Overall, the appointment itself went very well, and we really appreciated the care she provided. The only frustrating part was that my daughter's prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. We checked with the front desk during the same visit that everything was correct with the pharmacy. We drove to the pharmacy twice but the prescription was still never sent. Now the office is closed, and the answer machine is saying it will cost $20 just to speak with the after-hours nurse about getting the medication our daughter needs. That was a very disappointing end to an otherwise great visit.

As a first time mom I was concerned with vaccines and Kiera went over every single vaccine and helped me decide if I wanted to delay or skip any. She was also a great support both when I was breastfeeding and when I switched to formula later on. I also love that she takes a more natural approach to medicine. Our daughter has only been sick twice but both times she helped us choose vitamins and probiotics that helped strengthen her versus resorting to the typical store medicines. We love that! We also love that she is so accesible. She has always been able to schedule us same day when we have an abrupt concern and is also great at responding to emails right away. We have great insurance coverage but still choose to pay out of pocket for the wonderful care she provides to our little family! Highly recommend her!

I have had a few issues with being double billed, having an extra statement that was already paid in office or insurance not getting the correct information so I would get charged for something that I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. I always feel heard, respected, and informed when we leave. She truly takes the time to make sure our babies are healthy and we know how to care for them if they are sick. Our experience at East Valley Children's Center with Dr. Curran was terrible from start to finish…read more The office instructed us to arrive 20 minutes early for paperwork, which we did, only to then wait an additional 30 minutes past our original appointment time. The exam rooms were outdated, with decor and unstable chairs that looked like they hadn't been updated since the early 2000s. When Dr. Curran finally entered, he slammed every door, cabinet, and item he touched, creating a very unsettling environment. He began the visit by asking me how I was doing, but immediately cut me off mid-answer to start another question. During the exam, without asking, he suddenly took a Q-tip and fished out the last of my newborn's drying umbilical cord. Since then, my baby's belly button has been bleeding for over a week. He also referred us to a urologist for a circumcision, saying they would call us, but no one ever did. When we followed up, we learned Dr. Curran had told the urologist our baby had a diagnosis we were never informed of, forcing us to schedule a separate diagnostic appointment before even addressing the circumcision. This was extremely concerning, especially because no one in the hospital ever mentioned this "diagnosis," and a second opinion confirmed there was no issue at all. To make matters worse, when we called the office to report the bleeding and ask about the urologist issue, we were told Dr. Curran would call us back. It's been over 5 days and we never received that call. This has been the worst doctor experience I have ever had. I would never recommend Dr. Curran or this office to anyone.

My son's pediatrician is located all the way in downtown Phoenix, and I just don't have the energy to also drive my daughter all the way from where we are in the East Valley. Dr. Ijaola is proficient, punctual, and personable enough. He's been very thorough during my daughter's last 2 checkups. I also decided to finally have a wellness check for myself since the birth of my daughter was so horrific for both of us. My primary care physician also works at this office. She's one of the nurse practitioners. And she is extremely knowledgeable and thorough as well. Bonus, their office is immaculate and seriously, the fact that you can show up to your appointment on time and be seen right away with zero wait time is amazing!
