This review in no way reflects the sweet, helpful employee that made my salad. It was the manager that was the problem. She was condescending, defensive, arrogant and just all around full of herself. I mistakenly pulled my credit card out of the machine before it processed and the machine literally got stuck. I kept trying to push the yes button, etc but it was frozen. So the manager proceeded to do the exact same thing I did, as if it would work when she pushed the exact same buttonsl then she said I broke it. When I responded to that, she said,"I was joking," but in a roll her eyes kind of way. As if the joke was lost on me. Only she wasn't really joking. Let me preface by saying I really enjoy Saladworks, generally. It's more costly than your typical burger place but the quality warrants that. I haven't ordered from this location in years. Previously, when I'd place an order online they were never aware that the order came in when I arrived for pickup, so I stopped going. For $30, we got two salads that were thrown away. The salads looked nothing like the photos on the menu, just iceberg lettuce and creamy orange dressing. The "crispy" chicken was cold and soggy. I think this was the worst salad I have ever attempted to eat. There also was no ice in the machine. $30 was thrown in the trash. Maybe...a custom salad would be better? I am not sure but MOD is in the same shopping center. Just go there. Also the tip option on the check out screen started at 5%. The percentages should not be there or really ever on the tip screen. Delivery has been vad but I find if you go into the store and watch tgem, the food is really good. My door dash order came with a small soup when I paid, rather exorbinantly, for a medium. It wasnt as hearty a salad even with paid additional toppings as i know they do, but only apparently if you order in the store. I love Saladworks! I always get the Cobb salad with Green Goddess dressing, and it's always awesome. At this location the service has always been outstanding as well. As far as Saladworks locations go, this is the best! They are a well-oiled machine. This place gets packed and they take it all in stride. Never compromising on the salad and consistently the correct dressing/salad ratio. They recently changed their rewards system over and I updated my account. Glad I did! I'd say this this is your typical Saladworks...same look and feel as the other franchises. There's typically a long line (some times out the door) during the lunch hour, but it moves pretty fast. Today, I asked a simple and pretty common question: is your feta cheese pasteurized? I've asked this same question at plenty of other places. They usually know off hand or check with someone. The Saladworks person didn't know, asked someone in the back and looked at the shelves for a second without touching anything and came back and said he doesn't know. I asked if he knew how to check (you simply look at the ingredients and it will either say "pasteurized" or not). He said, "Um well we threw the feta bucket away." Okay... By the time I got to the register, the cashier was rude and asked me questions like a drill sergeant (female, African American, 10/1/15, 1 p.m., Gateway Shopping Center): Me: "I got a Greek salad. I'll have a--" Cashier: "White or wheat roll?" Me: "White. Can I also have--" Cashier: "Do you want a drink?" Me: "Well, yes I'll have a soda. They have different types of lettuce that you can pick from along with a variety of toppings and dressings. If you are not in the mood for salad, they do offer soups and sandwiches. The Gateway Shopping Center, which is where this SaladWorks is located, can get pretty crazy and getting in and out of here can be a real pain at times. At lunch during the weekday, this Saladworks can get pretty busy and I've seen the line literally out the door before. That being said, they do a decent job at keeping the line moving. You can choose a white or wheat roll with your meal and they have an array of bottled beverages or you can go with a fountain drink if you prefer. I made my own salad and it was so tasty. Peanut dressing was excellent and a bit spicy. Turkey all so moist. Strawberries grapes and avocado all so summer. They made grilled cheese for kids.
