The manager brought us menus and explained again they were short staffed and the server would be over. As busy as the server was, she offered suggestions on drinks and food. The burgers, wings and tacos were all good. My friend thought the tacos were a little spicy so the server brought her more lime creme. It's your typical pub with tvs a bar and some very comfortable sitting against the wall. All staff was very friendly and I was very impressed with our very overworked server. That smile never left her face. The manager stopped by a few times also which was also nice!

Our waitress was good, the food and drinks were decent, it was crowded & hectic because of the game and my husband had previously asked 2 waitresses if they could get 2 of the tvs in front of us changed to the World Cup game. They said they would and after 20 minutes and the game having started, but the 2 tvs hadn't been changed. My husband asked another waitress if we could talk to the manager about the TVs getting changed. A few minutes later the manager came storming out, and asked in a very rude and aggressive tone of voice,"who's got a problem with the tvs?!" My husband started to try to ask about if it was possible to change the tv and he began yelling loudly and aggressively at my husband, in front of the entire restaurant that he would not change the tvs and wrongly accused my husband of yelling at his staff. My husband tried to talk calmly to this man, but he just yelled louder. Our entire table was somewhat traumatized and shocked by how verbally abusive this man was to my husband. My husband even stood up as the manager was yelling because he thought that this man was going to take a swing at him. This man should not have a job in customer service or management. I understand that it was a busy and hectic night but there is no excuse for being verbally abusive to your customers. My husband also tried to talk to the manager about 15 minutes later about the incident in hopes that he would be calmer and to clarify that he wasn't yelling at his staff, but the manager refused to speak to him, stating he was too busy. We have frequented this restaurant and brought large parties there in the past but as long as this manger continues to be employed at this restaurant we will no longer be attending, nor can we recommend it to anyone. As locals who live here full time and want to support local restaurants we are saddened to say this- but this manager ruined our night and left us with a very bad memory and taste in our mouths that we don't want to repeat. We would appreciate the opportunity to talk to the owner directly about this incident.

We stayed here for a short family trip with our toddler and enjoyed that proximity. The hotel has on site parking which is convenient and included in the room cost. It also has a few spots reserved right near the lobby entrance for check in we didn't know about in advance but you do now. Due to the proximity to the beach, we were able to get on the beach very early sans crowds, see the sunrise, go get breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, walk part of the Boardwalk, then go right back to the our room to clean up and take a nap. The convenience where your money is going if you opt to stay here. I would say that the front desk service is just ok, esp when you're paying pretty handsomely to stay here. For instance, the hotel advertises that you can reserve umbrella/chairs with a 10% voucher so I called from our room, spoke to the same male receptionist twice then the next day made our way to the receptionists in the lobby. The lady I spoke with proceeded to ask me if who I spoke with. I normally try to remember names but this particular one had not identified himself and I had made the last minute judgement call not to ask. When I asked why that mattered, she said we were supposed to pick up vouchers in the morning. Nowhere does it say that nor did the male receptionist mention this the two times I called. Nor did I understand why that mattered since we only wanted to use the umbrella/chair for less than two hours late in the day. Finally, she proceeded to look for the umbrella and chair vouchers. Even the box labeled "chairs" only contained umbrella vouchers. So basically what was supposed to be a 2 minute endeavor turned into a much longer one. To top it all off, no one was manning the umbrella/chair stand at either of the two kiosks we tried so after we spent a short time on the beach we asked for a refund with the lobby receptionist on our way back in. That employee we spoke with offered zero apology for our inconvenience or anything like that. He gave us an absolutely deadpan look then said he'd refund the charge. I'm glad he did but again, for the price you're paying for these rooms, you'd expect a bit more customer service. There's a vending machine in the lobby for which you can use your credit card to buy stuff like bottled water, wipes, sunscreen but we found a nearby convenience store (RB convenience on Rehobeth Beach) within pretty easy walking distance where the water was in larger quantities and cheaper. The restaurant and pool on site are convenient although the pool was out of towels a few hours before they closed and those were not restocked although I did see an employee bringing over towel disposal bin for used towels. Overall, the price you're paying here is for proximity and convenience, not for the customer service. The interior is a bit dated (hallway carpets could use some freshening, etc). Our room did have a microwave and mini fridge although the website only advertised it having a mini fridge. I recommend staying here if proximity and convenience are what you prioritize.

We arrived in the evening on a Sunday, At first, it looked like there wasn't enough parking, but…read morethen we realized that there was a garage underground. We got a spot there and never moved the car until we checked out. It was actually preferrable to us to have it below ground and protected from the elements - and also from non-guests who might otherwise vandalize. Our room - oceanview - was absolutely oceanview. The only bummer being we overlooked the pool - which was always PACKED during the day (and noisy). However, we did have a lovely view of the beach. That worked out great as our last evening they had some life guard competitions on the beach and we could see it better from our balcony (2nd floor) than we could from the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when we managed to lock ourselves out of the room. We were able to rent the beach chairs and umbrella through the for a 10% discount. We got passes we presented to the actual vendors. I highly recommend you go down before 8:30 am and get the vouchers to stand in line at a vendor tent at 8:30 when they open - to avoid long waits and get a good spot on the beach. The room itself was fine. We had 2 double beds. Linens were clean but the towels were not the best. They looked new but were not soft. Room had all the basics - large fridge, microwave, coffee machine (K cup) and OK sized TV with pretty good stations. They have a restaurant on site as well as a little coffee shop. Nothing is free (no complimentary breakfast). We packed our own stuff so we were all set The room was pretty quiet and fine for sleep. I think the only downside was the price. Costs are so much higher this year or maybe here - compared to what I paid prior years for other beach boardwalk oceanview rooms. The boardwalk was decent. A fair number of classy restaurants for us to pick from. Prices were high but perhaps that's the area. They had cheap food, too - as well as souvenir and beach shops. All in all, the hotel was exactly what we needed. A good location on the beach with everything we needed without having to drive anywhere. I found this place to be better than some of the reviews I read prior to booking over the winter. But we usually find places acceptable and more like the positive feedback than the scathing reviews. I recommend this place and would most likely stay here again - as opposed to the limited other options we saw in the area. However, this is not our favorite boardwalk so we won't be back. Our favorite is Wildwood so that's we're were headed next now that we've tried all boardwalk beaches.

Have had multiple visits over the years seeing this establishment grow and have enjoyed them…read more However this was fourth and worse igloo visit. It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

My husband…read morespecifically called to ask for a room that had a view, as some Google reviews aptly noted that some of the second floor balconies have an obstructed view of the canal due to large trees. When we arrived, we were given a room on the second floor that had an obstructed view. What the heck? We went back to the lobby and spoke with the receptionist and he changed us to a room on the fourth floor (402). That had a spectacular view of the canal and was the same price. So why didn't the first employee just offer it when we specifically asked for a room with a view and it was obviously unoccupied? Beats the heck out of me. The inn looks a little like a museum inside with its decorations and statues so if you like that sort of vibe, this would fit your needs. The bathtub is quite slippery which surprised me since most of the patrons staying here appear to be seniors. The room does have a mini fridge and has two complimentary water bottles which is nice. Their complimentary "European style breakfast" from 8-10 AM advertised on their website wasn't impressive at all. Be aware there are no hot foods. It's a few pastries, some fresh fruit, what looks like store made granola and individual yogurt cups, some bagels/toast. We are staying for two nights but you're missing nothing by eating breakfast elsewhere. I was still hungry after eating the meager breakfast provided. Super 8 would probably has a better breakfast. The front desk also leaves and/or stops answering the phones by 11 pm so if you have an overnight emergency or need, I think you're on your own. Overall, what you're paying for is the view (if you get even that) and proximity to the small downtown area. There is outdoor inn parking in a lot across the street. You do have to walk across the street and downhill to get from parking lot to the inn which could be hairy in rainy or snowy weather.

Reservations can be made online or through directly calling. When I had a little confusion online with the dates I wanted and the room type of room, I called their reservation desk. They made it quite easy and work for me. Price is competitive, especially when compared to similar area waterfront hotels. The Inn is located in downtown Lewes along the canal with wonderful views. Easy walking distance to Lewes downtown restaurants, shops and historic sites. The Lewes beach is just under a mile from the hotel location. Outlet malls, Cape Henlopen State Park, Cape May - Lewes Ferry Terminal and Rehoboth Beach are all an easy drive. The location is ideal. My room was quite comfortable. Had all I could need with an amazing balcony and view of the canal. Someone had cranked the temperature low on the refrigerator. So, it froze items I had placed in it. Housekeeping was respectful of my privacy and diligent about servicing my room when I wanted it. Towels were soft. Bed was very comfortable. Wi-fi was fast. Room and outlaying areas were clean. The Inn offers a small fitness center with the basic equipment useful in doing strength as well as cardio exercise. A breakfast bar is included with your stay. It had a variety of fresh fruit, a couple yogurt flavors, a couple cereals and hard boiled eggs. There were pitchers of different juices, coffee thermoses, a selection of teas available. Breakfast breads and toast varied daily. Much of the breads were store bought type breads. It's a nice spread, but after a few days, I wanted something more. There are several local restaurants conveniently nearby serving breakfast menus that I also enjoyed.
