Food was delicious, service was a little lacking. Our waiter seemed rushed and distracted, he had a large area to cover. Two other waitresses helped him out with our food and drink delivery. I ordered a cherry Diet Coke with my meal but it was never served so I had to ask for it from one of the waitresses. It came with no cherry. Then I had to ask for my refill and I still just got a Diet Coke. Apparently adding cherry was a stretch. Also don't try and sit outside on the patio if you are a larger person, the chairs have arms and are impossible to sit in. We had to move inside to a booth. They also allowed a large dog to sit with their owner on the patio but both times we went past he was in the aisle rather than out of the way. read more

The staff here is rude and indifferent. Orders are regularly messed up. The staff appears to believe that they can treat guests rudely because they know the restaurant doesn't have a lot of options. The best thing about this place is the venue. They have a beautiful patio that overlooks Payette Lake and a fantastic interior. The inside had a beautiful mix of wood and steel. The tables in the bar are stunning! I want one in my house. My husband ordered the Hazy Hef and I had the grapefruit sour (both on tap). We liked both. The menu is quite small. A lot of fried appetizers, some expensive salads and some burgers and pub entrees. I couldn't find anything that I was in love with, so I just ordered the soup and salad. The salad was good (spring mix, grape tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and goat cheese crumbles). I had the beer cheese soup and it was pretty disappointing. I was expecting big flavor and it was almost devoid of cheesy goodness. It was pretty expensive...$9.50. My husband ordered the chicken wings. About 10 wings for $14. YIKES! We came at a very slow time, 2:45 in the afternoon on a Friday. We ordered nachos with no onions and the Brie and huckleberry shared plate. It took 30 minutes to get any food and I had to go in and ask. After waiting all that time, the nachos had onions. The Brie was good, the nachos were dry and basic. They told us that the nachos had avocado and they did not plus they are really skimpy with the cheese and they put the nachos on paper that tears and sticks to things so you are probably eating paper. It didn't seem like a shortage of staff as there were people standing around. It just seemed like they didn't care at all about providing a good experience, they barely came back to check on us. You tip when you order at the bar so there is really no incentive for the waitress. This place would not stay in business with more competition. read more

Putting the beer tap in the glass until it touches is a huge no no. And running the beer in the glass until it touches the tap and slows over is also a rookie mistake. It makes the yeast dry and crust in the end of the tap and future beers taste funny. From one bartender to another. Sharpen your skills man. You can do better. Or that they are from San Diego and have a great product. Learn your craft better. Kinda a lackluster bar experience. Boring to be honest. Host lady was super nice. Very accommodating. They closed a bar and a roof section but could see open tables in sections that were open, no offer to sit at the bar. We visit McCall every summer for a week-long family trip, and make a point to eat at SRB at least twice. The menu is robust but not overwhelming, with a lot of variety and different flavors. The Thai Beef Basil Salad is so yummy. The beer is amazing - they always have seasonal flavors and the classics - Udaho Citrus is delicious! Now that the brewery took over the courtyard and have a full bar, they check all the boxes. The mango marg is to die for! Dog friendly, kid friendly, good service and dependable food and drinks. Disappointing sums it up. We've eaten at several places in McCall and this is by far the worst service of all of them. A few weeks ago the sushi place across the street was open for lunch but now it's not so we headed over to SRB. The view is good if you can get the right table. The food was mediocre. The hostess or waitress who finally greeted us was friendly. I say finally because a few other employees walked by without saying a word as we stood there waiting to be seated. I did see her waiting tables later but unfortunately she was not our waitress. So once seated our waitress brings water to the table fairly quickly. Then it goes downhill. She took a while to get back to take our order. She was not friendly, didn't even seem to care to be there and acted line we were an inconvenience. I thought it was just us until I heard her to talk to other patrons this way. So we order and after a decent wait another lady brings our food out in a hurry and says 'your waitress will be back to make sure you have everything you need' as she's walking away. No big deal except our waitress didn't come back until my husband was already done with his food and we were out of water. I ask for something and she just walks away. She bring out the condiment we asked for and then we don't see her again until she brings the check. As far as the food... Burger was not great, kind of bland and overcooked. Fries were not good. Sandwiches were good but bread was hard. Chicken wrap did not have much chicken but had a lot of lettuce. The fries that came with the wrap were actually good, I think they were rosemary garlic or something like that. Anyway, overall it was not worth the trip or the money since their menu is kind of pricey. read more

We stopped by one evening and there was a 2 hour wait time, so we made a reservation for another day and got a great table on the patio. Pretty much everywhere in McCall is understaffed right now, so we expected to have slow service, but our waitress was attentive and kind. We had to wait on our beer flights, but it's a brewery and it was a Friday, so the bar being a little slow was understandable. I have been to Salmon River Brewery on a couple of different occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed my visits. Their Buzz Buzz Coffee Porter is a must try. It's made with Boise's own Dawson Taylor coffee (awesome!) and is absolutely rich and delicious. I also enjoy their Blarney Stone Dark Ale, which is an Irish Ale reminiscent of Guinness and is smooth and refreshing. Their fish and chips is amazing. The serving of cod is huge (seriously...a ginormous fillet!). The tartar sauce is perfect and I typically pay the extra buck to trade the standard fries for their sweet potato waffle fries (sweet potato WAFFLE fries? what? Yeah. You heard me.). I also thoroughly enjoy their garlic rosemary fries (who doesn't love potatoes paired with rosemary? It's a winning combination). The service is always lovely from the person who helps you at the podium when you enter (you need to check in--it looks like it might be a seat yourself sort of joint but its not) to the server to the bartender who always gives a wave and thanks as you exit. Just plain nice people. Added bonus? Patio seating with a view of Payette Lake. Gorgeous! Get to it! read more

Seems like such an opportunity to really get it right, with the view of the lake and indoor/outdoor seating. Service - yeah... could have been better. Again, not bad, but slower than it had to be. We weren't there during a busy time, but we felt like an afterthought. Food - okay... My steak was OK, but nothing at all to brag about.
