    "create your own" yumminess!

Other than the overly loud country music (???!) - this place was awesome! I saw the young staff and had judgmental thoughts, esp bc of reading prior reviews. I was proven so wrong! The staff was attentive, pretty quick (long line) & very generous with the choices ("make your own") that I selected! The store was clean too. Id go back in a heart beat & even choose the same toppings - (on a mix of spinach leaves & lettuce) : tuna, cheddar, chic peas, guacamole & candied pecans - YUMMY!

    ROACH!

Staff was very friendly. Was nervous with the prior reviews but was very satisfied with my meal and service.

Dining at Ground Provisions was one of the most memorable culinary experiences I've had in years…read more From the moment you arrive, the setting sets the tone -- intimate, relaxed, and thoughtfully designed to let the food take center stage. What truly stands out is the level of creativity and execution coming out of the kitchen under Chef Brandon Beringer. This is a fully plant-based tasting menu, but it never once feels like a compromise. Each course is intentional, beautifully presented, and layered with flavors and textures that rival any traditional fine dining experience. The progression of the meal is especially impressive -- dishes build on one another in a way that feels curated and purposeful, not just a sequence of plates. It's clear that a great deal of thought goes into both the composition of each dish and the overall arc of the evening. What makes this even more notable is that Ground Provisions has earned recognition as a James Beard Award semifinalist, a well-deserved acknowledgment of the quality and originality of what's being created here. For anyone who appreciates thoughtful, chef-driven dining -- whether you're plant-based or not -- this is a must-visit. It's not just a meal, it's an experience.

After doing some research this morning, I learned the restaurant has already changed hands at least once in just a few years, which may help explain the inconsistency we experienced during our visit.

At first, I was worried we would only be able to get bar seating since neither of us put in a reservation. Luckily, the wait staff was able to seat us at a booth as long as we finished by 8pm---perfect! We weren't super hungry, but we were able to share one of the appetizers and get dishes for each of us. The appetizer we got was the rutabaga fondue, with pretzel bread and pickled veggies. It was an intriguing dish and the pickled veggies added an interesting tang. For my entree, I got the grilled tofu with kanzuri glaze, okinawa potato, sunchoke miso butter, fancy radishes, and shiso. The presentation was very much on point! For the two of us, our entire meal was around $80. A great experience from start to finish!

I enjoyed the spicy dan dan noodles, made with delicious mushrooms. Everything else was just fine or too smoky for my tastes. I had a really nice glass of wine with my meal. Staff felt genuinely welcoming. Food was super flavorful across the board. We got the loaded nachos with jackfruit and the chili stuffed dish - both were honestly delicious. Nothing felt like it was missing just because it was vegan; everything was well-seasoned and satisfying. Overall, loved everything we ordered. Also random note, but I was obsessed with their plates... lowkey wanted to take them home lol.

We ordered the Peruvian yuca and sweet plantains to split. I'm not a huge fan of aji amarillo and felt there was too much of it (I would've preferred it on the side), so the yuca wasn't my favorite dish, but it was still a solid appetizer. The sweet plantains were delicious, a classic, and exactly what I expected. The aioli was also nice, balancing out the sweetness. For my entree, I ordered the oyster mushroom tacos with the citrus salad. The oyster mushrooms were perfectly fried, but I felt like they were the slightest bit bland and I didn't love that there weren't any sauces to go with them. The citrus salad is interesting in that the "citrus" is a lemon-based dressing(?), but it's actually mostly tomatoes.
