We have to get ice cream at Sally's every time we go to Flagler Beach!!! So many flavors to choose from it is hard to choose!

Sally sold ice cream cones by the seashore, it's a little easier to say but just an authentic Americana as the well-known tongue twister. Sally's Ice Cream has always been a staple for trips to Flagler Beach no matter if it's day or night. The ice cream is always sweet and the flavor selection is enormous and recently with the added small grill menu it really has become a straight off the beach go-to. The grilled hot dogs, especially the one with sweet onion sauce, and burgers are filling after a full morning hitting the waves and the prices are cheap which makes them acceptable as a snack too. The only reason Sally's can't get a solid five in my book, for what that matters anyways (this place is an institution haha), is the peach flavor frozen yogurt and the black cherry ice cream. To you fruity ice creams may miss the mark but, hear me out. After a long exhausting day of near heat exhaustion and salt covered everything a little freshness in the form of fruit cold iced dairy treats is refreshing! But these fruit flavors were strangely artificial tasting. After inquiring I was informed there were real fruit chucks inside both flavors but I still wasn't convinced. The other ice cream offerings are straightforward good wholesome flavors like Vanilla Peanut Butter, creamy- a little bit salty and perfectly swirled also a Monkey themed one with peanut butter and tropical coconut but also, Butter Pecan and Maple Walnut, Chocolate Chip and playful Cookie Monster with chunks of full crunchy cookies. They also have huge sundaes (to share) loaded down with whipped cream, candy pieces and other delectable sweet toppings. Honestly, I have never been disappointed at Sally's sadly except for when it came to my Peach and my Black Cherry choices, everything else my family or I have ordered has been delightful and we keep coming back year after year making it a tradition that I will pass down until Sally decides to go back to selling seashells, which will be a sad sad day. read more

As we all know, Florida is pretty much year round Summer with a few days of could sprinkled in, so Ice Cream is a basically a year round treat in Flagler Beach. One of my favorite family activities is popping over to Sally's in the Golf Cart with Dad C. & Step-Mum (year round Flagler Beachers) and getting a tasty scoop of Ice Cream and watching folks go by on A1A. Sally's also has my two all time favorite flavors of Ice Cream as well. I know you're thinking, it's an Ice Cream place,how complicated can the flavors be?? The sad truth is that not all Ice Cream shops have Black Cherry OR Cottony Candy flavor!! (GASP!) I know it's incredibly sad but true. And there's way more that just these two crazy flavors, Yelps, they rotate some out and there's even some sugar free and frozen yogurt options too. There's also a small grill menu, with Hot Dogs and Burgers. The Dogs and Burgers have some interesting topping choices. I had the Onion Dog, with a homemade onion sauce with cheese. It didn't look like much to me at first, but it was simply delicious. I easily could have had two, but you know, Ice Cream is what we came for after all. I haven't tried the burgers yet, but I can tell you the price is right for food menu. All of dogs came out hot and tasty. So we will definitely be back for a quick snack or an affordable lunch option. If you are weekending or summer vacationing in FB, there's pretty much no way you can miss Sally's, so do yourself and your fam a solid and get to Sally's. read more

Me and my family have been coming here for years and love it! I recommend this place a lot. My only issue was the political portion, I respect everyone's beliefs but it was very hard to focus on other things than the millions of signs around the building. I think they should continue to show their beliefs but consider other people and how this would affect their business. Other than this we have gotten amazing service (especially for a huge family including cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents), they also have amazing ice cream and a good variety of flavors! read more

I'm writing this on behalf of my wife and kids and how much they loved this place. The ice cream is made off site, however, it has a distinct homemade taste. My wife got the salted caramel and I had a small bite. Holy moly. Was the best version of this ice cream I had ever tasted. The little guys loved their ice creams, but hey, not the most hard to please crew in the world. Parking is a little tight, the venue is outside with picnic tables but still super cool. First let me say the vegan ice cream here is delicious. But, the customer service is not so good unless the manager is present. I went recently and I was given quarts of ice cream with lids too big and in one quart i was only given two thirds of the container and the second one was milky ice cream that was not frozen. The young person at the window was rude and there was no obvious reason for it. The sad thing about this is I don't know why a place that takes pride in its product would give such service to a customer. Sad, I will not go back. This is an outdoor counter walkup. They have a few picnic tables sprinkled around if you want to sit. Plenty of flavor choices and I saw several banana splits coming out that looked delish is you're inclined to have a big serving. As far as the ice cream itself, thumbs up from my crew. I am relegated to dairy free and I had the strawberry. It was fantastic. They have another flavor or two of dairy free but if (when) we go back, I'm hitting up the strawberry again, for sure. How can one not rate this place 5 stars? Really great historic A1A ice cream shoppe with loads of flavors, old fashioned and softserve not to mention gluten free, sugar free, and dairy free options. Finally visited there for the first time yesterday. Yeah, it was a cold and windy day but who cares, always a good day for ice cream. I ordered just one scoop in a cup and it was less than $4 which I think is a good price now a days. Mint choco chip, my favorite. Very legit ice cream. Very disappointing. I went here in April which the place was awesome and service was spectacular. I then came back two more times extremely disappointed. First time service was acting like I was inconveniencing them. They had a huge line so I chalked that off as tourist season hit them hard and quick. The second time was just the other day and I had to cool off before hammering them. First, I walked up with my daughter and a lady jumped in front of me when the counter was asking what I wanted. The counter kid took her order which made me think they knew the person because that started my frustration. Anyway the lady ordered about 10 ice creams. When I said something to the counter person they said they were here just thinking. Which was BS she walked up from the beach. Next, my daughter ordered cookies and creme ice cream that tasted like it melted and was refrozen a bunch of times. It made her sick, and I almost threw up when I tasted it. My first choice was not available because they said it was popular and out. My second choice they said was not frozen. Which now goes back to my daughters ice cream. WTH does your coolers not work? Are you serving bad food? Your customer service really needs to be looked at, maybe stop hiring kids that want tip money to buy a car! Avoid this place until they fix their business.
