I came to this location to have a good time with my family, but I had the most horrible and DISRESPECTFUL EXPERIENCE with part of the staff. Three in four workers were rude. Terrible service. They were treating us badly right at the start. I was not able to order what I wanted in peace, because one of them was making faces and trying to rush me. There were not even no one in line. I ignored that situation, but I realized the worker called NORMA was also treating badly my grandmother, which was so uncomfortable to me. This is not the first time that happens. I ignored that situation until today. The register lady was also making faces about me in a terrible way when I requested something that I was needing. This is a must have in Katy! It's like a mini sweet green. The lines can be long at lunch time, but it is efficient. They make the salad custom to how you want - from the dressing amount to how much of a specific veggie. Very tasty! read more

I come to this location ALL the time. After 14 hours at work I was looking forward to getting my salad. The service is always great and I always tip. Tonight the service was awful. They literally threw the salad in the bowl and talked to one another while they did it. I thought it was because they were about to close - I've been a server before. We arrived about 6 PM on Wednesday, no waiting. The staff was not overly friendly, but they were professional enough. The food, salads, ingredients all looked fresh and were plentiful. Good selection of toppings. Those to-go cups were slid down the bar next to my salad that all the dirty bowls have been sliding on all day, Im sure was cleaned with a dirty rag and possible chemicals at some point and who knows what else. This location doesn't use tongs to grab your salad. Other Salata locations use tongs. Why does this location use rubber gloves instead of tongs to grab your salad? Also, they use their hands/rubber gloves to grab some of your toppings. read more

I'm not surprised this Salata only has 3.5 stars. I don't think I have ever seen someone have such a terrible attitude. I asked if I could have my regular salad put in two separate containers. Instead of simply saying, "no" one of the ladies there had THE worst attitude towards me. I was so taken aback by this honestly. I don't understand, if she doesn't want to be there she doesn't have to treat the customers that way. The guy that ran out and handed me the dressings for my salad was probably the only employee who actually seems like he should even be there. From now on I'll honestly just drive further down the road to a different Salata. Worst experience ever. read more

Every time we go, we end up with such a huge salad that it becomes lunch the next day as well.

If I could leave no stars I would. I love salata so so much but this was my first time at this location and it was just terrible. I got a Large salad and for the amount you pay for a salad you should get more than a tiny pinch of food. I asked for more cilantro and I legit got two more tiny pieces with a side of attitude. The workers there were very rude and seemed to hate their jobs. The only one who was nice was the guy checking people out. read more

I am a HUGE fan of Salata, however we had an extremely bad experience at this location today. First of all, I had no idea that Salata closes at 5 on Sundays. Really weird since they close at 9 every other day of the week. Whatever, their business if they want to miss out on the dinner rush. Anyway, I got to this location and to the door at 4:58. It was locked. All the doors were locked. I wasn't planning on eating inside due to the closing time, I was just looking to get something to go. Yes, the early closure was very frustrating, but the absolutely infuriating part of the experience was the employees. They were LAUGHING! Seriously where in the hell has customer service gone?? They were laughing and shaking their heads. Two of them were busy taking selfies. It was mortifying. It's enough that I pulled on a locked door causing all the customers to look up, but to have the EMPLOYEES point and laugh? Unbelievable. I've worked in many restaurants and retail stores over the years. Maybe times have changed, but if we were to EVER lock doors early or be blatantly disrespectful to customers (the reason why we have JOBS) we would be heavily reprimanded or possibly fired. Needless to say, this particular store doesn't deserve business. FYI - there was no manager present. I called. The worker that answered gave me a number for the manager, but didn't know the corporate number. I will be calling tomorrow. read more

I didn't know salata translates to STINGY! we had to beg for more lettuce in our large salad which was just as big if not smaller than the small salad we also got. We had to ask for more than what they gave on each item and they gave us such a nasty look. We finally gave up when I got to the chicken and just took the scraps. On top of that they ran out of balsamic vinegar. Really? At a salad place? To make matters worse they were all rude and unapologetic. The people behind us were also begging for more as well so we didn't feel as alone. Together we are salata survivors. But really salata get it together. You can give away a little more lettuce for a 20 dollar salad. Step your game up! From now on We are driving to the further salata where they are kind and not stingy like this one. read more

This location had signs on tables that showed "recently sanitized." Several tables with the "sanitized" signs were dirty. When someone finally came to clean, they used the same rag for all tables and chairs. Very unclean, definitely not sanitary, especially during this pandemic. I am typically a salata lover. I wont return to this location again. I first used them with on online order due to the virus but when I arrived home i noticed that the salad dressing were in 2 small containers what would not equal one scoop. I hate dry salad which is was very dry. Fine in the future I would go in a set up the salad the way i like it. I began going to this salata 3 to 4 times a week and would purchase the 8 usd salad and leave a 3 dollar tip. Every thing was great. Today I went to the location and order the regular size salad. The was a woman there who had a black shirt on serving me this time. Probably 50+ years of age. In the past it has been someone 30 and under. Bad visit from the start. I order a regular salad. She gave me the container for a regular salad but the lettuce amounted to the amount of a small salad. (I wondered why would i just did not get the small salad) So we start putting items on the salad. Remember I eat here about 3 to 4 times a week. She began to tell me that I will have to pay extra for things that there is no extra charge for. I told her that I never had this issue before. She said sorry its extra. (I know protein is extra, bread and etc) I have eaten at Salata for years. I told her okay but I wont be back. Her only statement was "sorry." A 10 usd salad and you want to be stingy with ingredients???? Honestly she is the first person I ever had trouble with there and it is too far to drive to chance that she will fix my salad again. Everytime I go, the place is almost empty. They only have 1 or 2 customer. You would think that they would value the customers they have. I am a man of my word and I won't return to this location. Ten dollars per visit 3 to 5 times a week is not bad profit. Maybe 40 usd a week average or 160 usd a month from one customer. Fine i will take my business to another location that appreciate it more or maybe stick with Wendys salad which are cheaper anyways. To bad. I love salata, however this specific location not so much. They are very slow and when I choose my online order pick up and get there at that time they usually haven't even started making my food. My wrap is never wrapped right and falls apart as soon as I pick it up. I've also had a worker get an attitude with me while I waited for my online order. It's a newer location so I'm sure they are still trying to figure things out, but I definitely prefer the location on mason road. read more
