I stopped in with my daughter to buy hair dye. We already had a brand in mind and were pretty much ready to pay, so we were only planning to be there for a few minutes. Isabel casually asked if the dye was for my daughter and what she was hoping to do with her hair. You could immediately tell she wasn't just trying to make a sale--she was genuinely interested in helping her get the best result while also protecting her hair. My daughter wanted to go red, and Isabel took the time to recommend a product/company she really trusted that would give her the color she wanted while causing minimal damage and also explained the benefits of the leave-in product. She was so knowledgeable, caring, and positive without ever being pushy. I left the decision up to my daughter, and she decided to take Isabel's advice. We are SO glad she did because she absolutely loves how her hair turned out! More than anything, I appreciated the genuine conversation and the time Isabel took with us. I love Sally's Beauty Supply since where I use to live in Fullerton. The shop is the perfect size. Not too big and I always seem to find whatever I'm looking for here regards to beauty supplies minus the make up area. They use to carry my fav false lashes Andrea but they still carry Ardell and Lots of Varieties too. Lots of parking and easy accessible. Customer service is great. I just left this Sally Beauty location and felt like I had to leave a review. I've had consistently amazing experiences here, and today Victoria helped me. She was incredible. I've also been helped by other team members in the past. I wish I remembered all their names. Every single time the experience is the same. Thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. What stands out is that no one here is pushy or salesy. They actually know their products and take the time to help you find what works for you. I went to Sally Beauty at 3308 Yorba Linda Blvd with my wife the other day and had an awesome customer service experience. We were looking for a specific hair dye that appeared to be sold out because the space on the shelf where it was displayed was empty. We asked the cashier and she said the it was probably sold out, but this conversation was overheard by Nicole, the store manager, who went to the back to get us the dye we wanted from a shipment that recently arrived. We were quite pleased with this action. Nicole was friendly, knowledgeable, polite, and professional. This is not the first time we have been helped by her in such a way either. At a different time we were shopping at this same store and she helped us, even though she had just told the other workers that she was leaving for the day. She took the extra time to assist us, and also informed us of a sale on the specific product we were buying which saved us money. She further answered each of our questions and made sure we were satisfied. Nicole has excellent customer service skills and goes out of her way to help all customers in the store. Have not been satisfied with my hair color since I decided to return to my natural brown. If my hair color came in a formula it would be called "Nothing Brown." As I walked in, there was a sign posted that said the "Color Consultant" was in. I was warmly greeted by an adorable young woman who said it was her. She introduced herself as Nicole. I had so many questions on how to get my hair some shine and vibrance and she patiently walked me through brand after brand explaining the result I would get with each until we came to the one I chose. This review is more for Nicole than for Sally's, but I guess Sally's gets some props for hiring Nicole. She's patient, kind and really knows hair color! First off, every single one of the employees that work here are the most pleasant, nice, sweet and helpful people I have encountered that day every time I visit this store. This store is always clean and there is always someone willing to help with a great attitude and a smile on their face. I love this store. They have great products, but I bought a babyliss foil shaver and it turns out it had been opened and used already, I had paid full price for it which is crazy and pretty scummy. And the item was a final sale item so I can't even return it and spend my money somewhere else. Just be care full with this store they seem ok with ripping off their customers. Horrible customer service !!!!!! I went to this location even though there is a closer one by my house because of the exceptional reviews. To start off I went on Saturday 2/26 around 5pm, it was not busy and there were several employees working. I bought some hair color. They had a great selection but the customer service here is lacking completely. The employees were just standing around not even asking any of the customers if they needed help or anything , unlike the other locations I have been to. When I checked out the girl ( she had short bangs and shoulder length black hair) who rung me up was horrible. She didn't even say hi just grabbed my stuff . I asked if I had any rewards I can use and she said it super annoyed no I just checked. Excuse me how did you check looked more like you were texting. Didn't offer a bag , barely told me my total. She was too busy texting the whole time . She needs to be trained in better customer service. She basically didn't acknowledge me while I was being rung up, she was so busy on her phone to even do her job, truly horrible customer service. Will not be going back to this location. read more

When I went back a month later she recommended me another shampoo for my son, and it's also very good. She is very patience and friendly everytime I stopped by. I really want to give this location a 4 star rating, but as a hyper-knowledgeable dye-hard, when an associate tells me that dying orange hair with blue will turn it purple I have to scoff (ps - you MUST dye your hair with a blue-based product if your hair is orange and the worst case scenario is green, not purple). After 10 years of chemical processing/dying I decided to throw caution to the wind and start dying my hair with henna - I should note that I have a medical condition that is thinning my hair so chemical-free seems the way to go. While the henna dye I've been using has been beautiful, the commitment was too long term and I wanted to get rid of it (side note - you can NOT get "rid" of henna). After many unsuccessful home removal treatments (via YouTube), color remover, and bleach, the henna was not going to come out of my hair and I needed to try color correcting my now white roots with orange tresses. I came to this Sally's with two ideas - treat the orange like a chemical orange or go blue so that my hair can naturally - over time - color correct itself as the dye comes out. When I came in there were abundant sales staff with helpful demeanors and I was, unwantingly, referred to a manager when I asked for the location of a product and mentioned to the associate my current process. When a manager came he instructed me on the difficulties of henna, after I had just told this to another associate, and then was told how I should just go back to the red I started with, but chemically. Simply looking for a product, I then had to explain my hair "life story" to this manager again for him only to insist that I go back to red or dark brown. Frustrated, I then spent the next 10 minutes avoiding him as I sneakily found and gathered the supplies I came for and hurried to the cash register to check out. Had I not know anything about hair color, or the status of my predicament, he would have been helpful. However, going through the repetitive explaining, agreeing, and then dodging him to get what I wanted, was not worth me asking where they kept a product. Also, when I told him my idea of buying the complimentary color to wash out the orange and he definitively stating that orange and blue makes purple, I completely lost respect for his knowledge. If you're ever trying to get rid of a color, particularly when you're trying to negate it, go for the opposite color on the color wheel. Or, if you've graduated elementary school, blue and orange do not equal purple -_-. If you're looking for extensive, basic help this is your Sally's. If you're a dye-hard like me and know what you want, run in, grab it, and leave quickly...or else you may find yourself defending your hair actions to someone who doesn't know a basic color wheel. But there's 1 person who has made me mess up my hair a couple of times by giving me wrong advice and that is the Store manager, I know she recently was promoted she was the Assistant Manager. I've noticed she's had weird, passive aggressive, and rude behavior. She tried giving someone wrong advice and I stepped in when the store manager walked away. And when she came back she made a face to me a gesture of "what is this person on" a face of rolling her eyes catty attitude. I think it's unprofessional for a manager to act like a teenager. When all I was doing was trying to help that other costumer out. It's not the first time she's acted like that towards costumers as I've seen it happen before. I would like to see some change in her manner of speech , her engagement, her parlance, and her vocabulary. As I think she needs to learn how to engage with costumers better read more

i got my hair dyed a fun color for the first time, and my hair stylist recommended a color transferring conditioner. alec was working, and there were several people in the store besides me. i was greeted and told that id be helped soon, which was awesome. alec finished helping the other customer and helped me out, recommending a semi permanent mixed with a mask, since they didnt have my color in conditioner, super smart idea! he was super patient and answered all my questions, and gave really good information based on experience. he was super chill and also attentive to the other customers as well, it was super impressive to see someone with such great customer service skills and patience. shoutout to alec!! give him a raise! read more

I came here to pick out dye to make my hair a little darker & cover up my grays As soon as I walked in Kathleen warmly greeted me. She was extremely helpful in showing me which products would dye my hair to the shade I wanted. Then she asked if I had the tools to mix the dye and developer.
