We got off to a bumpy start here as there was a mechanical issue the day prior that canceled our initial reservation. Thankfully, they were able to move some stuff around and make it work for us on our second day in town so we could enjoy the snow ride, which was high on our list as a bunch of Southern California girls who never see the snow. It was more of a historical tour of Breckenridge, which might have been okay; however, the guide kept getting details confused, correcting herself, and then getting confused again. She did have an iPad with a supposed picture of a ghost that she shared, but even the kids in our group could identify it as a bad photoshop. All in all, we felt it was false advertising regarding the content of the tour and the presentation was not that entertaining.

They are the only company in this area with permits to ride through national forests. They provided everything we needed to have a great ride and Matt is a knowledgeable guide, good with kids, and very experienced. We saw wildlife, including a bull moose, elk, and mule deer. We traversed some awesome trails that could not be accessed by anything less than an ATV. After this experience we will be hiring Matt every year we that we come this way. I love that! There was little need to ask questions about the logistics of what we needed to do where we needed to go. They crushed it! I appreciated the genuine interaction with the staff again, from the time we entered the storefront, getting equipped with , instruction and training, the ride to and from the river, and of course, the on river experience. They knocked it out of the park! I have gone rafting in a number of places with a number of different outfitters. This business being small, fills in all the personalized gaps that you lose in larger companies. Kudos to Salinas adventures!...thanks Angie!
