My husband was asked to leave because he did not have a mask on due to a medical condition that prevents him from wearing a mask, by an employee who was not wearing a mask due to a medical condition. If it is a company policy to refuse service to customers with medical conditions who are not able to wear masks, which legally has no grounds, how can a worker be in the store without a mask? This is pure discrimination. read more

An associate at the Georgetown, Tx store went above and beyond. I inquired about a crystal nail file that never stays in stock. The file is worth having in your nail kit!!! A Sally's employee offered to add my name and number to a list of people who want to get their hands on one. I was shocked to receive a call to come in and pick it up. What, how thoughtful!!! Update: The store moved one door down and the current staff members are AMAZING! All polite, courteous and very knowledgeable. Alyssa, Hailey and Mary are all my new best friends! Let's just hope I spelled their names correctly) I needed guidance and they gave educated answers. I sent the following complaint to corporate recently: At about 6pm on Saturday 6/28/14, I drove 13 miles from my home to the Sally's in Georgetown, TX at Wolf Ranch Towncenter. Sally's was my destination in my big vehicle with low gas mileage. When I entered the store with my teen son, a young employee answered my greeting. My son and I were on the hair color row for a long time (5 minutes)as I was in need of a color change that required a lot of thought. An older employee came down the aisle with a broom. She did not greet me nor did she offer to help me find something. She said "Don't move," and she SWEPT AROUND MY SANDALED FEET! I stepped back and cried out. She said "What? I didn't get your toes." I was LIVID. I shouted "Am I in your way?? Are you crazy? Guess what? Sallys won't be getting my money today! You have ZERO MANNERS!" And I left the store with my son. I am a regular Sally's customer in California. I recently moved to Texas and this was my first visit here. Mind you, I was happy and excited to be going to Sally's! I intended to buy hair color, developer and scissors. So, I would have spent about $45 - $50. Lost revenue is not the point here, really. I am 53 years old and have NEVER been treated like dirt on the floor in any retail establishment before tonight. Now tha I think of it, NO ONE ANYWHERE has ever treated me that way! Get your district manager out to that store in Wolf Ranch Towncenter to teach your employees common courtesy!! I will probably be back -- but to a different Sally store. I went to Sally's at the Georgetown wolf ranch store to buy me a set of clippers. A young brunette greeted me in a very friendly way. I returned the greeting. I could not find the clippers so I went to the counter and asked a chubby blond cashier where I can find them, she was almost zombie like . she pointed behind her and said right there and continued to look at some paper work, I than said I would like to buy them. she grabbed them ,rang it up and didn't say a work. I asked how much, she told me the price. I bought them and didn't even get a word from the chubby blond cashier. It was almost like I was bothering her. I shop at Sally's all the time. I am a licensed nail tech and frequently stock up on nail goodies here, but that's not why I'm writing this review! I'm writing this review because I came in wanting to get a new look with my hair - one I knew would be difficult to achieve and I knew I needed some help with bleach and such because I am only licensed and trained to do nails. So I came in and spoke with a cute little lady (who's name I just can't remember! Boo!!) I know she has short very blonde hair, almost grey it's so blonde. Anyway.....I wanted to do half of my hair black and the other half white. I was bleaching from dark brown hair, and needed some help with bleaches and toners and hair masks for my newly damaged hair. This blonde girl was so knowledgeable she helped me pick a bucket of bleach (a cheaper value than buying a ton of smaller packets) she informed me of different levels of developer and how they lift. She then helped me pick a toner for my orange hair and told me how to mix it. THEN she showed me a great hair mask (Last Call) to help my hair recover and also told me about other protein hair masks. She also showed me the purple shampoo I should use on my blonde hair to keep it from getting brassy. She spent a lot of time with me and I really appreciated the help. In the end, after three bleachings, I was able to achieve a verrrry blonde on half my hair. I also used the hair mask and it was super awesome too. I'm very happy with the service I received and I wish I could remember the young lady's name! I will be back for sure. read more

I can see why you have a sign advertising for new workers. I can only hope it is because you are firing the blond Millennial clockwatcher you have at the Georgetown, Texas, store. She seemed incredibly disinterested in her job. So much so that she waved in the general direction of the product, telling me it was in a red bottle - do you know how many red bottles there are on that wall? But this is the worst part of it all. I got red highlights over the weekend and went there looking for a shampoo that would retain the highlights. I asked her SPECIFICALLY what would work for newly-dyed hair. Just to make sure I got the right thing - because this is the first time I tried red - I sent my colorist a shot of the ingredients and the front of the bottle. She about came through the phone because what I was sold to enhance my newly-colored hair would have STRIPPED OUT THE COLOR WITHIN TWO WEEKS! So I am glad I didn't make a $125 mistake by using the product. I want to take it back for a refund, but I don't want to set foot in the place, much less interact with the "whatev" fool you have tending the shop. Don't know what can be done about this, really. I'd rather return it to a clerk who actually knows something about products in the store, if I can't just leave the bottle in front of the store and get a check in the mail. This was my first time visiting a Sally store, and it will be my last. Selling me a product that would ruin my dye job!? I have no words. Please be a little more selective in your hiring practices at least - PLEASE. read more
