This is an old photo from when I went but YUM I love House of Corn!! So many delicious options but I love the unique option of having red, white, or blue corn tortillas! In this photo, I got a huarache. I loveeee huaraches and this one didn't seem to disappoint. Loved the refried beans, loved the rice. This place provides super authentic Mexican food and I love it. I've visited multiple times and suggest it often to people! Service is great, the owner is really kind and friendly. Ambiance is fun as well!

Food was so yummy! Homemade chips and salsa. Salsa was excellent with a unique flavor. I had the Chile Relleno which was the best I've had anywhere - filling was excellent. Rice and beans were excellent. Best part was the homemade tortillas. All the tortillas and chips were made in house and are multicolored corn. Fun atmosphere and a large selection of drinks. Owner is very kind and passionate about his food.

If I could give this place more stars I would. We came in 5 minutes before closing (not knowing) but the owner took us in and accommodated us without hesitation. The food was 10/10 and service just made it that much more great. The quality of the ingredients was amazing. Everything was fresh and authentic. Coming from California, I am very hard on Mexican cuisine, but this place knocked it out. If I ever come back to SLC I will be sure to come back here. Pictured is the mango michelada. Absolutely delicious! Finally, the ambiance is amazing and the decor is so beautiful to look at.

Super yummy. Awesome amount of food for the price, loved the vibe at this spot. The only miss is the server brought out food we didnt order and said we did. Would come again though.

This is a great quick lunch spot with plenty of seating and very attractive interior. I visited with a couple coworkers and we tried a variety of dishes that we each enjoyed. Chile rellenos had nice fluffy batter, enchiladas were a good portion, quesabirria had great cheese, and street tacos (chicken and shrimp) were delicious. We were greeted as soon as we entered and offered a fresh tortilla to try! Food came out quickly. All of us agreed we would come back! I had been here once before during breakfast hours and ordered a breakfast burrito but think I received a regular one, which was underwhelming as the vegetables were cold. But the good lunch experience erased that!

I became violently ill (two headed dragon as some would call it) within hours of eating here, so I won't return. I had all the symptoms of food poisoning. My previous/first review was flagged by House of Corn because I was discreet and did not provide enough detail so I have provided that detail now. The tamales tasted re-heated. They were quite dry. The salsa bar was room temperature, not chilled. The sauces with their saucy name were sitting at the bar and were not chilled. I guess I should have known better.

This Mexican restaurant does serve authentic Mexican food. I got the pambazo with chorizo, and the chorizo was so good, with a great portion. Also got chilaquiles verdes with birria, and it was delicious; the birria was not dry at all. I was just disappointed in their tamales; they were ok, but they were dry.

Best Chile Verde smothered burrito in SLC. Margaritas aren't bad either! ;)

It was very American Mexican food. The chips were too thick and the chili verde was just green sauce.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I went for the Chicken Mole taco with a side of black beans and rice! Absolutely delicious!! My husband got the Bean and Cheese taco and the Impossible meat taco with a side of tots! Service was great! I'm so glad we finally made it back! Really want to come more frequently!! Also heard they have good breakfast tacos in the morning! Will try those next!

They are putting the street in street taco that's for sure. We went right during sunset, and it was actually so gorgeous with the mountains. I got Al pastor tacos and my husband got Al pastor, carne asada, and tripa. The Al pastor was soooo good!!! My husband enjoyed the carne asada and also said the tripa was amazing and super crunchy. They have a cooler with toppings and you get to load up the tacos yourself. They also have a cooler with drinks, but they didn't have any Diet Coke. The guys working were super nice and quick. The people in front of us ordered burritos and they let you load them up before wrapping them. I'd love to come back for a burrito. Overall, it lived up to the hype! Worth the stop for sure and highly recommend during sunset.

Staff wasn't the friendliest but hey it's a hot day with a huge crowd so no big deal. The orders were limited to burrito and taco combos, that come with a canned soda, rice and beans. The taco combo comes with three. Went with the asada and boy were these mediocre. Cheapest cut of chewy meat drenched in oil to help enhance the flavor nestled inside of a store bought tortilla. Tiny tacos with subpar meat filled with the sort of gristle you won't enjoy. For $15 I felt ripped off. The burrito was mostly bright orange rice, not the usual light red rice an abuela makes, filled with half melted cheese, and what appears to be canned beans with a sprinkle of that ghastly meat. Not sure what the hype is about but this place is substandard at best. If you're hungry with no options it's better than nothing but really not worth your money at $5 a taco.
