They have the volume product I needed. Although they only had 40 volume instead of the 50 but I know that this is typical. I being a male walking in the lady knew pretty much I wasn't dying here with it but doing some sort of Weekend Warrior Project with the peroxide. I was also corrected and told that it's called developer now and not necessarily peroxide. I get that it would have feel to women more by calling it a slightly different name. They tendon was very nice I couldn't tell if she was just annoyed with me at first but she was cool. I will definitely be back again and I'll keep poking my head in to see if they get some of the 50 volume. I wish they could stock more if they know that they're going to be running out of it all the time they should try to buy more and maybe even limit the quantity that people buy. But that's just me they still get five stars read more

Sally has been playing with my emotions for years! Just when I get attached to a product, it get discontinued! waaahhh This is my "neighborhood" Sally store. The employees here are friendly and helpful. They seemed to be well stocked and have my go-to products available here regularly. eh-hem, see above (eyeroll) so I guess like Game of Thrones, don't get too attached to anything...you never know when it'll get the axe. I've shopped at Sally's for years, but yesterday I dealt with incredibly rude service at this Sparks location. I was looking at hair color selections, and had planned to ask a question about some highlighting solution I was holding. The cashier was busy with someone else, so I just kept browsing until she finished. While browsing, I found a couple of other colors I was interested in. Involved at looking at the hair swatches, I hadn't realized the cashier was now standing behind me until I got a loud "EXCUSE ME" blasted into my ear. I jumped, and mumbled "sorry", while she barreled past me, walking to a cart of haircolor boxes she was shelving. She proceeded to push the cart directly in front of where I was looking, which blocked most of the products. I stood there for a second, trying to look around the edges of the cart, but she just stared at me as though I had tentacles growing from my head! There was no "can I help you" - just furious scowling. It was absolutely bizarre! At this point, I wanted to get out of the store as fast as possible. Forgetting that I was still holding the box of highlighter along with my 2 other items, I practically ran to the checkout counter. Noticing the highlighter, I pushed it aside & she said "are you going to buy this or what". Fearing any question-asking, I told her I changed my mind and would only like to purchase the other 2 items. She silently rang up my purchase, got irritated that I swiped my credit card "too soon" and finally this awful transaction was over with. After leaving, I looked at the receipt to see if her name was on it, but couldn't find it. Don't know who this lady was, but if she was having a bad day or something, she should try to not take it out on the customers! In regard to the physical store itself, I would give 4 stars. They have a great selection, low prices. The only down side is that the stores are very tiny, making it nearly impossible for more than 2 people to brows an aisle at a time. Otherwise - aside from this awful woman, I've had good experiences at all the Sally locations in Reno/Sparks. read more

I have shopped at Sally's for years. My last purchase was $40. When I requested a bag for my merchandise I was told that would be 15¢. Needless to say I was flabbergasted. I will purchase these items from Amazon in the future. read more

They have have a great selection of products for anything you need and decent prices. I always renew my Sally Card and get shout a 10% instant discount on everything. A couple of the ladies that work here are more concerned about complaining about the customers to each other while in front of customers. I've worked customer service and get it, but you don't do that on the sales floor. The older dark haired lady is never pleasant. I overheard her telling a customer that asked for help with bleaching her hair "I can't help you with that, I just stocks the shelves". read more

I think that all Sally's are set up the same because wherever I go everything I need to get is alwayd where it should be regardless of location. Personally, I prefer to go to the Sally's in the winco shopping center, but that's just me. The girls here were not very helpful. I color my hair a lot, but am also trying to grow it out. I explained this to one of the ladies working so she showed me the line of products they had. I told her all of the stuff I currently use. She said if those products don't work I suggest cutting your hair. Not what I wanted to hear. There's plenty of parking as Sally's shares the lot with many other businesses such as port of subs and planet fitness. All in all I suppose I will return if I'm in the area and in need of beauty supplies. read more

First I would like to say that I love Sally's and I have spent my fair share and I love the Sally's club card. I've had a few bad experiences with a couple employees but today was by far the worst. I went to the location in sparks on Mccarran just to try a different store and right off the bat the girl that was working(I should have gotten her name) bigger white girl with a real additude problem. I have never in my life been treated in a way that made me feel so uncomfortable I had to leave. Right away the girl was eye balling me and kept trying to look in my purse.she kept asking me why I didn't decide the purchase a couple things I had picked up and looked at. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong. This girl should not work in customer service and I will be calling corporate and the better business b. Went here in search of nail polish to replace some of mine that have dried out. Most of the store seemed devoted to hair care, including styling, color, and equipment. The place was clean and well stocked and I was asked if I needed help right away when I entered. I took a quick browse around the whole store before taking my final picks up to the counter. There is a small section of what looked to be like store brand cosmetics near the front counter. I'd be more interest in this place as a beauty professional, because that is what this place's layout and products seem to cater too. read more

As I licensed cosmetologist, I prefer shopping at Sally's as opposed to CosmoProf & any other "licensed professionals only" places for my hair product. The girls are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable & the prices are much better than the others. read more

A sign at door saying "cash only". Understandable, credit card system down. The cashier was helping someone, my daughter and I got in line behind them. She walked away after and we waited for about 5 minutes for her to return, I said hello and she came out and said she was on phone and couldn't help anyone so we could wait until she was done. I let her know we had cash. She tells whoever she is on phone with that the people in store don't understand what can't help you means. She basically said she wouldn't help us. Totally rude and out of line. I will not return EVER. read more
