I had a one time, bad experience at this location and when I tell you they made it right extremely quickly, they made it right! I was very concerned with the cross contamination that occurred one visit, it had never happened before and I was shocked. The staff at this location know my face at this point and automatically keep my salad away from meat (I'm vegan and have allergies) but that day it was a different staff. I explained to one member but he did not relay it to the next one which created cross contamination. I left without my salad that day. I emailed corporate and they immediately responded. The manager and owner both reached out to me within 24 hours. They invited me to come back for a free salad and even when I got there to get the salad, they offered me cookies, drinks, anything else. I did not take it because I just simply wanted the salad that I had originally ordered, but the sentiment was really nice. The manager came and spoke with me and apologized. She explained that she had run the cameras back, so exactly what happened and was in shock. She knew that that was not the normal protocol, and she said that that staff member was retrained. I really appreciated the attention to detail and want to make it right. This will continue to be my fav Salata location. They have definitely won a lifer out of me. Thank you guys again. read more

Salata has great salads one of things I like about them is that you can actually choose your ingredients and your price is usually based on what you choose. They have a large selection to choose from and a nice facility in which to enjoy them. There's one very close to my neighborhood about 2 miles from my home so it's the place that I may frequent more in the near future. Now I hear it's very pricey but I am not surprised! The taste was something else and it was delicious. I know salads but this is not your typical salad at all. I highly recommend you try it for yourself. You won't believe I only remembered to take a picture of the "HUGe" salad after I took my last bite and it was all finished. We were at this Salata today around 4 pm. There was not 1 clean table. The floor had trash/food on it. While we were eating a guy came in with his little dog on a leash. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs. However, this was NOT a service dog, and it sat in the booth where he was eating. I really think the employees should have said something. read more

I got so many toppings I almost forgot I had lettuce. I always go with the shrimp and avocado. Those cost extra, but they're worth it. I've been to other Salata locations and they definitely serve more protein. I only got about 6 small pieces of chicken in my bowl, which was disappointing compared to what I usually get. I love that they have so many options. I'm allergic to most ranches and so I can never have ranch without looking at the ingredients first, but i love that they have like 10 different dressings I can have and I can mix it up. I like the smoked turkey, and the sun dried tomatoes, it's just sobering that makes it feel a bit special. The drinks are actually one of my husband's favorite parts, they have unsweetened tea options and he loves tea, but can't have sweet tea, but likes flavors. Also, when adding the veggies and fruits to the bowl, why are they not using tongs or the little ladles half of the time? They used their gloved hand to grab and scoop! I quite enjoyed the salad here - it wasn't bad, although it didn't have anything on the best ones I've been to, which would be the one at Citycentre, and the one upstairs on Wesleyan in the Richmond district near the Galleria. The problem with a lot of them is that the portions are small. Other issues include bad service or ingredients not being fresh. This location didn't really have any of those issues, but it also didn't blow me away, and the salad could have been even bigger (like our fave location at Richmond and Weslayan) maybe. Salata is still one of the best Salad Bars you'll ever eat at, unless you get a bad location or a bad crew or a bad day, because consistency definitely can be questionable at some locations more than others. The dressing that I like best is the fresh herb vinaigrette and we both like it which is unusual because we usually both don't get the same thing but here it's just that good that we do. But then I ask for 2 scoops and I get lettuce only, like in the pics. I'm dang tired of spending $15 (with protein) for effing lettuce. Quit ripping ppl off. I finally tried Salata and loved it!! So much I went for lunch two days in a row. I ordered a wrap on both days. The first day I had a whole wheat wrap with spinach, mushrooms, corn, green peppers, banana peppers, and mixed cheese. The second day I had the exact same thing minus corn and green peppers, but I added Parmesan cheese. I always get sauces on the side. Not a fan of too much sauce/juice on any of my food. (Which is actually a pretty decent discovery, cool) I had the spicy chipotle ranch for the first time and oh my gooodnesss. It's so delicious! Both times I got pita chips with my wraps. I really enjoyed the service and the food. However, I know that I can make these very delicious, yet extremely simple wraps at home. I will definitely visit Salata again though. read more
