salads (which seem to get smaller as the years go by - remember the big seafoam green bowls from Saladworks of yore?). The person in charge of dressing should probably ask "one scoop or two?" Sounds silly, but she was so fast I didn't have time to ask her to stop, as I watched her dump the second onto my salad, which was swimming in italian vinaigrette when I got home. Dressing aside, this Saladworks is better than most and I'll likely return next time I have a craving and I'm in the area. read more

If you've never been to a Salad Works Cafe, here's the deal. There's a glass case inside that is full of fresh ingredients. The front of the case lists salad names and their component ingredients. You order the salad of your choice, and the order taker assembles it from those fresh ingredients. Your salad will probably cost around $8.50 - $9.00. They also have a few sandwich and soup selections. We've been here a few times lately. The salad ingredients always look and are fresh. I've never been unhappy with the portions or quality of the salads. Consistently, however, the customer service leaves much to be desired. The employees seem to be brisk towards all the customers, as the customers are keeping the employees from fraternizing with each other. What a nuisance the customers are to this food service business! I'm pretty easy going and am not looking for valet or concierge service, but the long faces and abrupt answers really gets old here. The dressing was pasty, the chicken was bad, I was overcharged (I ordered three salads and was only given two rolls) and the list is longer. Great place to eat if you want to lose weight ... 'cuz you'll probably lose your lunch after you watch them prep it. I don't usually review chain restaurants. In fact, I've never reviewed a chain restaurant. But this one stood out to me - for all the wrong reasons. I ordered a salad from a girl who, while friendly, wasn't really listening and didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Everyone in line had to repeat their orders to her several times before she got them. While this girl made the salad, a young guy was restocking the items on the salad line. More than once, I saw him wipe his nose - using his glove! - then return to restocking food items. That made me look at everyone else's hands and I realized that only about half of the people handling the food were wearing gloves. Thankfully, the people who were handling my salad were wearing gloves and this boy hadn't touched anything I'd ordered. Otherwise, I'd have just left. After I ordered my salad, I also ordered a small soup. The girl behind the register - who had just been handling money - simply stepped over and ladled my soup into a container. Or rather, she ladled the soup into the container and all over the sides of it as well. She stared at the mess for a little bit, then simply snapped on the lid and threw the whole thing into a paper bag. Then she asked me whether I wanted a wheat or white roll. I responded, "A wheat roll with butter, please." It wasn't until I got home that I saw she'd forgotten the butter. However, I did notice (how could I not?) that she'd thrown the roll (loose) into the same paper bag as that mess of a soup. While she was ladling the soup I'd ordered, yet another glove-less employee walked out of the back carrying a different soup pot, then proceeded to set it into the holder, switch the ladle from the old pot to the new one, and then stir the new one. All told, I was so shocked and disgusted that as soon as I left the store, I called and asked to speak to a manager. I was told that a manager wasn't on duty, but I could speak to a shift supervisor. I did and while he assured me he'd talk to the guy restocking the food, he almost seemed as though it was a bother to take my call. I just moved to this area and I used to frequent the Saladworks near my old job, so I was excited that there was another one not too far from my new job. I got a bowl of soggy green slop and paid over $9 for it. Never been to a saladworks until tonight because we were not very hungry and now very glad we did. We both got soup/chili and salads and the food was prepared perfectly. The chili and soup was not too hot and not too cold and very tasty. I got the buffalo bleu salad and my wife the Caesar salad. We were both blown away how good they were for a chain restaurant. The employees working at this location seem to have a lot of time to converse with on another. Too bad they don't seem to have enough time to get your order right. The young female making my salad was not paying attention. This resulted her to repeatedly ask for me to repeat. Note there was only myself and my boyfriend in the entire place. The young female on the dressing station looked at me like I had 8 heads when I told her what kind of salad dressing I wanted. My boyfriends salad was missing ingredients. The food was fresh though. As a few others have mentioned, the employees are interesting here. I've been here many times now and I don't think I've seen a smile. They're not mean per say; they're just very cold. No complaints about their salads. Always fresh and crisp. I trust them to put on my dressing because they don't pile it on. I get a garden salad - not the other fancy ones. I love saladworks and safe to say that I eat salad works at least once a week... easy, quick and you don't feel horrible after eating it... this particular location although one of the nicest in the inside, staff needs to be retrained on portioning.. this is the only location that if you do ask for double anything... you get a normal serving... asking for egg is pointless because most of it stays on the tongs instead of in the bowl.... Since I only work two seconds from this Saladworks, it is normally my choice for lunch over the rest of the fast food restaurants in the area. The food is great but sometimes the service is really slow. I understand all salads are handmade in front of you, but when it is busy I don't think the staff should be talking to each other quietly between customers or even while helping one. I had to repeat to the girl two times everything that I wanted. She had what I thought was an attitude the entire time she was making my salad, and then had one when she moved onto the next customer. Honestly if you hate your job, find a new one. Because of all the chit chat between coworkers the regular lunch traffic always seems so much worse. If you are going to go for lunch make sure you have enough time . Food seems fresh and I didn't see any unsanitary thing. Just attitude and slowness. I would probably go back, but I can also get a similar salad for cheaper at the shoprite across the street. read more

Staff is usually pretty quick, friendly, efficient and attentive to any customizations you need for your salads... I visit pretty frequently and never had any problems with Salad ingredient or soup freshness. Nicely laid out dining area. I like the place, and plan to continue eating here. read more

best Saladworks EVER!!!! Great food and a great staff

I have to say, since this location has been under new ownership, I have been extremely pleased with my salads. I stopped frequenting this location after consistent poor quality of product when it was under the previous ownership. I'm so happy that new ownership has brought back the quality of these delicious salads. No old lettuce- only fresh ingredients, fresh rolls, etc. I hope they keep up this quality! Ever since new ownership has taken over, this place is AMAZING! Staff is always friendly. BEST PART - unlike the Mt Laurel location I was going to, their portion is just right. They don't skimp on your salad and when the dressing is mixed in, they mix everything. I have been to other locations where they only mix the toppings into the dressing, leaving me to still fumble trying to toss the salad on the plate or in container. I am on for details. I pass the Mt Laurel salad works on my lunch breaks to come to the Delran location instead. read more

I had my daughter order a salad for me (to bring home), and I must say it was a disappointment. Maybe I was expecting more... but when you order a salad and ask for chicken, you expect more than a thimbleful. Basically, what a received was a typical "bagged" garden salad with a few tiny pieces of chicken, and it was missing one of the 'extras'. All this around ten dollars?
