It saddens me to write this but this location used to be one of my favorite poke spots. Lately I've been getting crunchy rice, and smaller servings. Ordered for delivery so unsure of dining service. Delivery was faster than expected. My drink was a little weird, the lid didn't fit properly and so was heavily wrapped in plastic wrap. It was also more ice than anything else. As for my bowl, it seemed to be missing the ponzu sauce and only came with the side of shoyu. I want to preface I am a high spice tolerant person. I eat very spicy food consistently so I consider my spice level high. I ordered medium spice and I was running to the sink feeling sick because of how spicy it was. I was chugging milk and eating ice and was also crying. The food was good quality but the portions were SMALL. We ordered a large (3 protein scoops) and only recieved two of the three choices and only about half of the sides requested. I did not finish the bowl due to how insanely spicy it was but if I would have I would have still been hungry. I did order this on DoorDash as a heads up but 0/10 for real. I would give a good score for freshness but unless you have a spice tolerance that's INSANE you can't eat here and don't come with an appetite. read more

Delicious pokebowls. Sometimes poke can be a hit or miss. But based on the reviews, I hoped it would be a hit. Thankfully, all the reviews described this place very well. The seafood was fresh and even with all the toppings you added my pokebowl was not salty (as it can easily happen). It was well balanced with flavors, and lots of protein, and was well portioned (rice, vegetables, and protein). I very much enjoyed dinner! So far this is my favorite poke bowl place in Houston... ...coming from Hawaii, I'm extremely picky with my poke bowls. Once I got over the fact that all fish here would be frozen, and nothing would compare with even the grocery store poke bowls back home I settled on a favorite. And here we are...customer service is good, not amazing. The options are great and help create a really filling meal. I normally don't give anyone 5 stars unless you are REALLY REALLY GOOD. So there it is; 5 stars! I have never been to this restaurant before. It was so nice and clean. The service as spot on. The gentlemen who to my order was very helpful and kind. Not like some people who are only there for the paycheck. My poke bowl was perfect. The salmon, ahi tuna was cool and fresh. There was not one thing I did not like. I had a hard time finishing my bowl. That has never happened before. I don't drink soda but I did notice they do not have popular sodas like Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite etc.... it was some other brand I have never heard of before. But that a-ok with. Frequented this poke place since it's one of the few around Katy. Went in yesterday around lunch hour. Wish I could've taken a picture of the tuna they tried serving my wife and I. It had no color and nearly looked dried out. Didn't realize it until we went to order the toppings and saw it in the bowl. There were no cucumbers, seaweed salad, or crab salad available. No warning from the staff or a sign that half the toppings weren't available. Between the poor attitude from the woman working, the foul tuna she tried serving, along with the lack of available toppings we just left and can't say we'll ever go back. read more

Best place for poke in the Katy area! I'm a big fan of poke and have ordered from every place in Katy but the quality and topping have been disappointing so I keep returning to Pokeworks. The quality is consistent every time whether dine in or to go. By consistence, I mean that the fish and toppings are always fresh. Sometimes when I order poke from other places I can smell the fishiness from the plastic bag to the bowl itself and it lingers even as I eat. I've never had that problem with Pokeworks. Also, I love that they offer quinoa as a base when I want something lighter than rice but heavier than a salad. Also, it goes through the digestive system very well haha. read more

He basically add my toppings and etc. after he finished making my bowl, he asked me if I have the Pokeworks app to get $5 off my meal. I answered no, because I just saw the sign on the window but didn't want to wait up the line to download the app. (There was other customers waiting). The nice gentleman simply told me to go ahead and sit down and eat and I can download the app and I can pay after I am done eating, no rush! I was really surprised! He really made my day! I was having a rough day at work *hints why my lunch was at 2pm!* and I was flustered when I was trying to juggle downloading the app and trying to pay. Grab my drink, download the app while enjoying my poke bowl. After I was done eating, he rang me up and scan my app for the $5 off. What I had: build my own poké salad. 1. Base - Fresh romaine and spring mix 2. Protein - salmon 3. Add mix-ins - cilantro, cucumber, edamame, fresh jalapeño, hijiki seaweed and orange slices 4. Choose a flavor - wasabi aioli 5. I had such a pleasant experience at the Katy location. Clean store and amazing service! The person behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. He gave me a lot of good recommendations based on my likings. I ended up loving the mix of umami shoyu and spicy ginger as the sauce, which was one of his suggestions. The portion size is generous. I suggest adding all the toppings to elevate the flavors and to get more food. Some of my favorites are seaweed salad (a must), edamame, spicy furikake, onion crisps, and garlic crisps. I would also add avocado when I get home. I like how it's quick to grab and healthy! It's a type of meal that fuels your body with proper nutrients and makes you feel good. The people working there are some of the nicest people I've encountered at a chain restaurant. I'll definitely visit again and highly recommend everyone to give it a try! read more

Horrible experience, wasn't greeted and didn't even listen to what I asked for. I wanted one brown rice burrito and one white rice burrito and ended up with 2 white rice! they barely put any rice which in the end made the burrito hard to wrap they had to remake one of them and the other had to be double wrapped in seaweed. didn't even ask me if i wanted light, medium, or heavy on the sauce so one burrito is all sauce! Have been ordering from this place for a year on a regular basis. Today was a huge disappointment . Got my regular Salmon, Tuna Poke bowl and first bite of Tuna made me instantly queezy. Took a look and as you can see in the picture it is Grey, slimy, smelly, off... I immediately took this photo and threw it away. I called to let them them know about the bad Tuna and the response from the manager was defensive. He said, "that Tuna is from this morning and it tastes fine..." This Place Restored My Faith In Poke. I tried poke once a while back and wasn't a big fan of it. My sisters ate here once and thought I should give poke another try so I went with them. The interior is clean and vibrant with a yellow theme. The inside was decorated with cute and simple furnitures. We got in, got in line, the girl on the line was super helpful and patience.
