What a wonderful find. Found out about Salazar's through tik tok. As a native New Mexican I will tell you I'm VERY picky with my New Mexican style cuisine and I left very full and happy. I ordered the 3 enchilada with rice and beans and it just tastes like home! We will be back!

Chips and salsa were stale and tasteless. Entree was cheap ingredients put together poorly. Don't think they are even trying. Just terrible.

Salazar's food is very tasty and the price is definitely right! Nothing fancy, but a place that I returned too often for a good solid meal.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

They've remodeled in the past three years and I really like what they've done! Beautiful decor and it's now a sit down restaurant, which I really like!! Menu is very similar, but expanded! They brought delicious chips and 3 salsas to the table! The crème one was my favorite!! I got a Pacifico to drink and my husband got a Corona nonalcoholic. I went for the Chicken Mole taco with a side of black beans and rice! Absolutely delicious!! My husband got the Bean and Cheese taco and the Impossible meat taco with a side of tots! Service was great! I'm so glad we finally made it back! Really want to come more frequently!! Also heard they have good breakfast tacos in the morning! Will try those next!

The service was excellent and everything came out much more quickly than I would have expected for a large group. I had the chile relleno and it was the best I've ever had. Perfectly portioned and delicious. Family had everything from fajitas to quesadillas and everyone was quite happy with their meals. The salsa for the chips had a slight kick to it but not enough to stop you from digging in for more. Great experience and staff.

Food came out within minutes of ordering and all at once. Entrees on top of appetizers. Beer selection. Just the big name brands. Fine. But weirdly the rim of my beer glass was coated with a powder that tasted like ground up Doritos. Yuck. Food. Generic burritos and tacos were acceptable. The queso: Within minutes it cooled into a blob of chewy cheese. The chicken with mole: Chicken was dry and tasteless; the mole was thin and watery, and lacked any hint of chocolate. Did we dine here on an off night? Perhaps since it's a really popular place. Hard to say. All I can say is, it's not for us.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. These were not complimentary but when they arrived the salsa was fresh and unique. I was glad I ordered them. My wife chose the carne asada burrito. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The check had included a 15% Service Charge so I was glad to see the options on the screen to add a tip began at a level that matched up with the service charge at a reasonable level. I only had one complaint, The music was a little loud. The sound system is great and I loved the authentic music but the baseline was pumping loud enough to hurt my ears. I'd recommend adjusting the volume or the mix to make it a little more comfortable. Overall I loved this experience and will definitely want to come again. No pictures, sorry.

The environment is bright, inviting and not too noisy. We booked a table but some of our party was late. No one minded, and several of us enjoyed some fresh guacamole prepared tableside while we waited. Everything we ordered was well made and presented. Portions large enough that leftovers were inevitable. Quedadillas. Chile Colorado, Mole Chicken Enchiladas, and Burritos Dorados, which have Chile Colorado inside. Everyone enjoyed their meal, with one exception that one of us didn't like the Burrito Dorado (someone else enjoyed theirs, just a matter of personal taste). Their entree was replaced with another, with no fuss. I had the mole chicken, the first time I've had it here, as Chile Colorado is my favorite. The mole chicken turned out to be one of those dishes that you take the first bite and you are stunned. You look around to see if anyone is watching your reaction It was truly amazing. Service was very attentive and helpful, not hovering or rushed. They took a family picture for us on our way out. Looking forward to our next visit. Parking can be a challenge. There is a small lot. The answer was an enthusiastic yes, so we headed to Red Iguana. This visit was especially meaningful because my wife and I had one of our very first dates at Red Iguana more than 27 years ago. While some things about the restaurant have changed over the years, the food was every bit as amazing as I remembered. It turned into a wonderful trip down memory lane. My wife and I shared the Red Iguana combo plate, and our kids each had quesadillas. Everyone loved their meal. The flavors were outstanding, the portions were generous, and it reminded us why this restaurant has such a great reputation. The only downside was that we were so full we didn't have room for the fried ice cream! That just gives us a good excuse to come back another night. Red Iguana delivered great food, great memories, and a perfect welcome for my family after a long day of travel. Highly recommended!
