A cute old-fashioned mom and pop breakfast spot. Honestly felt like I was younger again as my mom made breakfast in the kitchen. I had a country omelette and some home fries. Everything tasted alright as if it were homemade. A tad bit overcooked. Old school ambiance and decor. Unfortunately, they were out of a lot of things on the menu. My friend wanted a country fried steak & I originally wanted corn beef hash, but they had run out. If I lived in the area I would still give this place another try, could of just been an off day!

Chicken, fried steak with sausage gravy, and a huge half portion of hashbrowns.

Located in Salida's downtown District. The owners running this establishment are very friendly and very generous. The food is also delicious with huge portions! This restaurant is small and homey yet clean. The owners make it a point to sit and chat with you just so they get to know you. It seems a lot of locals come to this restaurant and the owners know them by name!

Please disregard all the bad reviews and just go try this place out. A little hole in the wall! It's mom and pop shop, it's dark and dingy, not dirty! The food is fantastic! My partner had the chicken fried steak and it came with eggs hash browns and biscuits and gravy and I can personally attest that it was delicious because I was dipping into his plate. I had the French toast, wow! It was so delicious! I also had a bbq pork Vietnamese sandwich and it was amazing! We shared an Apple fritter that was bigger than my face! The coffee was amazing, and I know because I like my coffee black with no sugar! We will definitely be coming back because my partner really loved their hash browns along with everything else.

Lucky to find this place on Yelp! Very happy with their friendly services, good prices. Breakfast were made to order, freshly made. My family love them. Will visit again in the near future. Highly recommended ! Looks like it is a family run business, not a fast food chain.

Mom and Pop breakfast and donut shop. Very sweet, funny and welcoming environment every time we went. It was only the parents working here, so be mindful when it gets busy. Food is very straightforward not too fancy or too expensive, turned out good everytime. Have not had a problem every time i came here and their bathroom is clean.

Staff was super friendly, went out of their way to make sure the tables were tidy, and refilled drinks really quick. The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. When you get broccoli and carrots on the same plate and neither have a mushy texture it makes me happy Will definitely be back again in the future.

Next my chicken Marsala, sauce almost spilled off plate, tasted like squeeze lemon, chicken dry potatoes thin and grainy, just disgusting. Then unbelievably my husbands hamburger was very rare, not understood since he ordered it well. No tip after all plates over half full. We have dined there many times over the years. But the problem used to always be twice the wait we were told, every time ( that was our families joke about the place. It was dead this time, the food explained that. We are frequent eat out family, but just mid it was not. We got a discount. But $103.00 later and annoyed and still hungry, it was not worth. Never again! On there behalf, my daughter liked her desert. Good luck at lasting very much longer, with that swill. Where was a manager or host of any kind. Who is running tje place and trying to keep some integrity for their bussiness. Just a bunch of young, big eyed women overwhelmed with wasted food and with many appologies.

We were seated right away, and our server greeted us shortly afterward. She was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the beer selection. If you're unsure what to order, they'll gladly provide complimentary samples, or you can opt for a beer flight to sample four different brews. I ordered the bacon nacho fries topped with pulled pork along with a beer flight. Every beer was cold, fresh, and flavorful. The nacho fries were the standout of the meal. They were surprisingly delicious. The fries stayed nice and crispy despite all the toppings, giving each bite a great balance of texture and flavor. Two of us shared the appetizer along with our drinks, and it was more than enough food. I'd definitely order it again. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the welcoming service, excellent craft beer, and tasty food, this is a place I'll definitely be returning to so I can work my way through more of the menu.

There's also a spacious private dining area off to the right that can be reserved for larger gatherings and is separated from the main dining room by doors. The menu features all the classic roadhouse favorites you'd expect. We visited with a party of 12, and our server did a great job keeping up with our large group. I will say that there was only one other table with patrons during our visit. So, I can't speak to the service when they are busy. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the service remained attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the carnitas tacos, which come with your choice of French fries or chips and salsa. I went with the chips and salsa. The meal includes two tacos, and they're much larger than traditional street tacos. I'd estimate they're about twice the size. The carnitas had great flavor and were served nice and hot. My only complaint was the amount of grease in each taco. Each time I picked up a taco, grease continuously dripped out at a steady rate for several seconds, making them a bit messy to eat. The chips were fresh with a satisfying crunch, and the salsa was flavorful. It paired well with both the chips and the tacos. Overall, the tacos were good, but I don't feel they justified the $18 price tag. Even so, I'd come back and give the restaurant another try, as there are several other items on the menu that looked worth ordering.

She said the flavor was great all around. I also had a few bites and was really impressed. I also got the Western Smash burger, which tasted good but I thought could have used a little more bbq sauce to bring out the western in the name. I should have asked for jalapeños as well as j think this would have paired nicely. Flavor on the burger was good and the fries left a little to be desired as they were good but I think would have benefited from an optional seasoning, even if there was a slight charge. Something like Cajun, or garlic parm? Just a thought. Overall, I'd say 4/5 stars for this and will definitely be giving them more of our business!
