To be honest, I don't go to Sally's often. However, I was pretty excited to find out that Sally sells earrings and piercing kits from Studex at a much cheaper price than Amazon. This Sally's was the most convenient location for me with plenty of parking. The staff I encountered were all helpful. Ever since my first visit, I've returned a handful of times and each time the customer service has been good. visited the Fremont, CA location and I asked the person working there to help me. She answered a couple of my questions and a few minutes later I had more questions. There was one person ahead of me again and I asked her to please help me when she was done with that person. She said OK and I turned back to what I was looking at. Then she started helping somebody else in the aisle next to me. I went up to her, got eye contact and she ignored me. After a couple minutes she apologized and said she would be right with me. When she was done with that person she went up to the front desk and started helping the FIVE people that were standing at the register. I asked her what about me and she said she couldn't help me until she was done ringing up all the other people. I said that I was ahead of all of them and that she had already told me she would help me. She repeated that she had to ring up people first. It's infuriating to have multiple people be allowed to cut in front of me. I had legitimately waited my turn. I left the store because it was terrible treatment. I didn't do anything to deserve that. Then I called the customer service line and got cut off after a long hold. I still have questions about hair color and I feel frustrated and mistreated. read more

After about 10 minutes of silence (no hold music or estimate), I heard weird beeping noises and the call ended. After a bad experience at Ulta, I came to Sally Beauty Supply to shop for false eyelashes. I have never worn false eyelashes before, & the store associate was really helpful, as she suggested a couple of false eyelashes to use for a beginner like me. I ended up purchasing Ardell wispies, which was one of the recommendations the store associate suggested I use. I love the Ardell wispies! I am hoping to purchase other types of false eyelashes in the future, so I can experiment with other kinds, & see which one(s) I like best. read more

I will never go to sally's again. They don't restock items and everything is over priced for low quality. I used to like their clip in extensions recently I went to buy some, they're sealed in a box and you can't look at them until it's purchased and once opened can't return them. I used to come here frequently but after the last time I'll be going elsewhere from now on. The problem is really centered on the older woman with long, (badly) dyed black hair. She's rude and argumentative. This has happened the last two times I was there and it makes me wonder if she just hates her job or if she gets off on being able to be rude without penalty. She seems to have some authority (she's been there for all or most of the years I've been going there) and I've seen her being rude to employees, too. Whatever is wrong with her, it's grown worse over the last couple of years. I suspect their sales are down, based on how few customers I see there lately. They'll find some other reason to blame for that - but I suspect she's a big part of the reason. Petty tyrants like her need to realize that customers can buy the same products elsewhere and not have to put up with her rudeness. read more

Shout out to Esther Marqleez she hooked a girl up, I usually avoid signing up for the Sallys discount card because it use to be 5 dls , but Esther insisted on signing up , I explained that every time I would buy the discount card it would expire when I needed to use it , she said it's free I saved 2dls off my purchase and found out it has been free for a while, until Esther had the great costumer service to explain this to me I did not know! Walked in to this store first it's the friendly lady at the counter starred cheating with us very nice and humorous and engaging. While I love a quick and simple beauty supply store that covers a good variety of items and pleasant staff, sadly the actually time the store opens and closes varies. For example at least 10 patrons came and left because the store is supposed to open at 10:00AM (Sat) and it's 10:30 and nobody is here. The store has not been opened up yet. I'm still standing here but about ready to leave too. It's hard enough for business to sustain so this certainly is not going to help. I'm hoping by posting this that management will do something so we can keep our Sally's around. Called , no answer and no option to speak with anyone else or to leave a message. :( I called one of the other stores so the staff can at least contact management and she was kind enough to pass along the message but did not get an answer other than an acknowledgment. Wow. Management better step it up! I've been in management for most of my career and the way this is being handled is very poor. Clearly zero back up plan and no effort to roll up their sleeves to come to open the store. It's a shame. read more

The people that work there are pretty friendly, but as far as product knowledge they are for the most part unclear, and I believe that to be true for most Sally's people that I have encountered. During my check out, the store associate informed me that the bleach products that I was going to purchase wouldn't do much for my hair. Went in yesterday after work wit my sister-in-law in search of a new hair color. Heads up I have really no clue what is best since I have only change hair color twice, so I ask the front lady what she suggested was best for me I have really really black hair and was unsure of what to use. Went this past Monday and as soon as walked in was greeted by the older black women. Sadly I did not get her name but was very helpful in prices for my argan oil.
