    Ocean view room with balcony
    Liz A.

We arrived in the evening on a Sunday, At first, it looked like there wasn't enough parking, but then we realized that there was a garage underground. We got a spot there and never moved the car until we checked out. It was actually preferrable to us to have it below ground and protected from the elements - and also from non-guests who might otherwise vandalize. Our room - oceanview - was absolutely oceanview. The only bummer being we overlooked the pool - which was always PACKED during the day (and noisy). However, we did have a lovely view of the beach. That worked out great as our last evening they had some life guard competitions on the beach and we could see it better from our balcony (2nd floor) than we could from the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when we managed to lock ourselves out of the room. We were able to rent the beach chairs and umbrella through the for a 10% discount. We got passes we presented to the actual vendors. I highly recommend you go down before 8:30 am and get the vouchers to stand in line at a vendor tent at 8:30 when they open - to avoid long waits and get a good spot on the beach. The room itself was fine. We had 2 double beds. Linens were clean but the towels were not the best. They looked new but were not soft. Room had all the basics - large fridge, microwave, coffee machine (K cup) and OK sized TV with pretty good stations. They have a restaurant on site as well as a little coffee shop. Nothing is free (no complimentary breakfast). We packed our own stuff so we were all set The room was pretty quiet and fine for sleep. I think the only downside was the price. Costs are so much higher this year or maybe here - compared to what I paid prior years for other beach boardwalk oceanview rooms. The boardwalk was decent. A fair number of classy restaurants for us to pick from. Prices were high but perhaps that's the area. They had cheap food, too - as well as souvenir and beach shops. All in all, the hotel was exactly what we needed. A good location on the beach with everything we needed without having to drive anywhere. I found this place to be better than some of the reviews I read prior to booking over the winter. But we usually find places acceptable and more like the positive feedback than the scathing reviews. I recommend this place and would most likely stay here again - as opposed to the limited other options we saw in the area. However, this is not our favorite boardwalk so we won't be back. Our favorite is Wildwood so that's we're were headed next now that we've tried all boardwalk beaches.

3.25 stars. Atlantic Sands is a nice venue albeit dated and needing a little TLC in terms of a renovation of some of the areas. I've been here twice now, first in October '22 and again this October for a work related conference. It's situated right on the boardwalk which is a big plus. The rooms I stayed in were clean and quiet. Parking is ample and there is plenty of street parking if the lot is full. Just be aware it's metered parking but October is off season so the ticket folks didn't come around. The conference provided breakfast and lunch which was made on site. It's your typical fare and a meh in my book. The Tiki lounge which is on the ground floor is nice but again dated. The conference provided dinner the first night which included a raw bar which was nice. The rest of the offerings were again average. Like I said it's a nice venue and you can't beat the location. A little bit of upgrading and improvements would make it a really nice hotel.

What a fantastic place for a wedding!! They (Joe and Mercedes) made sure everything was perfect at my sons wedding and were so polite and easy to work with. We had over 30 rooms booked for the weekend and all were pleased with the accommodations. This is not a Marriott so realize where you are. They are doing a fine job and will help in any way that they can. They also have a nice pool and beautiful views of the ocean. The beach is perfect and the boardwalk is so well kept. We fell in love with Rehoboth Beach and can't wait to come back and stay at the Atlantic Sands!

I was worried after reading the reviews of this hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. I was greeted and checked in by very friendly staff. The hotel is divided in two. The ocean front side and the ocean view side where all the conference rooms are. I was on the ocean view side. The entire side seems to have been revamped a bit, new carpet paint etc. My room was nice and clean, new carpet, paint etc. Only complaint would be, if you were remodeling all the rooms, why didn't you remodel and replace the old faucets and shower head. The exhaust vent in the bathroom. was dirty and caked up a bit, as well. But other than those two things the room was fine. My balcony overlooked the road and other hotel but if I turned I could see the ocean. Most of the staff was extremely pleasant, I did run into a few employees who avoided eye contact and didn't want to say hello, but you get that everywhere. The restaurant and tiki bar were fun and enjoyable. Food was good drinks were good. The hotel's located directly on the boardwalk, and also in great walking distance to lots of the shops in main drag. The conference coordinators and help were great. They made sure it ran smoothly and they had everything they needed. So overall it was a good stay, nice room, and great location.

Do not stay here. Housekeeping takes everything that is not nailed down, from leftover pizza to medication.

If you had a choice- which section of the hotel would you request for your room?

I'm not sure which section, but I would recommend if you request oceanfront/ocean view you don't get a first floor room. The pool is right outside your balcony and there is little privacy. We went in the off season so it was ok, but otherwise I…

Driving up the long tree‑lined driveway instantly set the tone: quiet, open, and serene. We grabbed a shady spot under the trees, and Crystal came out right away with warm service and great recommendations. Their wine list includes reds, whites, and rosé, and we loved doing a five‑wine tasting to learn about each variety. They also offer a full cocktail menu made with their own craft brandy, plus house‑brewed beer for anyone who prefers hops over grapes. And there is also food. Farm‑to‑table dishes that pair perfectly with whatever is in your glass. Even pups get treated with their own Wine & Wags menu featuring a pup cup (can add berries with a biscuit), a frozen peanut butter cup, and plain chicken. Brie had the best time walking through the vineyard and relaxing in the shade, making this one of the most peaceful dog friendly stops in the area.

It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

When we arrived, we were given a room on the second floor that had an obstructed view. What the heck? We went back to the lobby and spoke with the receptionist and he changed us to a room on the fourth floor (402). That had a spectacular view of the canal and was the same price. So why didn't the first employee just offer it when we specifically asked for a room with a view and it was obviously unoccupied? Beats the heck out of me. The inn looks a little like a museum inside with its decorations and statues so if you like that sort of vibe, this would fit your needs. The bathtub is quite slippery which surprised me since most of the patrons staying here appear to be seniors. The room does have a mini fridge and has two complimentary water bottles which is nice. Their complimentary "European style breakfast" from 8-10 AM advertised on their website wasn't impressive at all. Be aware there are no hot foods. It's a few pastries, some fresh fruit, what looks like store made granola and individual yogurt cups, some bagels/toast. We are staying for two nights but you're missing nothing by eating breakfast elsewhere. I was still hungry after eating the meager breakfast provided. Super 8 would probably has a better breakfast. The front desk also leaves and/or stops answering the phones by 11 pm so if you have an overnight emergency or need, I think you're on your own. Overall, what you're paying for is the view (if you get even that) and proximity to the small downtown area. There is outdoor inn parking in a lot across the street. You do have to walk across the street and downhill to get from parking lot to the inn which could be hairy in rainy or snowy weather.
