Beef with Black Pepper
Kai J.

Big fan of what's going on here. This was our first time and I thought it would be kind of like a PF Changs. I was definitely wrong. Recently moved from Chinatown in NYC, these meals made me feel like I was back over there again. The black pepper beef was fantastic. My girlfriend got the hibachi chicken which was also a pleasant surprise. You've got to try the peach tea drink as well. The portion sizes are huge for the price. Will definitely come back and try the actual dim sum food next time. Atmosphere was also great. The music was good and they even have my favorite TV show on the TV. 10/10 experience. Please give this place a try.

Spicy pork too thick and pork tasted off

The service and the ambiance were excellent I really enjoyed the welcoming employees. Unfortunately the food fell flat for me luckily I only ordered two different dumplings these soup dumplings were pretty good but I have to agree with another reviewer that the wrappers are too thick on their dumplings. I got a spicy shrimp dumpling that was very fishy and I didn't eat them. Just one bite missing. They didn't offer to refund me. They did acknowledge I didn't eat them because I didn't like them. Anyway I was starving because I came from the national dog show which was a 10-hour ordeal with no real food in there so I was grateful just to eat something.

Vegetable Stir Fried Noodle- didn't order this but ended up with it anyways. Excellent flavor but way too oily!!

I loved this place for lunch, so I decided to treat my family to dinner. I ended up spending $100 on takeout and was really disappointed. The Good: - Yang Chow Fried Rice: This was the standout dish; the flavor was great, but I wish there had been more protein for the price. - Broccoli Chicken and Shrimp Vegetables: This dish was also good also skimpy on the protein for the dinner price. - Stir Fried Noodles with Veggies: This was the substitution for a completely different dish without asking. It had a nice flavor but was way too oily. - Chicken Dumplings: These were homemade and delicious, and I loved the sauce! The Bad: - Pork Buns: I was excited to try these since they're made in-house, but there were only 2-3 tiny pieces of meat inside and they lacked flavor. - Chicken Wings: I can't believe I paid almost $10 for the smallest chicken drumsticks I've ever seen. They were dried out, and two of them even had feathers. Yuck! If I were to rate this order alone, I would give it a generous 2.5 stars. However, based on the great lunch special we had at work and the amazing taro boba, I'd rate it overall at 3.5 stars.

Service is good . Food mediocre. First day dim sum , buns and dumpling skin way too thick and less fillings . Second day I went for dinner , spicy chicken and string beans too salty . Perhaps cater to ppl who like strong flavor tastebuds.

5 Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Dumpling

This place is a great spot for dim sum. Everything came out fresh and hot, and the variety was impressive. The soup dumplings and the Shanghai pork dumplings were awesome and full of flavor. Service was very quick, even when they're busy. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portions. Definitely will be coming back.

The prices were also reasonable. My sister ordered several appetizers for the table, and then we each ordered an entree. For appetizers, we had the cucumber salad with garlic, the scallion pancake, and the shredded pig ear. The cucumber salad was fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed the scallion pancake with dipping sauce, but I was not a fan of the shredded pig ear with chili oil. The texture was just too rubbery. As an entree, I ordered and loved their huge bowl of hot and sour soup. It was one of the best hot and sour soups I've ever tasted. Although it says one serving, it was large enough to be a meal. The spice level was just right, and the broth was rich and complex. However, being at a restaurant known for soup dumplings, I had to try the Lucky Six Soup Dumplings which ranged from black truffle to crab meat and pork. It was fun trying each type of dumpling (6 total), with the black truffle being my favorite. Be advised, they can be a challenge to eat as you want to slurp up all the soup inside without any spilling out. We were allowed to bring our own cake which was served by their cool robot. Human service was also efficient! Overall, a fun experience at a unique restaurant.

Like dimsum and general tso chicken... they didn't give us soup spoon for dimsum but kinda late to ask for it and some dimsum was already tore in the bottom so soup was leaking through...which defeat the purpose of soup dumpling. Robot serving machine was serving food but the waiting staff put it on table for us. So i don't really know the purpose for the robot but it was fun. Usually there isn't a menu and numerous servers are pushing carts throughout the restaurant and explaining what they are offering. That's half the fun. You have a chance to sample all kinds of dishes, usually small bites and can order as many or as little as you like. Here you are ordering off a menu like any other restaurant. It's not a bad thing but it's really not Dim Sum. The menu is large with many great sounding dishes. They had Peking Duck that you don't see on many menus and it was delicious. Well worth a try for an above average Chinese restaurant. BYO

Food was tasty, authentic and what we were really looking for. The spot is tiny but we got there early enough to secure a table. Everything was delicious! The only thing that need improvement is the cutlery and the serving dishes. Maybe have metal forks for people who can't use chopsticks? Overall, solid food. Solid place. I felt kind of bad that they were so busy they had to turn some tables away. They def need a waitlist system. Will be back soon!

It's small and probably less than 14 ppl can dine here at one time. Also, dim sum is ordered on a small menu. But what I had was authentic and very tasty! I had roast pork buns, corn and chicken dumplings, pork steamed rice roll, and beef noodle soup. The first three were excellent, while the beef noodle soup was unfortunately just average. The main problem with the soup was the broth was too watery imho and the noodles were too firm and tasted like instant noodles. The beef was tender and good at least. My friend had the pork soup dumplings and said they were good. I'll try those next time. She also had the shrimp wonton noodle soup and that also looked good. I tried the bok choy in the soup and the bok choy was terrific. Overall, this place is pretty legit when it comes to the dim sum, but the beef noodle soup can be skipped. But hopefully they'll improve that part. The soup is the only reason I can't give 5 stars. But it's a strong 4 to 4.5 stars at least.

The seasoning on the cauliflower was much more prominent. The area had plenty of parking so you never have to worry about finding parking. In terms of seating, they do not have a lot of seating that is viable. You have one table that's position right at the door. One table that is right in front of the napkins and between the pick up and the sodas. One table that is a bit too close to the bathrooms. That means there are basically 3 tables that are the most viable to use that are left. When we went, they were obviously the only tables taken. I had this place in downtown Philadelphia in 2021 and wanted to try this place again. When I saw this, I wanted to try it. I guess second time around, it didnt wow me as much as the first time around.
